Perry Yates hesitated for a moment before putting the Talent Card away for now.

In fact, she had already decided which Talent to replace: Retrospect.

Although the ability to see past events was powerful, when compared to seeing the future, Perry’s choice was clear.

Moreover, the range of applications for Retrospect was clearly much smaller than that of foreknowledge.

So, if she had to discard one, it would definitely be Retrospect. But... even with that in mind, Perry felt a little reluctant.

’Forget it. I’ll deal with this when I get back.’

With that thought, Perry got up and walked outside.

It was the second day of the game. The sea was calm and the sky was clear—it looked like it would be a beautiful day. Perry looked at the sun outside, planning to go sunbathe for a while to accumulate some solar energy.

Just then, a smiling waitress approached her. "Did you just wake up, ma’am? Would you like to dine in the restaurant? The sashimi is very fresh today. The captain caught it himself with his crew."

Hearing "sashimi," Perry was reminded of the sea fish with parasites she had seen earlier. She shook her head and said, "I don’t eat raw or cold things."

"Why not? Is it because you don’t like it? But today’s sashimi is truly fresh, and we even have some rare tuna. It’s very popular!"

The waitress was like a devoted fan, passionately promoting her "idol" to a stranger like Perry.

Faced with the waitress’s enthusiasm, Perry put on a perfectly calibrated smile and said, "It’s not that I don’t want to try, but I really can’t eat it. You know how it is for women—we sometimes have minor issues like period cramps. I really can’t eat anything raw or cold."

Hearing Perry say this, the waitress, also a woman, gave her a look of empathetic understanding. "If you need it, we can provide you with some ibuprofen."

"Thank you. I’ll let you know if I need it."

After the waitress left, Perry returned to her room. When she emerged again, she had changed her clothes.

A white, off-the-shoulder dress fell to her ankles, adorned all over with blooming Sunflowers.

These Sunflowers weren’t simple patterns; they were three-dimensional, as if they were real.

In addition, Perry wore a pair of oversized sunglasses that covered half her face and a yellow sun hat on her head.

Without exception, her sunglasses, sun hat, jewelry, and even her shoes were all decorated with Sunflowers. From a distance, she looked like a glittering, blooming bouquet.

Arriving at the cruise ship’s pool, she saw that there were already people swimming. Perry paid them no mind, found a lounge chair in the sunniest spot, and lay down to blissfully soak up the sun.

As Perry sunbathed, the Sunflowers on her clothes began to change subtly.

However, the Sunflowers were already in full bloom, and the changes were so minute and slow that they didn’t attract much attention.

Since she was sunbathing, Perry naturally didn’t need to eat. Aside from regularly hydrating and occasionally sipping a drink, Perry remained completely still.

She stayed there until sunset. Watching the sun begin to dip below the horizon, Perry finally rose from her lounge chair and unhurriedly made her way toward the seventh floor, where her room was located.

On her way back, Perry encountered some people in patrol uniforms, holding notebooks and writing something down.

When they saw Perry approaching, they held out a hand to stop her. After asking for her room number and checking her key card, one of them asked, "Have you encountered anyone acting strangely today?"

Hearing this, Perry shook her head. "No, I was at the outdoor pool sunbathing all day."

Seeing her cooperative attitude and glancing at her attire, the patrol team member didn’t give her a hard time. "We’ll verify that. Also, a group of strange people, possibly terrorists, have snuck onto the ship recently. If you see anyone acting bizarrely, please notify us immediately."

"Okay, I understand. Thank you for the warning," Perry said with a smile.

"You’re welcome. By the way, are you alone in your room?" the patrol member asked.

"I’m staying by myself, but my friends might occasionally come to visit."

Perry felt something was off about their question, so she didn’t give a definitive answer.

And when the patrol member heard Perry’s words, a flash of understanding crossed his eyes.

Perry caught that flicker of emotion and immediately became guarded.

’What’s going on? Someone entered my room while I was out.’

"In that case, we’ll be going. We still have other areas to check." Just as the patrol members were about to turn and leave, one of them suddenly added, "Oh, right. The cargo on the aft deck is extremely important. That area is strictly off-limits to guests, so please be careful."

"Okay, I understand."

Watching the patrol team walk away, Perry thought to herself, ’If you hadn’t said anything, I wouldn’t have even known there was something on the aft deck.’

’No, wait. I think I do know.’

Back then, she had her Spiritual Body investigate one of the crates and found it just contained daily supplies and clothes, so she hadn’t paid it any mind.

’What’s so important about daily supplies and clothes? Or did I miss something?’

With this in mind, Perry’s curiosity was piqued once more. However, she couldn’t go herself.

’Since the patrol team just said that, the number of people guarding the cargo will definitely increase starting today.’

’I’d better send my Spiritual Body to scout the way.’

With that thought, Perry returned to her room.

Standing at the entrance, Perry sensed the unfamiliar presences inside her room. Not one, but two.

She took a deep breath and opened the door with her key card.

Pushing the door open, she was met with a shocking sight. The room was a mess, with clear signs of a fight. The quilt and pillows had been torn in half, sending feathers flying everywhere. Tables and cabinets were askew. The most pitiful sight was Perry’s suitcase, which had been kicked open by someone, its contents scattered all over the floor.

Seeing the scene, Perry turned her gaze to the culprits behind it all: two women.

The two were still facing off. The woman on the left had sleek, short black hair and wore predominantly black clothing, giving her the sharp look of an unsheathed sword.

The one confronting her had dazzling, wavy golden hair, fiery red lips, and even her clothes were red. Her entire being was as flamboyant as her aura.
