"Come and eat." He said as he brought two glasses of warm milk last to the table.

"Wasn’t I convincing your grandson-in-law to come home with me?"

Ye Xuan was surprised to be pulled into their banter and at first didn’t know what to say, but after grandpa Chu looked at him, he suddenly blurted out.

"That’s true grandpa. I wanted to talk to all of you about my marriage with Miaoer."

Okay, he hadn’t planned to be so blunt, but now he couldn’t take it back.

Even Chu Miao was surprised. Ye Xuan hadn’t said anything to her. Was her remark the catalyst to forcing him to bring up marriage?

She did want to marry him, but it had to be voluntary. She didn’t want to impose marriage on him.

As if Ye Xuan could tell what she was thinking, he added, "The reason I came today is to discuss our marriage with the rest of the family. Sorry I didn’t tell you in advance, I was worried you would say no."

"We will follow grandpa’s arrangements." Both Chu Miao and Ye Xuan said in unison.

They both weren’t familiar with the ceremony requirements, so leaving everything to the elders was the right thing to do.

"What about the wedding?" She asked.
