Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 644: A Grander Scheme? It seemed that the people in the sect have been living so comfortably nowadays that their sense of urgency has decreased.
How could they not think of this?
This revelation shocked everyone in that room. They had indeed been too complacent.
Seeing how the people of City A won the battle, they felt that they were strong. They forgot that the enemy was cunning.
An intelligent zombie that knew how to strategize.
"So, this attack was just an appetizer. It will launch another larger attack. Right?" Grandpa Li finally spoke.
He had been quiet all this time. Listening to the arguments in the room.
"Indeed. However, we don’t know when that will be. So, we can only prepare. If we are caught off-guard, things will be bad. Moreover, I suspect that we are not the only city the zombies will attack. So, we have to find a way to convince other bases in the country to move to City A. I guess that with everything humans have faced, the billions of citizens in our country have dwindled to less than ten million. City A had a capacity of over fifty million people even before the apocalypse. So, it won’t be crowded. With everyone together, we can defend our country better. Once we resolve the issue of zombies, we can reclaim our land outward with City A as the center." Chu Miao expressed her suggestion.
Even though she knew that it won’t be easy to convince everyone to relocate to City A because some don’t want to lose their current power, they have to try.
For those who agreed to the move, they will provide assistance with transportation.
Those who clinged to power, they would inform the citizens about City A and those willing to leave will be evacuated forcefully.
After all, the state machine was still operational. Though with problems and mostly within City C and City A, it was still working.
Thus, evacuating citizens wouldn’t be a problem.
"But what if the zombie king attacks City A after we have brought all the citizens here? Won’t that play to its scheme?" Another leader asked in confusion.
If the zombie king was as cunning as Chu Miao said, the. Maybe it’s scheme was for them to panic and collect everyone together.
This way, it could eliminate them more easily.
"I have thought of that as well, but you don’t have to worry. We will find a way to deal with it." Chu Miao reassured seriously.
Of course, some people were still skeptical, but seeing how calm the Chu family and some of the earliest members of the sect were, the newer members realized that there might be things they didn’t know.
So, they stopped talking.
"Alright, let’s go and prepare for the funeral of our fallen members. They have to be sent off respectfully for their sacrifice." Grandpa Chu urged and most of the people left.
Once the others had left, only the Chu family, the Li family, Ye Xuan and his close brothers, and Yang Leo were left behind.
"Little Bunny, is there something you haven’t said?" Chu Mo asked curiously.
He knew his daughter well. There must be more to this scheme by the zombie she had uncovered. Otherwise, she wouldn’t look so serious.
"Indeed. Don’t you think that something was very wrong with this battle?" Chu Miao suddenly looked up at her grandfather and asked.
"Eh! Bunny, didn’t you already elaborate what seemed wrong?" Chu Hao asked before his grandfather could speak.
Didn’t his sister already tell everyone the zombie king’s scheme?
Could there be a grander scheme?
Everyone asked themselves this question when they saw how serious Chu Miao looked.
"What are your thoughts?" Even Ye Xuan didn’t understand this time.
"Why do you think the zombie king sent those level six, seven, and eight zombies to sneak into the city knowing fully well that they wouldn’t succeed?" Chu Miao asked.
Everyone in the room was dumbfounded.
"The zombie king knew they wouldn’t succeed? That was a thousand zombies with power levels higher than anyone in the city? How could the zombie king know they wouldn’t succeed?" Chu Hao jumped again and asked in shock.
The others also wondered about the same thing but they thought deeper before speaking.
It seemed that they agreed with Chu Miao.
"No matter how much I think, I can fathom the intention of the zombie king. Was it really not to prove our strength?" Grandpa Lu asked thoughtfully.
"That might be one of the reasons, but that should be the reason on the surface. The one the zombie king thought we would think of." Chu Miao replied casually.
She knew that her grandfather and the others were just stuck on the rut because they had stereotyped zombies.
They thought that zombies were mindless creatures with limited intelligence. But once they expand their thinking and realize that zombies could be even more intelligent than humans, they would realize what she meant.
So, she decided not to spell everything out immediately.
Sure enough, after being silent for a couple of minutes, Ye Xuan turned sharply to look at her with a surprised look on his face, and she knew he had figured it out.
Chu Miao nodded slightly but said nothing. She wanted the others to discover everything themselves.
She would be taking them to the Immortal Realm where battles took place day and night and someone might lose their lives any moment.
If they were unable to think outside the box, then they would have to stay in the Soul Ring all the time.
The others were quite for another five minutes with thoughtful looks. Others furrowed their brows so much that they could catch flies.
While others like Mother Chu just sat there quietly.
She knew she wouldn’t be able to figure it out no matter how much she stirred her brain, so, she stayed quiet.
Five minutes later, everyone looked up almost simultaneously.
Chu Miao knew that they had figured out what she meant.
