He was glad he had listened to this friend he met at the beginning of the apocalypse, Fei Jun.

Many times he had been tempted to turn dark like others in the apocalypse and Rob or do worse. Yet, Fei Jun had remained steadfast, saying that if they crossed a certain line, they would never turn back.

He was not a good person, but the other members of their team were young people and they listened to Fei Jun like his words were an emperor’s edict.

Thus, he was eventually influenced and stopped thinking about taking advantage of others or situations.

They used their skills to scavenge for food and kill zombies for crystal cores.

Even though life was hard, they remained with a clear conscious.

Now, that integrity had paid off. Of course, he was happy.

After everyone had eaten, Ye Xuan finally explained what they had to do.

"I am on my way to City S, so you can’t follow me back. However, you can head to City A." Ye Xuan took out a wooden tag from his space ring and gave it to Uncle Jun.

"Show this at the entrance of the gate and say that I have sent you to work. You will be shown where to go and assigned work according to your abilities." Ye Xuan explained.

The others crowded around Uncle Jun to look at what he had been given that could allow access to City A, only to see a plain wooden tag.

There was not even a word on it. Won’t the people at the gate suspect that they had just picked up something from the roadside to hoodwink them?

Yet, they didn’t think Ye Xuan would perform such a joke.

Uncle Jun had complete trust in Ye Xuan because he knew that if he wanted to harm them, they would already be cold corpses by now.

"Thank you, we will set off immediately." Uncle Jun was eager to get to City A.

Now that they had food and their injuries treated, there was no need to remain there any longer.

"Rest today and set off tomorrow. Your injuries still need some time to improve. I will leave you a car. Use it to go to City A. How big is the space of the space user among you?" He suddenly asked.

Everyone looked at each other. They hadn’t exposed themselves, how did he find out?

Yet, the space user spoke. It was a girl in her twenties. She looked shyly at Ye Xuan as she spoke.

Even though she knew that he was someone she could never reach, it wasn’t a crime to admire him, as long as she understood her place.

"It’s not large. It has only advanced to the second level with twenty square meters."

"That should be enough if you don’t have many things inside. Some parts of the road are blocked and a car cannot pass. So, you will have to get down, store the car in your space before taking it out after passing the block." Ye Xuan explained.

"Oh, okay." The girl looked a little disappointed.

She hadn’t expected that he was asking about her space for this reason.

Ye Xuan didn’t seem to notice her changes and continued his instructions.

"Since you now work for me, I won’t treat you badly." As he spoke, he took out some vegetables and fruits from his space ring together with a ten-kilogram bag of rice.

They still had a large fish left from earlier.

"This food should be able to sustain you for a couple of days until you reach City A. Once there, you won’t have to worry about food. So, forget about the dog meat and burn them to prevent them from turning into zombies."

Listening to Ye Xuan and seeing the supplies he had just taken out, everyone’s eyes widened in shock. Even Uncle Jun wasn’t any different.

What kind of thick thigh did they hug?

Soon, laughter mixed with tears filled the small gas station.

"We finally made it. Our steadfastness has finally paid off." The young people were filled with laughter.

"Thank you Mr. Ye. We will give our best in our work." Uncle Jun suddenly stood up and bowed.

The others followed suit, but before they could all bow, they felt a gentle force pulling them up and forcing them to straighten.

"Stop blowing in every turn. I can’t accept this karma. I am just helping because I can and because of your character. So, just focus on getting better and head to City A tomorrow." Ye Xuan used his spiritual power to stop them from bowing.

Feeling the force that was gentle, yet they couldn’t resist gave them an idea of just how strong Ye Xuan was.

Ye Xuan took out a car key and gave it to Uncle Jun.

"I will leave the car down below. Fill it with gasoline when you leave." He also left a fifty liter container filled with gasoline.

As he spoke, he stood up.

"Mr. Ye, are you leaving already?" The girl with a space superpower asked with some disappointment.

The others seemed to see through her little thoughts and Uncle Jun looked at her with disapproval.

Ye Xuan, however, didn’t seem to notice anything wrong with the girl. After all, to him, the only woman he recognized with femininity was his wife.

Anyone else might just be a block of wood to him.

"Yes. My wife and I have things to do in City S and if I don’t get moving soon, she’ll probably have me struck by lightning a few more times than necessary." Ye Xuan replied with a doting smile on his face.

It was the first smile the team had seen since they met and from how sweet it looked, one could tell he loved his wife deeply.

The girl from earlier felt as if ice cold water had been poured on her head and cooked down her unruly thoughts.

"Then, have a safe trip." Uncle Jun thought it was better for him to leave before someone from his team did something that could take their newly acquired meal ticket.
