" You don’t have to worry, he’s not strong, he’s just protected by fate, he’s basically very very lucky.

’ So you’re saying I just embarrassed myself back there?’ Manas didn’t answer.
Ved turned towards the boy, " You said I saved you? When?" He immediately diverted attention away from his recent actions.
The boy looked excited, " It was a long time ago when I was trapped in that dream that killed many people.
Yuu rescued me and fought that big monster, I was still just a kid back then."
Ved suddenly remembered, ’ So it’s him, but how did he come across the coin of fate, or my crown?’
" I remember you now but where did you get that coin and crown?"
The boy looked at his coin then at the crown on his head. " Oh I found this outside of town when I was 18.
As for the crown, it fell on me someday and almost knocked me out." The boy sighed pitifully.
" Ever since I found this coin I’ve been extremely unlucky, I also can’t cultivate like others.
I’ve tried getting rid of it but it just comes back on its own." Tears started welling up in his eyes.
" I see, and how did you get here from earth, you shouldn’t have the power to do that."
" It’s this stupid bad luck, I tripped and fell off a cliff then found myself in a forest where I stayed for over a year running away from monsters.
Then some time ago I was being chased by a bear and fell down a crevice on the ground and found myself here."
Ved stood frozen, ’ What kind of shit luck does this guy have? Wait, from his account of the events.
He was teleported out of earth just before its destruction, then he was teleported here just as I was coming.
This guy doesn’t have bad luck at all, Manas was right, he has the luck of lady luck herself. Should I tell him about earth?’
He shook his head, ’ It’s better if I don’t, that would just hurt him.’
" Anyways, that crown you’re holding is mine, I would appreciate if you give it back to me."
" Alright." The boy answered instantly and threw the crown at Ved. Ved looked at him strangely.
" You’re just giving it to me, just like that?" This confused him.
The boy looked even more confused, he tilted his head. " Well it’s yours isn’t it? Why wouldn’t I give it to you?"
" I could be lying and trying to steal it from you and you just took my word from it?"
" Why would you lie, you’re so much stronger than me you can just take it if you want.
Besides, that thing is useless, it just looks fancy but it had no power whatsoever."
Ved couldn’t respond to that, he took his crown and placed it on his head. A heavy pressure shook the space around him.
An astral projection of the crown appeared above his head, it was even larger than his body.
" This thing isn’t useless boy, it just wasn’t meant for you." The projection disappeared and he took off the crown.
Ved had long created a spatial dimension using dragon magic where he placed the rainbow tree, he placed the crown there as well.
Then he grabbed the singularity and the boy and flew out, as soon as he got out he saw a bleeding Naledi.
Her sword was stained with blood and countless dead crickets floated in space, behind them was a larger cricket.
" Herald." He growled, " Stay here." He left the boy and went to assist Naledi. As soon as she saw him she retreated.
" Be careful, they can eat your laws, physical attacks are the only thing that works." She warned him.
He nodded, " I’ll take care of this, you take care of the boy."
Naledi looked back and saw the human, she raised her eyebrow then froze, " I remember that kid but what’s he doing here?"
" It’s a long story, I’ll explain later but for now." He swung his claw and a giant dragon claw appeared in the empty space.
It was larger than a star and descended upon the crickets like a falling planet but it merely covered a fraction of them.
" Foolish, I can eat your laws." The crickets lunged to devour the claw but as soon as they touched it they were crushed into blood mist.
With a single attack Ved took our trillions of them. The herald frozen unable to believe her eyes.
" What did you do, why can’t my children eat your law!"
Ved grinned but he didn’t answer, his martial intent covered his entire body. Space bent around him.
His body turned into a black streak that pierced through the swarm of crickets like a spear.
Blood covered the entire space around them, in a split second he was already in front of the herald.
Even though this herald was a creation realm, it was a swarm type fighter not a close combat fighter.
A black aura surrounded its body, this was the void itself with the power to erase even laws.
This power is what made void creatures so dangerous and usually stronger on the same rank and level.
Ved bit it, his teeth collided with the void aura and he felt them burning like they were submerged in acid.
He coated his teeth in martial dao which slowed down the speed of their corrosion.
" What...what is this? What are you doing why can’t I eat it!?" The herald was now panicking.
Even though it was an entire rank above him, its own combat power was severely lacking.
Even Ved was stronger than it, its swarm lunged at him, as soon as it got close he swung his tail.
It split space like a whip killing anything that got close to him, his wings covered his sides.
Ved had neutralised the only thing in this herald’s arsenal, it’s ability to consume laws and energy.
Martial dao was merely the manifestation of one’s martial art, the herald couldn’t consume martial arts.
His teeth broke through the void aura and sunk into its body. Before it could react he ripped it on half.
The swarm suddenly split apart and disappeared in every direction. Ved frowned, he could tell the herald was still alive.
Somewhere on a dead planet, one of the crickets suddenly transformed becoming the herald.
All of the crickets were technically its clones and it could use them to come back to life should the main body be destroyed.
