Gu Ming and Lu You boarded the university express line, departing from Wenquxing University’s North Gate Station Platform. The shuttle carried them across the city’s busy and congested airspace.

Before, Gu Ming had always traveled on foot, by ground vehicle, or by riding a Giant Flying Pet out of the city.

To be honest, he hadn’t experienced much of the city’s aerial traffic.

After talking with Lu You, he decided to take a Flying Shuttle to experience Zhou Capital’s aerospace vehicles.

In less than a minute, Gu Ming saw a sky full of Flying Shuttles and Flying Pets weaving through the air.

The city below was obscured by the numerous Flying Shuttles and Pet Beasts, resembling an ocean of machinery and beasts.

Looking up, it was the same: a dense swarm of airborne craft, buzzing as if they were at the heart of a beehive.

Along the way, many mobile vendor carts hawked Pet Beast training potions, but their prices were outrageous—several times more expensive than online shops.

The Pet Beasts, experiencing such a bustling aerial traffic jam, weren’t the least bit bothered by the constant stopping and starting, despite the delay.

The same was true for Gu Ming and Lu You. After deciding to take the inexpensive university express line, their attention was captured by the various types of Mechanical and Flying Pets zipping past them.

The scenery outside the Flying Shuttle’s window began to change dramatically.

First, the density of airborne objects suddenly dropped by several Quantity Levels, and the view became wide open.

Gazing into the distance, what came into view was a range of rolling "mountains" on the horizon, shimmering with a cold, metallic light.

That was the ground campus of Divine Strategy University. It was protected by external defenses and an energy matrix, composed of countless towering composite alloy towers, giant Spiritual Energy Conduits woven into a web, and special arrayed megastructures that rotated slowly, absorbing ambient energy from the air.

From the architectural style alone, it was the pinnacle of mechanical industrial aesthetics—sharply angled, with cold, hard lines, reflecting silver-gray and deep blue hues in the sunlight.

It was as if a futuristic war fortress had risen from the ground, a stark contrast to the architectural style of Wenquxing University.

As they drew closer, a faint, low-frequency vibration and the hum of flowing energy could be felt in the air—the background noise of countless precision instruments operating in concert.

The shuttle docked at the designated external spaceport of Celestial Secret University.

Stepping out of the cabin, the unique atmosphere of a mechanical holy land became even more apparent.

The air was dry, carrying the faint scent of ozone and lubricants.

Looking up, enormous maglev cargo containers could be seen gliding silently along invisible tracks high in the sky.

At the entrance, they presented Teacher Tang’s letter of introduction and their identification credentials.

A heavy alloy gate slid open silently. Unexpectedly, it did not lead to a path into the campus, but to a spacious, circular hall bathed in soft white light.

Gu Ming immediately realized that the spaceport had a built-in Teleportation Array, which had transported him and Lu You to the reception area.

’If we had walked in through the main ground-level entrance, we probably would have been able to see the layout inside.’

"Please stand still. Verifying access information..." a gentle electronic voice prompted.

"Access granted. Welcome, Mr. Gu Ming and Ms. Lu You, and all of your Pet Beasts."

A slight vibration came from the floor beneath their feet, and the surrounding white light grew denser.

Gu Ming felt a brief moment of weightlessness and a blurred sense of direction, as if he had instantly passed through an invisible film of water.

A few seconds later, the white light dissipated.

The scene before them opened up dramatically, a completely different world from the cold, industrial forest they had seen outside the gate.

They were standing on an extremely high observation deck.

Below them was a vast, surreal landscape that stretched almost to the horizon.

The sky was a soft, milky white, evenly illuminating the orderly yet vibrant campus below.

The architecture here was no longer in the heavy, fortified style seen outside, but had become extremely diverse.

There were information towers that soared into the clouds, their surfaces flowing with streams of data-light.

There were also spherical laboratories like giant, precision instruments, slowly rotating and extending countless mechanical arms.

And there were strange park areas that mimicked natural ecosystems but were constructed from metal and bioluminescent plants.

But what was most dazzling was the sheer number of mechanical and magnetic-type pet beasts that filled every corner of this world, along with the environments they depended on.

In the sky, there were flying vehicles and Mechanical Flying Pets of all different shapes and forms.

Things like streamlined Steel-Winged Falcons, multi-rotor Reconnaissance Queen Bees, and elegant, hovering disc-shaped vehicles.

Their appearance was far superior to the various Mechanical Pet Beasts used for air transport. Just looking at their forms, one could sense an aesthetic that came from Evolution—a beauty so captivating you couldn’t help but stare.

On the ground, all sorts of tracked, multi-legged, and hovering mechanical creations—whether vehicles or work units—bustled about their tasks.

Many of the roads themselves were moving conveyor belts or localized anti-gravity zones.

The pedestrians were mostly students or researchers in Divine Strategy University uniforms, either walking or riding small personal transport devices, coexisting harmoniously with the Mechanical Pet Beasts.

The application of magnetic technology was ubiquitous.

Huge metal components were lifted and moved by invisible force fields, and complex instrument parts were assembled without contact under magnetic manipulation.

In some areas, small Mechanical Pet Beasts even used the controllable magnetic field lines in the environment to move at high speeds or perform acrobatics, tracing beautiful arcs of light.

"This place is huge," Lu You murmured in awe.

The Star Spirit on her shoulder flickered faintly. As a newborn, it simply couldn’t comprehend this purely mechanical form of life; for it, this was a completely novel experience.

The other Pet Beasts also had varied reactions.

Cyan Treasure raised its head, its forked tongue flicking in and out rapidly with intense curiosity. It couldn’t resist the urge to find a Mechanical Pet to fight, to see if its Purification of Heretics Holy Dragon Poison could corrode a metal pet beast.

The Sunflower Seed-eating Hamster gripped Lu You’s collar tightly, its little nose twitching, as if trying to catch the high-tech scent that the soil itself seemed to exude.

Ah Kun materialized in the Water Ball beside Gu Ming, its giant eyes wide as it scanned the massive energy installations below.

Back at the community shop or at Gu Ming’s house, it had watched many video programs about Mechanical Pets and magnetic technology on TV and on phones.

Watching on a screen and seeing it in real life were two completely different experiences.

Now, it too was completely captivated by this other kind of ecosystem before its eyes, its imagination running wild.

Ah Ji opened its eyes within Gu Ming’s shadow, its tail swaying gently. Its heterochromatic eyes locked onto several exquisitely designed little mechanical butterflies performing a synchronized dance in the air.

Even Mianmian, the Tri-color Pupa sleeping in its cocoon, stirred.

A tri-colored radiance flowed around its body, seemingly drawn out by the active Energy Field in the surroundings. It was unclear what kind of high-tech Array was built into this campus.

Following the navigational guide, Gu Ming took Lu You onto a transparent, high-speed sightseeing elevator, descending toward the area marked on the map as the "Acoustic Analysis Laboratory."

The sights along the way were like a journey through a technology expo, leaving them breathless with wonder.
