"June En."

That wasn’t his name, but everyone kept staring at him as soon as the name was called in the grand hall.

Silence, low mutters, and inaudible words filled the hall as he looked around, confused. He had just opened his eyes a second ago, only to meet these hostile eyes staring in his direction as though he had done something wrong.

"June En."

A man’s voice called again as the murmurs grew louder, and the eyes stared at him more—now pissed. He didn’t understand why they were staring at him, because that clearly wasn’t his name. But as he looked up ahead at the man standing on the stage, their eyes met.

This silver-haired man wasn’t giving him a pleasant stare as he said, "June En, come here."

But that wasn’t his name?!

He was forced to stand up anyway, his eyes scanning his environment. He was in a grand-looking hall—one that belonged to some elite academy or something, judging from the different colored flags hung at the corners of the wall. All looking like war flags or something.

Statues and pictures of old, great-looking figures were mounted on these walls, but these weren’t the most striking thing about his dream. It was the fact that everyone here was in uniforms... strangely familiar uniforms.

Academy uniforms of green. And the hall was filled with these strange-looking elite students sitting down and staring up at him as he slowly walked down the stairs to the stage ahead.

He let his eyes scan them. Scan the contempt in their eyes, the disgust. He could even feel some rolling their eyes and some muttering curses at him.

"Shameless. Was he sleeping or what?"

"All these privileged brats. They don’t take anything seriously."

"He probably doesn’t cares about anything. What a pain in the ass."

The hate was literally radiating from their glares, which had him confused. What the fuck did he do?!

And where the fuck was this?!

As soon as he mounted the stage, he also realized that he was in uniform. The same color and style—green. He figured he would look silly in these for a man in his 30s.

Quite a tacky dream, he thought, as he stood before the silver-haired man—an almost emotionless-looking man with silver beards and glasses. He could easily pass off as his boss at work—an arch enemy.

The man said nothing. He cleared his throat as he presented a golden tray before him and said, "Pick a card."

He stared down at the card for a while, confused. Why was he picking a card now? What the hell was this dream even about?!

But who the fuck cares. Dreams are not supposed to make sense anyway. He shrugged as he casually picked a card and opened it.

[67]

He blinked at the card without knowing what he was supposed to do now. But a lady in a plain black suit and boring glasses walked up to him, took the card, and stared at him.

She adjusted her glasses and cleared her throat as she stared at the audience. "Sixty-seven. Who has the same card number?"

Silence fell across the hall as everyone stared at each other, murmuring to themselves. He was sure no one wanted to be the victim of having the same cards as him. Something told him it was pure nightmare to be the unlucky one.

But shortly, someone raised their hand and even stood up.

And as he stared at this young man who stood up, he wondered why this dream was getting a little bit too familiar, because he could swear he could recognize that damn face...

"Congratulations, Young Master Nyx Faux. You’re paired with Young Master June En in the upcoming final examination."

Loud murmurs brushed through the hall as the announcement was made—some smiling, some laughing while gossiping amongst themselves.

"You can go and take your seat, Young Master June. Let’s continue with the next pair... Mr. Gray..."

They continued as he slowly walked down the stage, ignoring the eyes, chatters, and murmurs that were meant for him. But he had his eyes fixed on this Nyx Faux—the tall blonde who was standing in the backseat, also staring at him.

This blonde was familiar. Extremely familiar. He was sure of it. Apart from being tall, handsome, and young in glasses, he was also familiar, and he couldn’t explain from where.

But as soon as he arrived at his seat and sat down, it hit him.

"The comic..." He paused, searching his brain, only to find the results of his thoughts almost impossible to believe.

That blonde looked like a character from a comic he knew. A comic that was currently under his company. One that was making waves. The current comic he hated to the core. The same comic that had deprived him of anything called sleep.

This blonde reminded him of that. But it was impossible to conclude that he was the one. Right?

He instantly looked up at the academy logo standing on the stage’s wall—green in a golden font: Arcadia Academy.

He paused, eyes on the wall. That was the same name of the fucking academy in the damn comic. And this hall... he looked around, almost in panic that the girl sitting beside him flinched.

The hall was exactly the same as the one drawn in the comic!

"June..." He repeated the name which he was previously called, as everything began falling into place.

The setting... the hall, uniform, the cards, the pairing, the upcoming examination, the cute Blondie—everything was exactly the same thing straight from the manhua, and he hated where his mind was heading to at this instant.

"This is a dream, right...?" He told himself when his worst nightmare flashed before his eyes.

A blue screen appeared right in front of him. And the words appeared clearly:
