[BL] Oops! Guiding The F Class Villain Esper Gone Wrong!
Chapter 49: LET’S SKIP ITChapter 49: 49: LET’S SKIP IT
June stood with his phone in hand. Strangely enough, Nyx was holding his phone too.
June’s phone wouldn’t stop buzzing. Every time he looked down at the screen, Nyx had sent him another friend request on social media.
And every single time, June immediately tapped REJECT.
He would reject the request, look up, and find Nyx calmly staring at his own phone before sending another one almost instantly. June rejected it again.
The two stood several meters apart, eyes occasionally meeting while their fingers relentlessly worked their screens.

Ryan, who stood beside June, kept glancing between the two of them with growing concern.
"Are you okay...?" Ryan asked.
"No..." June shook his head, eyes fixed on his phone. "I can’t lose to him."

The battle continued, their fingers flying across their screens like people desperately trying to buy Taylor Swift concert tickets the moment sales opened.
Then, almost simultaneously, both phones vibrated.
[SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES DETECTED.]
Both of their accounts had been temporarily restricted.
June stared at the notification in disbelief before slowly covering his mouth with one hand. He looked up and found Nyx equally surprised.
"This jerk..." June muttered through gritted teeth. "I was so close to hitting a million followers..."
As if things couldn’t get any worse, one of the combat instructors happened to walk past and caught June with his phone.
"No phones during practice," the instructor said, taking the device from his hands. "You can collect it after school with a written apology."
June almost collapsed to his knees. Imaginary tears streamed down his face as he slowly turned toward Nyx, who blinked back at him with the most innocent expression imaginable.
"You..."
June nearly exploded before Ryan quickly grabbed his arm to calm him down.
---
Practice finally ended, and June hurried away before Nyx could catch up to him.
He was walking toward the academy building when something white caught his eye. A fluffy white cat sat quietly beside the pathway, gracefully licking its paw while letting out a soft purr.
Ordinarily, it would have been an adorable sight. To June, however, it looked like pure nightmare fuel.
The moment he saw the cat, vivid memories of the anomaly dungeon flooded back into his mind. His face instantly paled as he stumbled backward, grabbed a nearby stick, and pointed it at the unsuspecting animal.
"Stay back... I know what you are! I won’t hesitate to strike before you turn into that gigantic monster again!"
The cat simply stared at him with round, confused eyes and tilted its head.
June, meanwhile, continued backing away with all the caution of someone facing a deadly predator. Before either of them could make another move, Nyx quietly walked over, bent down, and scooped the cat into his arms.
He gently stroked its head before turning toward June. "Don’t worry," he said calmly. "It’s not a dungeon cat. It’s just a normal cat."
June refused to lower the stick. "Keep that thing away from me."
The dungeon had left him with a genuine fear of cats.
Nyx nodded without arguing. He placed the cat back on the ground, and it happily trotted away. Once it disappeared, Nyx looked back at June and stepped closer.
"So..." he said after a brief pause. "I saved you from the cat."
June blinked. "...Thanks?"
Nyx looked hopeful. "Will you pair with me?"
"No."
---
Night study session ended just as heavy rain began pouring outside.
June stood beneath the shelter outside the classroom building, watching the rain blanket the academy grounds.
"Oh, great..." he sighed. "I should’ve brought an umbrella."
He stared at the downpour for a few seconds before shrugging. "I guess I don’t have a choice."
Taking a deep breath, he stepped into the rain.
Except... he didn’t get wet.
Confused, June slowly looked up. An umbrella was hovering above him.
Nyx stood right behind him, quietly holding the umbrella over both of them.
For a moment, neither of them spoke. Only the rhythmic sound of rain striking the umbrella filled the silence.
June found himself staring at Nyx. The tall figure standing behind him with an umbrella looked absurdly romantic. Against the backdrop of the rain, the entire moment felt like something straight out of a romance drama.
His heart skipped a beat before he could stop it.
"You..."
Nyx looked down at him. "You’ll catch a cold."
June felt his heart explode. That single sentence somehow landed harder than any dramatic confession. He could practically hear romantic background music playing in his head.
"T-Thank you..." he replied, suddenly feeling oddly shy as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind his ear.
Nyx nodded. "So... can we be partners now?"
June’s smile instantly disappeared. In his mind, he could almost hear a pane of imaginary glass shattering into a thousand pieces.
The romantic atmosphere died on the spot.
June slowly frowned. "Never mind."
He turned around and deliberately walked straight into the rain.
"Hey... you’ll get soaked," Nyx called, immediately chasing after him with the umbrella.
---
The next morning, June lay sprawled across his desk before class had even properly begun. His chin rested on the tabletop as he stared blankly into space.
Ryan took the seat in front of him. "What’s wrong now? We’ve only had one class today and you’re already exhausted."
"That big bad villain has been torturing me for days," June groaned. "How am I supposed to live in peace? Did I offend the heavens in my previous life? Is this punishment for reading too much yaoi smut during work hours?"
Ryan chuckled. "Hang in there, buddy."
He patted June on the head before adding, "Or... you could just accept his offer. Honestly, he doesn’t seem like a bad guy. I actually think he’s pretty cute."
"Then please take him!" June grabbed Ryan’s hands dramatically. "Pair up with him instead."
Ryan laughed. "I’d love to help, but I already have a partner."
June stared at him in betrayal. "Traitor."
Ryan only laughed harder. "Before you keep mourning your tragic fate," he said, pulling up the academy forum on his phone, "you should probably find a partner quickly."
June lazily glanced at the announcement. Then his eyes widened.
"It says that anyone who fails to secure a partner before the evaluation will be assigned to clean every toilet in the academy for an entire month."
June gasped. "How brutal... No, that absolutely cannot become my fate. That’s even worse than—"
Before he could finish, someone stepped into the classroom.
The girls immediately began whispering among themselves.
June slowly turned toward the doorway.
Nyx stood there.
June’s eye twitched. "...What now?"
Nyx walked straight over, reached for June’s hand, and held it. "Let’s go out."
June blinked. "Huh?"
"On a date."
June stared at him in disbelief. "But... I have class."
"I know," Nyx replied with complete seriousness. "Let’s skip it."
