[BL] Oops! Guiding The F Class Villain Esper Gone Wrong!
Chapter 62: GUIDES’ WAY OUT.Chapter 62: 62: GUIDES’ WAY OUT.
June, Ryan, and Finn stood there watching the scene unfold before them, stunned. None of them knew how they were supposed to feel at that moment. They could only stand by and watch as Simon and Nyx fought, and the inability to do anything to help only made the situation worse.
"Why are they all pursuing Nyx now?" June blinked at the sight before him, his expression filled with worry. "What’s wrong with those monsters? They should be staying away from him..."
Ryan turned toward Mr. Ken after noticing the situation. "Mr. Ken..." he called out.
The others immediately followed his gaze and saw Mr. Ken kneeling on the ground.
His eyes were tightly closed as he struggled to stabilize the energies of the two Espers fighting against the monsters. However, the burden was rapidly draining his own energy. His face had already turned pale, and blood was slowly dripping from the corner of his lips.
"Are you okay?" Ryan asked as he and the other two guides quickly moved beside him and knelt down. "You should stop... You look pale. You might collapse at any moment."
Mr. Ken didn’t open his eyes. He continued forcing himself to maintain the connection as he struggled to breathe.
"I can’t right now..." he muttered. "Simon is using more energy than he should, and the dungeon is feeding on that energy. He’s getting weaker... and more unstable. If he continues..."
His voice faded as he coughed, blood spilling from his mouth.
Ryan immediately panicked. He looked at June, his expression becoming more serious.
"This is bad... We don’t even have any strong support left. How are we supposed to get out of this dungeon alive?"
June was equally worried. He knelt there, desperately searching through his thoughts for anything useful. He had edited this work for a long time, so he hoped there was at least some knowledge buried somewhere in his memory that could help them survive this situation.
At that moment, June regretted only having surface-level knowledge about dungeons.
Although he had been an editor for the work, dungeon mechanics and heavy action scenes were never his specialty. His focus had always been on the overall storyline, character development, and the larger structure of the novel.
He had a team that handled the deeper research into dungeon settings and combat scenes. They would provide him with their findings, and he would review and approve the changes they made.
Now, he hated that he had never taken the time to properly study those aspects himself. The knowledge he had was incomplete and unreliable.
Finn suddenly turned around, and Ryan soon followed his gaze.
"They’re in danger," Ryan said.
June turned around and looked at the scene ahead.
Simon and Nyx were now standing on the ground with their backs pressed against each other, surrounded by monsters.
Several creatures slowly circled around them, their low growls echoing through the cold air as they glared at them with vicious intent. They were trapped, and everyone could see it clearly.
Simon was already too exhausted to continue carrying the fight, and Nyx had no chance of handling the monsters alone.
"This is bad..." Finn muttered under his breath. "I should do something. I should try guiding them. Maybe I can manage it."
"We’re F-ranks. We can’t do that," Ryan immediately stopped him.
Finn went silent.
"Even Mr. Ken, who is an A-rank, is struggling to handle it. You’ll just be throwing your life away if you try," Ryan explained.
"Then what do we do?" Finn asked, staring at him.
Ryan slowly pushed himself to his feet.
"Hand me your dagger."
Finn hesitated as he also stood up. "My dagger...?"
"Yes. Give it to me."
After a moment of hesitation, Finn handed it over.
Ryan now held two daggers, one belonging to him and one belonging to Finn.
June stared at him in confusion. "And what exactly are you planning to do now?"
"Math."
"..."
June blinked.
"Huh? Math? Right now?"
Ryan nodded seriously. "Yes."
Holding the daggers firmly, he stared toward the monsters surrounding Simon and Nyx.
June couldn’t understand what he was doing. However, he watched as Ryan focused completely on the battlefield ahead. His expression became firm as he stretched out both hands toward the scene.
Then he began muttering.
Mathematical formulas, calculations, and theories flowed from his mouth.
"Twelve meters... thirty-two degrees... cosine... displacement seven-point-four. First impact at twenty-nine degrees, rebound sixty-one. Second target moving left... adjust by five... no, six degrees. Distance eight-point-three. Velocity constant... intersection in two-point-seven seconds. Third, fourth, fifth... chain reaction possible. Calculate reflection... forty-three... forty-three point six..."
June could hear him calculating angles, distances, trajectories, and equations while keeping his eyes fixed on the battlefield.
It was strange, but Ryan looked completely focused.
And the moment he finished the final calculation, he smiled "Probability of successful contact... ninety-eight percent." he swung both daggers forward.
June and Finn watched as the weapons flew through the cold air.
One dagger struck a monster’s wing while the other slammed into another creature’s head. But the attack didn’t stop there.
Like a boomerang, the two daggers continued moving through the battlefield, bouncing from one monster to another. They struck their wings, heads, and bodies with precise accuracy, hitting every creature without actually cutting deep enough to injure them.
The monsters didn’t bleed, but the repeated attacks immediately caught their attention.
They let out loud shrieks of irritation, twisting their heads around as they searched for the attacker.
"Whoa..." June blinked. "That’s actually really good math."
Ryan adjusted his glasses with a small smile. "Thanks. I practice..."
However, before he could enjoy the praise, the monsters had already turned their attention toward them.
Every creature now stared in their direction, their furious gazes locked onto the three guides while Simon and Nyx used the opportunity to stagger away and escape their range.
"Oh... I don’t think the monsters are happy," June pointed out.
"I can tell," Ryan replied. "I did make them really angry."
At that moment, the air suddenly became much colder.
The temperature blended perfectly with the frozen environment, and the three of them felt the cold slowly seep into their bodies. Their fingers stiffened, and their teeth began chattering as the freezing air surrounded them.
June, Ryan, and Finn hugged themselves, trying to preserve whatever warmth they had left.
"At least the temperature matches the weather, I guess..." Ryan said weakly as they slowly stepped backward.
The monsters began advancing toward them.
Their attention was completely focused on the three F-rank guides standing before them.
Then, without warning, they launched forward.
Some creatures leapt across the snow while others took to the air, rushing toward them with terrifying speed. Their furious expressions and bloodthirsty intent made it clear they were no longer holding back.
The three guides stood frozen in place.
Their minds went blank.
They couldn’t think of any possible way to defend themselves.
The only thought that crossed their minds was to run.
But how long could they possibly escape from creatures like this?
At that moment, June instinctively searched himself for something. Anything.
Anything that could help.
But the only thing his hand touched was the phone in his pocket.
