[BL] Oops! Guiding The F Class Villain Esper Gone Wrong!
Chapter 83: GRAND WELCOME PARTY.Chapter 83: 83: GRAND WELCOME PARTY.
The night of the Grand Welcoming Party for the new intakes of the academy had finally arrived, and the grand hall had been elegantly decorated in luxury.
Lights lined the exterior of the hall, illuminating the entrance, while the inside was just as magnificent. Chandeliers hung from above, complementing the warm lighting of the room. Tables were elegantly arranged around the hall, covered with drinks and extravagant delicacies.
Soft music drifted through the room as students stood in pairs and groups, talking and laughing while drinking and enjoying the classy atmosphere.
June and Ryan stepped into the hall, immediately drawing eyes in their direction as whispers began filling the room.
People were obviously staring and talking about them, particularly June, but neither seemed to care. They majestically stepped into the scene, walking as though they were on a runway while flaunting the clothes they’d gotten from shopping.
They wore matching golden, prince-like suits with extravagant decorations that practically screamed for attention. A golden earring hung from June’s ear, reaching down toward his shoulder and highlighting his elegant appearance. Meanwhile, Ryan had taken off his glasses.
June had suggested the change, and Ryan had actually gone along with it.
And he looked great without them. Different and pretty.
The two rich friends strutted into the party like they owned the runway, completely ignoring the eyes and whispers as they made their way toward a nearby table.
---
Ryan adjusted the collar of his clothes before tugging at the necklace around his neck.
"Are you sure I can’t take this off? It’s a bit stiff around my neck."
"No. Never." June’s eyes continued scanning the room. "It looks gorgeous on you, so leave it."
"But..."
June turned toward him and grabbed his hand.
"Dear friend, beauty is pain, so let’s keep it together."
Ryan blinked before nodding. "Mmm."
The event began with the principal delivering a long welcome speech to the new intakes—the first-year students of the academy. His speech covered the academy’s long history, achievements, and prestigious standing.
While he went on and on, everyone stood there listening.
June was already bored enough to yawn as he reached for one of the desserts.
Ryan immediately slapped his hand away.
"Hey, keep it together."
The principal eventually welcomed several important administrators to speak. A few professors and the Dean delivered their own speeches as well, with everything finally concluding in a toast to the new intakes and their official welcome into the academy.
Cheers erupted throughout the hall.
The academy’s anthem soon followed, performed by an orchestra group. Everyone stood respectfully as the music played.
June barely seemed to care.
His eyes continued scanning the hall, searching for Nyx, whom he’d come here specifically to meet.
He was still nowhere to be seen.
June couldn’t help worrying that he wouldn’t come.
Finally, the long speeches from the academy’s authorities came to an end, and they excused themselves. The adults wouldn’t be spending the rest of the night with the students at their own party. They had handled the formal introductions and left the students to enjoy themselves.
As soon as they were gone, the music resumed, filling the hall with a calm, soothing atmosphere.
Students began filing throughout the hall, with both juniors and seniors standing around and chatting amongst themselves.
It was truly a grand party.
Some juniors gathered around the seniors, asking questions about the academy, its rules, and how to survive there. Others simply talked about casual things while enjoying their drinks and food.
June stood there, sipping his drink while continuing to search for Nyx.
Ryan, on the other hand, had his eyes wandering across the room.
"Unlike the mid guys from our year, I think I’ve seen some hot seniors around." Ryan nudged June. "Like over there. Don’t you think the seniors who came for this event are steaming hot?"
Ryan stared toward a group of boys standing at a distance, talking elegantly and displaying their class through their demeanor.
June rolled his eyes.
"Ever since these seniors returned, I think my troubles in this damn academy have only increased." He sighed.
Ryan shook his head with a smile, continuing to let his eyes wander over the eye candy.
June simply leaned against the table, taking another sip of wine as the party continued around them.
Before long, one of the boys Ryan had been staring at left his group and approached June.
The young man smiled as he stopped beside him, holding out a glass of wine.
"..."
June and Ryan stared at him, confused about what he was doing.
"Would you mind...?" The young man offered him the glass.
June stared at the wine in his hand before looking back at him.
"Sorry, I’m allergic to drinks."
"..."
The young man glanced at June’s hand, which was already holding the wine he’d been drinking moments earlier.
June followed his gaze down to his own hand before smiling at the young man.
"From now on, I am."
The young man smiled and nodded.
"Well, that’s okay. I’m Kam. A second-year student at the academy."
June nodded with a smile.
"Oh, that’s great. I’m certain I don’t need to introduce myself, do I?"
He was sure Kam had approached him because he already knew exactly who he was.
"No need." Kam smiled. "Well, here’s the thing. I was wondering if you were free this weekend. I’d like to go on a date with you. I’m pretty interested in you."
"..."
June and Ryan were both speechless.
Well, that was fast.
And extremely direct.
They stared at each other before looking back at Kam.
"Eh..." June thought for a moment. "That’s pretty direct. Too bad I can’t go out."
June was pretty sure he knew what Kam’s intentions were.
While some people hated the guts of this F-Rank, others were curious about his strange abilities and wanted to find a way to make use of them, testing those abilities to their own advantage.
"Why?" Kam asked with a smile. "I mean... I’m really interested in getting to know you. Why are you casually turning me down?"
June smiled, taking another sip of his wine right in front of him before looking him straight in the eyes.
"I already have a boyfriend. Is that enough of a reason?"
