The group had officially expanded. The omegas had created a tiny emblem.

It was a moonflower surrounded by two little hearts.

"You made merchandise?"I stared at it in horror.

"We are calling ourselves the Moonflower courtship society."Mei Lin proudly nodded.

"I hate everything."I groaned.

"I don’t."From behind me came a quiet voice.

I turned as Lang Li stood there.

"You approve?"I blinked.

"Yes."He looked at the emblem.

"Error?"I frowned.

"Finally, something I agree with."I stared.

My smile disappeared. A sudden image flashed through my mind, a little boy sitting beneath a flowering tree. The same dark wooden flute rested against his lips. Someone was sitting beside him, but their face remained blurred. Then I heard a familiar voice.

"One day, you will play this for someone important."A voice said gently.

The image vanished.

"What..."I stood completely still.

"Wei?"Lang Li noticed immediately.

I looked down at my hands. For some reason, my fingers were positioned exactly as if I were holding the flute.

"Memory connection strengthened."And the system quietly whispered.

I swallowed. Apparently, my mysterious childhood was not finished revealing itself, and judging by Huan’s expression from across the garden he might already know who that person was. The next morning, I was called to the guest wing. I expected another mystery. Instead, Lin Rui was standing beside a large wooden chest with Zhao Rui.

"Chef Wei." She said brightly. "We have something for you."

"It is only a gift."Zhao Rui laughed.

Lin Rui opened the chest. Inside was a beautifully folded outfit. I stared. It was nothing like the palace robes I usually wore. The fabric was light and elegant, decorated with deep red and gold embroidery. The sleeves were slightly wider, the collar was simple, and delicate moonflower patterns ran along the edges.

"It is traditional clothing from our empire." Lin Rui explained.

"For the upcoming festial." Zhao Rui added.

"It is beautiful."I carefully lifted it.

"We thought you should experience one of our festivals properly."Zhao Rui said.

"Thank you."I smiled.

That evening, I changed. The outfit fit perfectly. When I stepped into the courtyard, I immediately noticed people staring. Ana’s mouth fell open, Hin covered her smile, Mei Lin’s eyes widened.

"Oh."She gasped.

"What?"I asked.

"You look amazing."She said happily.

"It’s just clothing."I rubbed the back of my neck.

"No." Mei Lin said. "That is definitely not just clothing." You are going to be the most beautiful one there."

Lin Rui approached and adjusted the collar of my outfit.

"Perfect."She said.

"What is the festival for?"I looked down.

"You will find out tomorrow."She smiled mysteriously.

I frowned. That answer was never reassuring and somehow, I had a feeling tomorrow’s festival was going to be absolute chaos.

Sadly, by the time the festival began, I had already learned one important fact. I had been tricked.

"What do you mean this is a courtship festival?" I stared at Mei Lin.

"I mean exactly that."She smiled innocently.

I slowly turned toward Ana. She suddenly became very interested in fixing my sleeve.

"Hin?"I asked.

"I knew."She said.

"You both knew?!"I gasped.

"Of course."Ana laughed.

"Then why did nobody tell me?"I argued angrily.

"Because you would have refused to attend."Hin grinned.

I opened my mouth.

"Exactly."She pointed at me.

I groaned. This palace was impossible and the preparation was even worse. Ana and Hin had taken over my room.

"Hold still."Hin ordered.

"I am holding still." I said.

"You moved."Hin said.

"I breathed."I groaned.

"Too much." Hin carefully adjusted the red and gold festival robe Lin Rui had given me.

Ana fixed my hair, brushing my white strands back before securing part of it with a decorative pin.

"Perfect."She said.

I looked into the mirror. The traditional clothing fit beautifully, the embroidery catching the light whenever I moved. Then Hin suddenly stopped.

"Wait."She stopped me.

"What?"I asked.

"Your mark is glowing." She looked at the side of my shoulder.

The collar of the outfit had shifted slightly, a small mark was visible beneath it. A crescent shaped birthmark I’ve had since childhood, and weirdly, it reacted a bit as I instinctively pulled the fabric upward. But it was too late, as Lin Rui had entered the room. Her eyes locked onto the mark. For several seconds, she didn’t move.

"Wei..." Her voice trembled.

"What?"I slowly turned.

She stepped closer her eyes filled with tears.

"That mark." She began again.

"Your highness, I told you I am not sure I your son."I said nervously. "There must be way to prove it because it hurts me to see your tears."

Lin Rui’s eyes remained fixed on the crescent-shaped mark beneath my shoulder.

"Wei..." Her voice trembled. "There is one way to know for certain.".

"How?" I swallowed.

"A blood bond test."She said.

"A what?"I froze.

"A test recognized by the Red Moon Flower Empire. If you truly carry our imperial blood, the bond will reveal it."Lin Rui gently reached for my hand.

Before I could answer, the doors opened. Zhao Rui stepped inside.

"Lin Rui."He began.

"We found him."She turned toward him.

Zhao Rui’s eyes immediately fell on my birthmark. For several seconds, he couldn’t speak.

"Then we test." He quietly said.

"What happens if it’s positive?"I nervously looked between them.

"Then we finally know where our son went."Lin Rui’s eyes filled with tears.

My heart pounded. I still couldn’t believe it, I had memories of being Wei, I had lived as Wei. How could I suddenly be someone’s missing son? Yet the necklace, the copper box, the wedding cloth, the burned documents... Everything was pointing toward the same impossible answer.

"That number keeps getting worse."I stared at the system.

"Worse?"Lang Li, standing near the doorway, frowned.

"Speak."Zhao Rui immediately stood.

The staff member looked at the paper.

"The results of the blood bond test..."His voice trembled.

He stopped. My heart nearly stopped with him.

"What do they say?"Lang Li stepped closer.

"Positive."The staff member slowly broke the seal.
