Seoha’s POV

Hwang Yujun is absolutely the sweetest omega ever.

He talks with his children in a soft voice and when Soobin asks for his father, Yujun tells him he’s on his way back.

Haeri giggles at a joke and kisses her mom on the cheek. I just sit in silence with my pup on my lap.

"Daddy?" Sooin whispers, turning around in my lap so that we’re face to face.

"Are you scared?" I ask and she shakes her head. She wraps her small arms around me before pressing her face into my neck for comfort.

She says, "I’m hungry" and I look at Yujun to see how I can ask him to eat with us.

The motherly omega is already smiling at us fondly. His eyes are bright blue as his omega showcases himself, and the sight of his omega makes my own omega relax.

Safe. Home. Luna.

"Is there a place to eat?" Yujun hyung asks.

"Yes...there is a nice food place in the building" I say and the man nods.

"Let’s go then, since the alphas are on their own, we should be on our own" he says before getting up with the diaper bag they came with.

He places his son on his shoulder while Haeri, the bold little girl, stomps over to Sooin and takes her hand.

"I apologize for her behavior. Her father has a very weird habit of clinging to me" Yujun rolls his eyes.

Sooin doesn’t reject the hand holding, instead she leads them out of the office. And I feel so much pride for my girl.

She is really my daughter.

"She’s ready to be an older sister!" Yujun says and I press my lips together, "I-I don’t know if I would be a good mom" I whisper.

Yujun looks at me with his mouth open.

"Why would you think that? you’re doing a good job with your daughter. She’s well mannered, sweet, and she seems emotionally brilliant" Yujun keeps his eyes on the pair.

"Hyung, it’s a long story..."

"I have time" he checks the silver watch on his hand.

I don’t know if I can tell him everything. But the look in his eyes, the history of his own life, and the way my omega is leaning on him as if he’s my luna prompts me to trust him.

We walk into the cafeteria and different pairs of eyes follow us. Our daughters sit together on a chair and Yujun tsks.

"Haeri-ya, take another sit" Yujun says to her and Haeri shakes her head.

"Mama, SooSoo says it’s okay" she announces while hugging Sooin, and Sooin giggles softly before she pats Haeri’s head.

"It’s okay" she says.

"Oh goddess" Yujun huffs.

"Mama, water" baby Soobin asks and Yujun pulls a bottle out of his bag, giving the little boy some water.

We order lunch and help the little ones with their food before eating ours. When the girls get distracted, Yujun hyung pats the table.

"Now talk"

I look around, take a breath, and lower my voice before talking.

I tell him everything.

The people in the cafeteria disappear as I tell him all about my relationship with Kang Taesan. I tell him about Daeshin, Grandfather Kang, the stolen egg...everything.

The more I talk, the more the older omega’s fingers tighten around his chopstick. He grips them so hard that I’m sure they’ll break.

"You- I’m sorry I’m getting mad. Omegas being abused is something I work to fight against" he says, shutting his eyes to calm himself.

"Is the Kang monster still alive and walking?" he asks in a calm voice.

"Yes, but we already reached out for help"

"From whom?"

"The Deus family"

"What?" the omega asks loudly, startling the girl. They look at us with concern but immediately divert their attention to their food.

"Are you both stupid? You can’t ask help from those people; they are the closest relative of the devil" Yujun scolds.

"We had no choice" I say in a small voice.

"He could have reached out to us! The Hwang family is strong"

"I don’t know why he didn’t but...grandfather is a monster. He held Sooin over Taesan’s head...he was going to do anything possible to keep Taesan on his knees" I say and Yujun’s shoulders fall.

"I want to help. When I go home, I’ll work on something and I’ll make sure you won’t need the Deus" Yujun hyung says in a much calmer voice.

"I really appreciate your care, hyung" I breathe out, dropping my head in a respectful bow.

"Seoha, the world is full of monsters...honestly, I won’t be able to do much. My clan works by moral, but I’ll find a way" he says softly.

"Thank you" I whisper.

"Kiss me?" Haeri asks and Yujun’s face morphs into horror, "Hwang Haeri!" he calls his daughter’s name as a warning.

"Mama, too loud" Soobin whines, pressing his face into his mother’s shoulder. "Sorry Binnie, your noona is being so silly" Yujun says to his son.

The difference in his children makes me think of my own future. What will our unborn be like?

I really hope the baby will look like Taesan and not his behavior. Two Taesans would be too much for me.

When we’re done eating, we return to the office. Yujun hyung takes his time to talk to me about his pregnancy journey and how he wanted to strangle Jaehyun for suggesting a third baby.

"We need to ask the moon goddess to make the alphas get pregnant for once" he mutters.

"Haeri stop hugging Sooin and let her breathe" he scolds before focusing on me again.

The omega is sweet, and he remains sweet until his mate opens the door slightly.

Alpha Hwang Jaehyun doesn’t step in immediately. He stays at the door, so I crane my neck to see why.

He’s beaten and bloody.

And for the first time since our meeting, Yujun hyung grows cold. He places Soobin on the couch, gets up and walks to his husband.

"What happened?" he asks in his low voice.

"Well..." Jaehyun scratches at his neck. "Hwang Jaehyun" the luna growls.

"Well..."

I also get up to join them at the door. I’m looking for my mate. Why is Jaehyun here and he’s not?

"I’m sorry...where is Taesan?" I ask in a small voice.

"Breaking news" the radio in an office two door away says.

"A group of harmed men in masks, led by a sword wielding man attacked and brutally murdered people in a law firm. Reports says there are no survivors"

Oh my goddess...that’s Taesan isn’t it?

"Well..." Jaehyun says for the third time.
