A few hours ago

My lips curl into a dark smile at Shin Yechan’s shout and Damien looks too pleased at the helpless man’s assumption.

Yes. He had planted two bombs in the building. They were his alternative plan just in case his location got exposed.

Shin Yechan keeps on pushing the button in his hand frantically. He does it again and again and again, until I lean on my cane, watching him make a fool of himself.

"What an idiot" Kai Deus says as he escorts Ghost out of the room, taking him to the car for an emergency check-up.

"Was the button supposed to do something?" Damien asks like he’s unaware. This one is the most unsettling of the brothers.

He makes everything feel and sound like a joke while holding the tool that would drag you to your death.

Elias the middle son, gloomy and dark, is holding his hand around his injured arm to stop his bleeding while I watch.

I won’t touch my children’s grandfather. I will respect the fact that he is the reason Seoha exists but I will fucking watch him die. I will watch him bleed out, and my alpha will breathe in the smell of metal coming from him.

"Nothing is happening?" Damien asks innocently, grabbing the man’s hair and forcing him up. I can see his salt and pepper hair ripping out of his scalp.

Good.

He must suffer every pain he has ever inflicted on my mate. And even when he’s dead, it’s not enough.

My mate suffers abandonment issues and insecurities because of him. My mother and father are dead because of him. He took one monster and exposed himself as the other monster.

"You’re bothering this quiet neighborhood" Damien says, pulling the blunt he is smoking from between his lips and with no warning, he presses the burning end of the blunt into Shin Yechan’s eye.

The sizzling noise fills the room and it takes Yechan two seconds for the pain to register before he starts to scream. The man jerks and fights unsuccessfully under Damien’s hold.

His scream is raw and guttural, yet, it’s music to my ears.

"Can we fucking hurry?" Elias spits out.

"Relax, I don’t have a pretty omega waiting for me" Damien says with a grin.

Fuck.

I have a pretty omega waiting.

Today is our wedding day. I need them to finish this as soon as possible so I can leave. My beautiful mate, he doesn’t deserve an alpha who is late to his wedding.

"I’ll kill you!" Yechan screams at me, trying to take Damien’s hand off his head. The man is pitiful. His burnt eye is shut and the other one is red with anger.

"Okay, go ahead" Damien says and takes his hand off Yechan.

"Damien" his brother says with exhaustion.

"Let me have my fun, Mr. Husband" Damien says, opening his arms for Yechan to attack, and Yechan tries.

The man had forgotten he’s leaking blood like a pierced balloon. His back is broken. And one eye is blinded, yet he dares to attack.

He takes two steps in my direction and falls to the floor. Adding another bone to the number of cracked bones in his body.

"Seoha is mine. Seoha is mine. SEOHA IS MINE" he screams, saliva falling out of his mouth like he’s rabid. My grandfather’s set-up accident didn’t kill him, but I will make sure he never leaves here alive.

"Seoha is yours? You threw him away when he was a child" I say, pressing the tip of my face into the center of his head, forcing him to bow to the mountain.

Me.

I am the mountain and I own the river.

"You rejected him the start. I couldn’t reject him...who owns him?" I ask.

"Give me my son! I worked for years, and I want my money!" he says and I go silent. So he came back for Seoha...for money?

"I’m going to marry him. I’m going to clean my bloodline of dogs" Yechan continues to talk and I hit the cane on his head. The hit forces his face to the floor and breaks his nose.

"We’ve heard enough" Elias hisses.

The ever serious Deus cocks his gun and aims it at Yechan’s head, but before he pulls the trigger, the door opens and their youngest brother comes in.

"Are you killing him yet?" Kai asks in a bored tone. The color of his hair gives him a false look of angelic beauty, but the coldness of his blue eyes tells a different story.

"Yes" Damien says, wiping a fake tear off his face.

"Can we blow him up? I already evacuated the building" Kai says with a spark of sadistic excitement in his eyes.

"Yeah, sure. Hurry. Noah is waiting...he’s mad at me" Elias mutters and shoves his gun away.

"My mate is waiting too" I say and they all nod.

While we turn to leave and let Kai handle the bomb, Elias shoots Yechan twice. One in his leg, one in the neck.

"Disgusting pig" he spits out.

We make our way out of the building and I find Junho waiting for me with Minjae and his son.

I grin at them. Happy to see my family. The building behind me explodes and the force pushes me to the floor, but I still smile as I pick myself off the floor.

I won. Seoha won. We fucking won.

"Hurry up! My soulmate is waiting for his annoying as fuck husband to be, I don’t know why he likes you when you’re this old. Are you fifty yet?" Minjae yells from the car to annoy me.

"You promised no fighting till after their honeymoon" Junho says softly from the front seat.

"It’s my love language. Get in here and shave, you look like you just survived an explosion" Minjae tsks and I say nothing.

I’m... happy.

"I can’t believe my son saw an explosion before he even turned three months. You owe me" the wild cat continues to talk and I sink into the car seat.

The three Deus brother stand at a distance. And in front of the burning building, they look like gods.

Only they can orchestrate an explosion in broad daylight without fear.

But fuck...I won.

"Shave, asshole" Minjae shoves a shaving kit to me.

"Shut up, wild cat" I throw at him.

"Overgrown Boulder" he hisses.

"I will throw you out of the car" I say to him and he rolls his eyes at me.

"Where is Ghost?" I ask.

"He has been taken to Hwangyeon with Taerin and Yuki" Junho says and I nod. Shutting my eyes briefly and smelling the smoke coming from me.

"When we arrive, you’ll go change. I’ll go in but I won’t tell Seoha you’re there yet, oh he’s going to be so happy" Minjae starts to talk again and I tune him out.

I won over them all. I don’t know what the future would hold, but hell, I will do anything to give Seoha the best. I’ll start with giving him a wed-able face.
