In the guild hall of the Adventurer’s Guild, players gathered for the "emergency meeting" that came out of nowhere.

The start of the raid was only half an hour away, and they were all in the middle of preparations.

Gathering potions, sharpening their weapons, et cetera.

"...What’s going on?"

"...Yeah, why this sudden meeting? Could it be that the raid is being cancelled?"

"...There is no way. Why would the raid be cancelled? It’s far too important."

While the players were in the middle of their conversations, Leon suddenly walked in with a serious expression on his face.

The discussions quieted down.

He took the stage.

He looked across all the players gathered, wondering who among them could be the spy, and then looked over to Hermes.

Hermes activated the jamming device, and therefore, nobody among them could send a message to the outside world.

"There has been a change to the plan. I know it comes as sudden. But this is a necessary change."

Leon said.

The players were surprised. It was really sudden. They had already been creating their own little plans with their guilds.

Now it was all obsolete because the main plan had changed!

"There better be good reason for changing the plan only half an hour before the start of the raid!"

Grimson Duke angrily shouted, and many people agreed with him, feeling frustrated and confused.

"It’s a better plan, don’t worry."

Leon said, and then he started talking about the plan that Hermes and Raon told him about, but the way he kept wording things, it made it seem like he was the one that came up with it.

"...I wonder what’s the reason for this sudden change."

Chaewon said while sitting with other Fourth-Liners of Rose Records.

"The new plan does sound better. I didn’t like the uncertain factor of the previous plan, because we had no way of knowing how many hackers would be waiting for Lock.

"This is much better."

Della said.

Fang Raon, meanwhile, stayed quiet and didn’t reveal that it was actually his plan all along.

When the whole plan was laid out for everyone, the players agreed that it did sound like more of a safe bet.

"I will now reveal those that will be going with me to the city."

Leon said.

Everyone, once again, quieted down to listen intently.

"Seonwoo Kim."

The giant of a woman nodded her head, and everyone thought it was an obvious choice, as she was the strongest Tank around.

"Lock Manchester."

The short young man smiled with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Grimson Duke."

The members of the Grimson Dawn let out a round of applause while Grimson kept sitting with his arms crossed.

It was like he was saying, "As it should," like he knew that he would be chosen!

"Hermes Moon."

The white-haired Hermes just smiled and nodded.

"Aria Rossie."

Sitting with the new members of her guild, Aria smiled slightly, while her guild members looked far more excited than she was.

"Kerr Gehram and Rasmus Seider."

Leon said.

The two rivals looked each other in the eye and then scoffed and turned their heads away.

In the past year, Rasmus and Kerr had created their own guilds, and their guilds had been butting heads constantly.

Only because there was the threat of the hackers did their guilds not start an all-out guild war!

"Super Max."

Leon said.

Amongst the players, an orange-haired man stood up with a smirk, giving off an air of confidence, like he knew that he was better than everybody around him.

He was one of the "solo" players with no guild behind him or to help him, but he didn’t care, as he liked playing alone.

He was also the one with the third most hacker kills among all the players, as in just a past year, he had grown tremendously.

He was an Assassin like Lock, and everyone had been thinking that nobody could rival Lock, as he was so young, then Super Max appeared!

Super Max was the same age as Lock.

"And lastly..."

Leon took a dramatic pause, and then his gaze landed at the man at the back of the hall.

"Fang Raon!"

As soon as the words left his lips, everyone looked shocked, and most of them also frowned as they didn’t recognize the name.

There were a couple players that remembered the name from over a year ago but hadn’t heard about him in a long while.

The members of Rose Records gasped in shock, and they all looked at Fang Raon in surprise.

"...What did you do, brat?"

Rock asked with a sigh.

"I’ll tell later."

Fang Raon said.

Meanwhile, Anna, Raikou, and Raizen were especially surprised, as when they heard the words "Fang," at first they thought Raizen would be chosen.

But no.

To their surprise, it was their "weakest" sibling Raon!

"Why did Leon choose him? Is he planning to hurt him?"

Anna asked with a panic.

They knew about Leon’s hatred and vengeance towards Raizen, so he might be trying to get revenge by hurting his family!

"...I really don’t know."

Raizen said with a frown.

The group that Leon just formed was really strong. It was a super squad. So adding Raon to that felt strange to say the least.

To everyone, it felt like Raon was easily the weakest link, but of course, none of them had seen his strength.

He was a complete oddball!

"The rest of you take your position on the 2nd floor, right by the entrance of the 2nd floor. We’ll stay in contact.

"If, for some reason, the hackers decide to attack us in the city, we’ll inform all of you, and you all head straight to the first floor and attack them from the back!"

Leon shouted.

The players nodded, and with that, the meeting ended, and they all quickly rushed out of the Adventurer’s Guild to do the final preparations.

"Good luck, babe."

Chaewon leaned close and gave a tender kiss on Raon’s lips and then left with other members of Rose Records.

"Be safe."

Della gently touched his hand but didn’t kiss him like Chaewon because her grandfather was watching.

She then followed Chaewon out of the building.

The members of the "Super Squad" stayed behind in the hall, and as Raon looked at everyone here, he really felt like he didn’t belong here.

"Hermes, have you secured our smuggler?"

Leon asked.

"Yes. Luckily there are still a few locals around, and I managed to find a merchant that was willing to take us to the first floor."

Hermes said.

Without a local merchant, it was simply impossible for them to travel to the first floor via the smuggling route.

"Good. Is he waiting?"

Leon said.

"Outside, yes."

Hermes nodded.

"Then let’s get going. I’ll explain the rest of the plan on the way."

Leon said, and everyone stood up and headed out of the back door, as the local merchant was waiting at the back with his wagon.

"Hello, my name is Aria!"

In that moment, the cute Aria walked over to Raon and said with a smile, curiously looking at him.

She was wondering why he was chosen to be part of the Super Squad, and was curious about his relationship with Leon.

’The name Fang... Is he related to Raizen? If so, why did Leon choose to select him to be part of the squad...’

Aria thought to herself.

"Raon, nice to meet you."

Fang Raon shook her soft hand with a small smile on his face and noticed something really strange about her.

’Her handshake is really firm!’

He thought in surprise as she was such a petite, cute girl that he never expected her to have such strength!

As soon as they entered the wagon, Hermes talked to the local merchant, and they immediately headed off.

There was a secret underground route within the city of the 6th floor that would take them straight to the smuggling route.

It was only accessible by the locals.

"...Now, can you explain the reason he is here?"

Grimson asked and looked straight at Raon, as there must be a reason why such a no-name was here with them.

"He is the one that came up with this plan as he found out that one of the players here is actually a spy for the hackers.

"The previous plan got leaked to them."

Hermes said.

Gasp~! They let out a collective gasp of shock.

They also had many questions, like how Raon found out about that and why they hadn’t done anything to find the spy.

"We can deal with the spy after this whole ordeal is over. The main focus should be getting rid of the hackers."

Leon said.

"So you thought of this plan..."

Aria sat across from Raon, their knees grazing each other, as it was such a cramped place inside the wagon that they couldn’t stop touching each other.

"It is a good plan."

She said with a smile.

"Thanks."

Fang Raon said with a nod of appreciation.

"Are you the strategist for Rose Records?"

Grimson Duke asked.

"I am not exactly sure what my position is. I’ve been away for a while, and I just returned, but I did handle the strategy part when I was leading the Fourth Line of the Rose Records."

Fang Raon said.

"Hey... I remember you now. You’re the guy whose ass I beat in that tournament back in the Megaworld!"

Lock said with a laugh.

"...Long time no see."

Fang Raon said with a twitching mouth.

He didn’t know how to react after coming face-to-face with his "rival" Lock Manchester, who had been plaguing his dreams for a while now.

It had been his goal to beat Lock one day, but only a year ago, it felt like an impossible dream.

But now... with his current strength... maybe the gap wasn’t as big as he remembered.
