Chapter 365: Magic Master

Devon touched a wall with his pale hand, and suddenly, green magic circles appeared all around the wall.

CLICK!

It clicked open. As if a door’s lock was just opened with a key. The wall then slowly began to slide to the side.

He stepped through, and the wall slid back shut behind him.

"Stop it!"

A shout-whisper came from the direction of the cage as one of the players quickly hid a sharp rock behind his back.

He had been trying to cut through the cage with it, but since it was protected by Devon’s magic, it was the same as trying to cut through metal with a paper knife.

"You’re awake. Good."

Devon smiled, and then with a wave of his hand, the lock of the cage unlocked itself, and the lock fell to the ground with a loud clang.

He swung the cage open and dragged the two players out, who screamed, "Take your hands off us!"

Devon dragged them to the table and put them lying on their backs, securing their hands and feet with magic.

Green magical ropes wrapped around their wrists and ankles, binding them tightly.

"Haa... haa... haa..."

The two village girls looked away, as they didn’t want to see the horrible fate that awaited the two players.

"YOU BASTARD!"

"LET GO OF US!"

The players shouted.

Then, Devon pulled out a sharp butcher knife and slowly approached them with a wicked smile on his face.

"Today’s experiment—finding out how much blood two players can lose before dying."

He lifted the butcher knife above his head, and the two players’ faces turned ghastly pale, like all blood drained out of their faces.

"Noooooo!"

Chop!

...

Boom~!

The underground forest shook as the skeletons were blasted through the trees and into the cave wall.

"Where is the exit?"

Xiao Yue wondered, and then she pulled out a Mana Recovery Potion from her inventory and drank it.

"Above."

Fang Raon said as he looked at the rock ceiling, and there was a little opening there—the hole that he originally created.

"How do we get there?"

Xiao Yue asked.

"With Skydance."

Fang Raon said.

"..."

Xiao Yue turned silent and, honestly, ashamed for some reason with an embarrassed blush spreading across her cheeks.

Noticing that, Raon looked at her and understood why she was ashamed, and he cleared his throat.

"Ahem, could it be that you haven’t learned it yet?"

"I hadn’t found time!"

Xiao Yue shouted with a flustered expression, and instead of her ice princess self, she looked quite adorable.

Former members of Dead Redemption would be shocked to see her showing so many emotions.

"When I was with Dead Redemption, we didn’t spend a lot of time training but instead spent most of our time fighting monsters.

"Skydance is the last Five Pillars of Power that I need to learn, but I haven’t been able to find enough free time to do that yet.

"Otherwise, I would’ve easily learned it already!"

Xiao Yue tried to explain.

"I understand..."

Fang Raon said, but he couldn’t help but crack a smile, which infuriated her even more, and she almost lost her temper.

"Then should I carry you?"

Fang Raon asked.

"..."

Xiao Yue’s eyes turned cold, and then she looked towards the camera, and she tightly put her hands into fists.

She wasn’t sure how many people were watching his stream right now, but even if there was one person, she wouldn’t want anyone seeing her being carried by a man!

She didn’t want to come off as weak.

"Come here."

Xiao Yue flicked her finger, motioning for him to get closer, and he did exactly that.

The closer he got, more Raon realized just how ridiculously beautiful she was, and his heart started beating slightly faster.

It was impossible for any man to not feel something in her presence.

"Turn the camera away."

Xiao Yue whispered into his ear, and it took Raon a moment to understand why she wanted that, but he quickly understood.

He took a manual control of the camera and turned it around so it would point at nothing but the stone wall.

[LadyBelle: We can’t see anything!]

[Keeper55: Hey, what the hell is this camera doing?]

Then, Fang Raon swept Yue’s feet from under her and took her into a carry, and she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Skydance!"

He kicked the air and propelled into the sky, and soon, he flew through the opening in the ceiling.

Fang Raon gently landed on the ground, and Xiao Yue quickly pushed him off and landed on the ground by herself.

"If you mention this to anybody, I will kill you. If you think Devon is scary, you haven’t seen me."

Xiao Yue said.

"...Right."

Fang Raon wryly smiled, and he then brought the camera out of the hole as well.

’Right, wasn’t she the young princess of the Rorazon Crime Family? Even my father would’ve never dared to pick a fight with them.’

He thought.

"Where did he go?"

He asked.

"I can track him."

Xiao Yue said, and then she brought out her dark purple grimoire and touched the air in front of her.

"Every person has a distinct smell that can be used to track. I can make that scent trail visible to the naked eye."

She said.

Then, three scent trails appeared in the sky. They looked like the aurora borealis, except smaller in size.

Green, blue, and light blue trails.

"The light blue is mine. Blue is yours. Green is his."

Xiao Yue said coldly and followed the green trail out of the room, and Fang Raon followed closely behind.

’At least she is fine with me helping for now. However, I don’t really have any intention to deal with the Butcher.

’I’ll leave that to Xiao Yue, as she clearly just wants to rip him apart. My sole goal is to rescue that village girl.’

Fang Raon thought.

It was clear to him that Devon was insanely strong. Surprisingly strong for someone being on the 17th floor.

He kind of reminded him of Randell, who decided to be at lower floors as the King, instead of being at higher floors.

’Devon must’ve chosen a lower floor because easier targets.’

Fang Raon thought.

In that moment, they reached the end of the tunnel and a wall. The scent trail ended at the wall. But it was clearly going deeper inside.

"A secret entrance."

Xiao Yue said and traced her finger across the wall’s surface, and a deep frown appeared in her brows.

"A magic-encoded secret entrance. This bastard is really good at magic."

She reeled back her fist, and dark magic swirled around her fist and concentrated at the tip of her knuckle.

"Dark Magic: Punch!"

The fist smashed through the wall. It was a magic-protected wall, but still, she was able to punch straight through it!

Her magic was also insanely strong!

There was a reason why she was part of Dead Redemption, as she was one of the strongest magicians in the world.

Only second to Hermes!

With Hermes reset back to level 1, she was now the strongest magician in the entire Black Online.

In that moment, their eyes opened up to a view of a nasty-looking room. It smelled horrible inside.

A place for experiments with all kinds of tools scattered about, and buckets of unknown liquids, and vials of bubbling potions.

Dead skeletons, and stitched-up bodies were piled up on the corner of a room.

There was a cage with two girls trapped inside and two cut-up players on top of the stone table—they were still alive.

Their breathing was hollow and difficult to hear.

"..."

In that moment, Devon looked over with a frown. He was holding strange surgery tools in his hands.

They were drenched in blood, and so were his hands.

He wasn’t wearing any gloves for whatever reason, as if he liked the feeling of sticky warm blood in his hands.

"DEVON!"

Xiao Yue screamed and attacked him right away, with her fist clad in the Dark Magic of the Demoness.

Devon crossed his arms. The punch landed right into his forearms. It sent him sliding backwards across the room.

"Save us, please!"

The two village girls jumped to their feet and grabbed the cage with their trembling fingers, finally feeling hope.

All their hope had been drained from their youthful bodies, but finally, they had a chance at survival!

"Devon does not like his experiments being interrupted. However, Devon likes you, pretty lady. If you promise to be his wife, he won’t experiment on you."

Devon said with a smile.

"Sickening bastard. I will pay for what you did to my sister. I will make you suffer like you’ve never suffered before."

Xiao Yue said with a rageful look in her eyes.

"...Your sister? Ah, yes. Devon remembers her, yes. She was Devon’s favorite Kara, and Devon misses her dearly.

"However, you will be a good replacement."

Devon said with a smile.

Xiao Yue, with hatred boiling inside of her, jumped towards him and started pummeling him with her punches.

However.

Devon just tanked the punches. He wasn’t doing anything. None of the punches were doing any damage to him!

’His cloak is being protected by magic runes. He is also capable of creating his own protection runes? Just who is he?’

Xiao Yue narrowed her eyes.

Meanwhile, Fang Raon cut through the cage, freeing the two village girls, who tanked him repeatedly.

"Hurry up and leave."

He said, and they thanked him one last time before they ran out of the room and didn’t look back at all.

"H-Help..."

The two players pleaded, who were bound to the table, and Raon also freed them and gave them some healing liquids.

Their mutilated bodies started to heal.

"You two, leave as well."

Fang Raon said, and they barely had any energy to even thank him, but they did, and then left the room limping.

Boom~!

In that moment, a large boom sounded, and Xiao Yue was thrown across the room, and she smashed into a wall.

She coughed up blood.
