Silence filled the darkness again, with only the faint glow of the spherical Consciousness floating in front of Velmira while she stared at it with her usual nonchalant expression, though her thoughts continued questioning the sudden change in Eliomor’s behaviour, and somehow every question she had seemed to lead toward the same conclusion, ’Why would it act like this?’

After thinking about it for a moment, she arrived at a possibility that made her expression become slightly more serious, ’Even if its reason is the same as protecting the Continent, something is clearly wrong here...and from the looks of it, it is planning something again...wait, what if it showed me that boy because it wants me to go against him? What if...it is trying to manipulate me again just like back then?’

She didn’t trust Eliomor even a little, but that didn’t change the fact that she needed the restrictions removed from her soul, because only after regaining her strength would she be able to act according to her own will again, ’I can’t trust it one bit but...I need the restrictions off of me, only then can I act freely, so...’

Her thoughts finally settled as she looked directly at the spherical Consciousness and answered, "Alright, I don’t see any arguments there, so lift those restrictions right now, before Azarion can do anymore damage to the Human Continent."

As she spoke, Velmira’s left hand moved toward the Locket she always wore, and the moment her fingers touched it, she felt Semekrus respond with a soft glow from within, almost as if it had understood what she was saying without needing any further explanation, making Velmira’s expression soften for a brief moment as she thought, ’I know, our long-awaited Freedom is finally here, but I will remain cautious, don’t worry, I am not that fool from back then...’

The soft glow of Semekrus intensified once before gradually fading away, and only then did the spherical Consciousness of Eliomor finally react.

A small drop of glowing water emerged from the spherical shape, its entire body carrying a deep blue colour as it slowly moved toward Velmira’s forehead, and the moment it reached barely an inch away from her skin, it suddenly shot forward and entered directly through her forehead.

There was no resistance at all.

The moment the blue substance entered her body, Velmira’s consciousness disappeared, her eyes going completely blank before she could even understand what had happened, but even after she lost consciousness, Marvilas remained firmly held within her grip as if consciousness wasn’t the only thing keeping her hand closed around the sword.

For several moments, nothing else happened.

Everything within the darkness remained completely still except for the spherical Consciousness of Eliomor, which continued floating in the same position while silently watching Velmira’s unconscious body.

Then, without any warning, Velmira’s body began lifting off the ground on its own.

Her hands remained hanging toward the ground while her face turned upward, her entire body slowly rising higher and higher until she reached several meters above the ground, and when her body reached almost the centre of the darkness surrounding her, it finally stopped.

Something began appearing from within her body.

Invisible chains slowly became visible as they stretched outward from her figure and disappeared into the endless darkness around her, exactly five chains emerging from five different parts of her body, one from the centre of her chest, one from her abdomen, one from her back, one from her right hand and the final one from her forehead.

Each chain was roughly the size of a human hand, but its actual length couldn’t be seen because every single one of them stretched far beyond the darkness surrounding Velmira, reaching toward an unknown distance.

One after another, the five chains became visible.

The moment they fully appeared, a CRACK suddenly echoed through the darkness.

The chain connected to Velmira’s forehead was the first to crack, the sound spreading through the empty darkness before another crack followed from the chain attached to her right hand, then the one connected to her back, while the chain emerging from her abdomen was the last among the four to begin showing signs of breaking.

But the fifth chain didn’t move at all.

The chain emerging from the centre of Velmira’s chest showed no sign of cracking, not even the slightest change in its structure, making it seem as if something was forcefully preventing it from breaking.

And that was exactly what was happening.

That particular chain was being maintained by Eliomor itself, because unlike the other four restrictions, this chain wasn’t simply connected to one of Velmira’s powers or abilities.

It was the chain that connected Eliomor to Velmira’s soul.

That was the one restriction Eliomor had no intention of removing, even after agreeing to give Velmira back her freedom, because as long as that chain remained intact, Velmira would still remain bound to the Oath she had taken centuries ago.

If Velmira had been conscious, she wouldn’t have cared about that remaining chain right now. Her only priority was getting her strength back.

The restrictions that had prevented her from cultivating and using her true power were what mattered to her the most, and as long as she could regain that freedom, she could deal with the remaining bond later,For now, this wasenoughonce she became strong enough, she could deal with that as well.

Back to the present, one after another the chains didn’t simply start cracking, the moment each chain broke, the restriction connected to it completely disappeared as the cracks spread through its entire structure before the chain itself faded away into the surrounding darkness.

This process continued with every single chain until only the final one remained, the one connected to Velmira’s chest, which still showed no sign of breaking.

With that, the entire process finally came to an end, the four broken chains had completely disappeared from Velmira’s body and from the darkness itself while the final chain remained exactly where it was, still connecting her soul to Eliomor, and only then did Velmira’s body slowly begin descending until her feet once again reached the unknown ground beneath her.

The moment her feet touched the ground, Velmira’s eyes shot open and immediately shifted toward the spherical Consciousness of Eliomor, her expression carrying confusion for only a moment before something else caught her attention, "Wh-Where am I?!...Wait, this feeling..."

She immediately closed her eyes and focused entirely on herself, trying to understand what had changed inside her body, and the moment she did, she felt it clearly, the ambient Spirit Energy that previously couldn’t enter her body naturally was now flowing inside her again, moving through her body without any resistance while her senses also stretched far beyond their previous limits.

But that wasn’t even the most important part.

Her True strength had returned.

The strength of a Special Ex-rank was once again present within her body, meaning she could now Teleport anywhere she wanted in the whole world just like Solaris and the other Kings and Queens of the Continents, and that was only one of the abilities she had regained now that the restrictions were gone.

Her actual strength was far beyond what most people in this world could even comprehend, a continent itself couldn’t hold a candle against a Special Ex-rank if its King or Queen wasn’t present to protect it, and that alone was enough to show exactly how powerful Velmira truly was.

Even when she had fought that Ex-rank Monster inside the Eternal Ruin, she had been at her weakest state because the restrictions placed upon her had suppressed her strength to an extreme degree, yet even under those conditions she had still been powerful enough to fight at that level, so if she were to fight while using her true strength now, the difference would be something entirely different.

Yet...I still feel that my soul is anchored with this bastard, just some more time, I need to figure things out.’

Her eyes opened again as she stared at the spherical Consciousness of Eliomor with clear hatred, she had regained her freedom to cultivate and use her strength, but she could still feel that final connection deep within her soul, reminding her that the Oath had never actually been removed.

Eliomor remained silent for a moment before finally speaking, "Now that everything is settled, I will send you back, do handle the chaos going on above yourself now..." The moment those words ended, Velmira suddenly felt something take hold of her body and soul.

She didn’t even get the chance to react before her surroundings changed, her body being forcibly teleported away without her own will as if the entire world itself had decided where she needed to return, and within the next moment she was back inside the chamber she normally resided in.

Velmira’s feet touched the ground as she immediately looked around, but the moment Eliomor’s final words returned to her mind, her expression changed.

Chaos? What chaos?...Don’t tell me...!’

The thought had barely formed before Velmira disappeared from the chamber. She immediately Teleported to a certain location she knew very well, a place she had visited countless times before, but the moment she arrived, her movement stopped completely.

Her eyes widened as she stared at the scene unfolding directly in front of her. For a few moments, she couldn’t even process what she was seeing.

Only now did Velmira Velmira realize something, far more time had passed inside that darkness than she knew. And now, after finally regaining the strength she had spent countless years waiting for, she could only stand there and stare at what might have been the worst thing she could have possibly returned to.
