Some Hours Later, Almost Evening was descending over the Human Continent. At the far entrance of the Human Continent itself, Velmira could be seen floating in the air as she looked toward Azarion, who floated just opposite to her with narrowed eyes. After the severance of the Treaty through a certain method, they had discussed some more about the monsters before all the rulers finally took their leave as the meeting had come to an end.

When they did take their leave, each and every ruler was completely focused on Azarion with Bloodlust in their eyes, but as they couldn’t just attack him on the grounds of the Ancients, they had to wait until they left.

Just when everyone prepared to leave in their respective Spirit Jets, Azarion’s Spirit Jet suddenly vanished as he teleported without hesitation because he knew that if he tried to travel back slowly through the sky, he would definitely be attacked immediately. While Azarion thought he had gotten away, that wasn’t the case at all. The other rulers simply watched his Spirit Jet disappear before boarding their own, each of them understanding exactly why he had teleported.

They had no intention of allowing him to escape forever, and they already knew where he had to return. Velmira, however, had another reason for following him so quickly, and unlike the other rulers, she wasn’t interested in merely confronting him.

After that, Velmira and her disciple boarded their own Spirit Jet and they also teleported without wasting any time. What the other rulers were shocked about was why she would need to teleport like Azarion, but the answer was simple.

She was finally going to kill Azarion the moment he entered the Human Continent. She had held back for an entire day because of two important reasons. The first was that she had to stabilize herself with her recovered strength and abilities. After spending a thousand years without her real strength and suddenly regaining all of it she once possessed had placed a considerable strain on her body and Soul, and she needed time to bring all of it under control before engaging in a battle of this level.

The second reason was that she didn’t want to kill Azarion before the meeting with the Ancients was over. If the Human King suddenly disappeared before the meeting, the Human Continent could immediately fall into internal and external chaos alike, with nobles fighting amongst themselves for influence and succession while the Military could also become divided depending on which side different forces supported.

More importantly, killing Azarion before knowing what the Ancients intended to do could force Velmira into a situation where her actions interfered with whatever larger decision was being made during that meeting. She had waited because she wanted to know what the Ancients would decide before removing the ruler of the Human Continent.

But now, nothing held her back from taking action.

The moment both Spirit Jets arrived in the Human Continent one after another, Velmira immediately took action. Azarion’s Spirit Jet had barely crossed into the Human Continent when Velmira appeared beside it and struck it with her fist.

BOOOOOM!

The entire Spirit Jet was thrown toward the entrance of the Human Continent at tremendous speed, its outer structure breaking apart from the force of the impact as it was sent crashing toward the massive mountain that marked the beginning of the Human Continent. The Spirit Jet slammed into the mountain and a huge portion of the mountain was destroyed, sending rocks and debris flying in every direction.

Azarion emerged from the destroyed Spirit Jet and immediately looked toward Velmira, his expression changing as he tried to understand what had just happened. ’How did she attack me? She should be bound by the Oath made with Eliomor.’ His eyes narrowed as the answer began forming in his mind.

Don’t tell me...!’ The moment that thought formed, his expression changed completely. It did not take him too much time to realize that the Oath had been severed somehow, and that was the only reason Velmira could attack him without restraint. Before he could think any further, Velmira’s voice reached him.

"How does it feel to get cornered just like you did to other people? You didn’t just stop at cornering them, you tortured them, killed them, and schemed against them even when you were the King. You will die a miserable death by my hands." Hearing her words, Azarion gritted his teeth and cursed inside his mind.

’Shit! She can really kill me now!’ Before he could take any kind of action, he suddenly felt every instinct in his body react at once. His very being warned him of the danger coming from directly above him, causing him to immediately lift his head.

A fist was already descending toward him.

Velmira’s fist tore through the fabric of space itself as it travelled toward his face, and Azarion barely had enough time to raise his arms before it landed directly against him.

BOOOOOM!

The explosive sound spread through the entrance of the Human Continent as Azarion’s body was launched through the air in an instant. He crashed into the massive mountain several kilometers behind him, and the impact destroyed another huge section of the mountain as rocks collapsed around his body. The force of the impact created a large depression in the mountain, with broken stone spreading across the surrounding area.

Velmira remained floating in the same position as she looked at her own fist before turning her attention toward the mountain. ’He is using the highest-grade defensive Relic, I see...’ Her eyes remained indifferent as the rocks inside the mountain began moving and Azarion slowly emerged from beneath them. His clothes were damaged, blood could be seen around his mouth, and the defensive Relic surrounding his body was flickering from the force it had absorbed. Velmira watched him without any change in her expression. ’That’s good. He won’t die quickly, this will automatically help me kill him slowly and painfully.’

Velmira didn’t care about the destroyed mountain or the rubble covering the area. The next moment, she vanished from her position and appeared directly in front of Azarion. This time, her speed exceeded the limits she had displayed previously, causing the space around them to appear almost motionless from Azarion’s perspective. He couldn’t even follow her movement before her fist had already reached him. She punched him again, then again, and then again, each impact arriving before his body could fully react to the previous one.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

The number of attacks continued increasing until Azarion could no longer distinguish them individually. Hundreds of punches landed across his body within moments, striking his chest, abdomen, ribs, shoulders, arms and legs from different directions. His defensive Relic continued absorbing the majority of the force, but even it had limits. The repeated impacts began cracking his bones despite the protection, while his body was repeatedly driven backward into the mountain.

’A-At this rate I will die.’

Azarion’s thoughts became increasingly focused as another punch struck his abdomen and forced his body deeper into the mountain. ’The Relic won’t be able to protect me forever... She is too strong.’ His limbs were already reaching the point where several bones had fractured, and even with the defensive Relic protecting his body, he couldn’t recover from the damage quickly enough. Every attempt to move was interrupted by another attack before he could properly defend himself.

BOOOM! CRACK!

His body was pushed deeper into the mountain as the rocks surrounding him broke apart and shot outward from the force of each impact. Yet even then, Azarion did not scream or cry out. He had experienced pain long before this, and pain of this scale was something he could still endure, even if barely. What mattered was that he understood exactly how dangerous the situation had become. If he had not possessed the defensive Relic, a single one of Velmira’s punches would have been enough to kill him.

But he also knew that simply enduring the attacks was impossible. His body couldn’t continue taking damage at this rate, and his abilities weren’t capable of repairing his bones and limbs as quickly as Velmira was destroying them.

Then Azarion’s eyes shifted toward Velmira.

Her sword was still sheathed.

That realization caused his expression to tighten.

’She hasn’t even drawn her sword.’ Everything she had done so far had been with her bare hands, which meant that the strength she was displaying was still far from her full combat ability. Azarion understood that if this continued for much longer, his defensive Relic would eventually fail and his body would be destroyed before he could activate the plan he had spent centuries preparing.

’I did not want to unleash them this quickly, especially I never expected to unleash them against her, but... there is no other way out of this.’ His hands remained crossed in front of his body as another punch struck his defense, causing the Relic to flicker again. Azarion immediately made his decision and sent a telepathic message toward the person waiting inside the underground facility.

’Veyron, send all the Chimeras to my location.’

The telepathic message reached Veyron.
