Chapter 114: Chapter 114: Obtaining the Holy Relic

Kevin ignored the faces. He just kept swinging the Lance of Longinus and pushing deeper.

Any Eldritch face that got close to him was shattered by the power of the Lance of Longinus.

Even if some faces tried to sneak attack him, Kevin’s other weapons would knock them back.

At this point, Kevin had fully brought out the strength of the [Eight Arms] skill.

"So the ancient races went into hiding, waiting for help from outsiders."

"And you are worthy to be our helper and receive our gift."

The ancient conch monster reached out a tentacle and handed Kevin a strange Rune Stone. It fit perfectly into the slot on the stone door.

Kevin took the Rune Stone and frowned. "Can my friends come down here too?"

The ancient conch monster let out a call.

A huge bubble, still covered in foam, fell from the sky.

Nova, Amelia, and the other three girls were inside the bubble, looking down nervously.

They were still trapped in the illusion, not yet awake.

Kevin raised his Lance of Longinus and gently poked the bubble in the air.

The bubble popped instantly. The girls blinked, looking confused.

"Where are we? Did we fall into another illusion?" Raphael asked Kevin, frowning.

"Forget about that for now. Get ready to fight," Amelia said, raising her pistol and aiming at the ancient conch monster.

Even Eliana, Celula, and Nova pulled out their weapons.

Just as a fight was about to break out, Kevin stepped in front of the girls. "Hold on. This thing doesn’t seem to mean us any harm."

The ancient conch monster nodded at Kevin and the others. That ancient voice echoed in their minds again.

"Outsiders who have passed the trial, the lighthouse of the Conch Clan will light your way forward."

"No matter where you are in the future, as long as you’re within the ’First Sea Area,’ you can follow the Conch Clan’s lighthouse and come back here to rest."

"This will be your safest harbor. Neither Eldritch Entities nor the Black Curtain storms can reach this place."

With that, the ancient conch monster stretched its tentacle past Kevin and pointed. "Go now. Take my clan’s gift and break the chains of this sea."

The stone door opened right away. Kevin led the girls through the portal, leaving the confused ancient conch monster behind.

These outsiders sure were complicated creatures.

After passing through the portal, Kevin and the girls found themselves on a wide-open grassland.

In the middle of the grassland stood a statue of a sea god. It gave off a strong, warm light that felt really nice on their skin.

Celula closed her eyes, tilted her head back, and took a deep breath. "This feels so good. It smells like sunshine."

Nova walked up and looked closely at the statue. She shouted in surprise, "This statue can actually give off sunlight. If we have this, can we turn night into day?"

"It’s not just that. Look at the grass under the statue," Amelia said, pointing at the plants at the statue’s feet. There were all kinds of wild fruits growing there.

Kevin walked over, picked one, and took a bite.

"Are you crazy?" Raphael reached out to grab the fruit from Kevin’s hand, but he dodged. "Don’t worry. I’m not afraid of poison."

Kevin picked a few other fruits and took bites of them too.

At the foot of the sea god statue, there were five kinds of fruit. Kevin tried each one and found that aside from being sweet and delicious, they had no side effects at all.

"These fruits are all safe to eat." Kevin said confidently.

Kevin made that judgment silently and told the girls to leave first.

"Aren’t you coming with us?" Raphael asked, frowning.

"I’m leaving something behind for the people who come after us," Kevin said with a grin. "They followed us all the way here. They deserve to get something out of it."

Nova and Amelia both rolled their eyes at Kevin.

They knew Kevin was about to pull some kind of trick again.

Knowing Kevin, it was already lucky if he wasn’t planning to leave a bomb for the people chasing them.

"Be careful." Eliana said before reluctantly walking away.

After they were far enough, Kevin took out his [EldritchMall VIP Card] and summoned Lilith.

The moment Lilith stepped out of the portal, the guardian power around her sensed her presence instantly.

"Damn it! Why did you summon me in a place like this?" Lilith roared angrily.
