Chapter 146: Chapter 146: The Four Clans

It was a pity that the only flying unit Kevin could summon for long-range scouting right now was the Mist Phantom.

"I wish I could increase the drone’s reconnaissance range," Kevin sighed. He decided to take the carrier aircraft out for a search over the surrounding waters later.

Just then, through the glass of the bridge, Kevin saw Bruce Lee lying on the deck, doing nothing and staring into space. "What did he do this morning?"

Toti laughed out loud at the question. "That kid ate some expired meat and beans that Stephanie gave him, and he’s over the moon about it. You know what? That idiot even asked Stephanie for two contraceptive pills. He couldn’t bear to swallow them all at once, so he chewed them a full two hundred times in his mouth."

Hearing this, the girls around them raised their arms to cover their eyes. The scene was too cringeworthy to watch.

Kevin chuckled. "That guy came to my ship to flirt with girls. I guess I need to find him something to do."

With that, Kevin pushed open the window and jumped straight onto the deck.

The loud thud startled the drowsy Bruce Lee awake.

"Is it time to eat?" Bruce Lee asked excitedly.

He thought it was Stephanie coming to see him again, but it turned out to be Kevin.

His face fell with disappointment, and he gave an awkward smile. "Sorry, I was dreaming."

Kevin laughed. "Do you want some pizza?"

Bruce Lee’s mouth watered at the question.

Seeing his reaction, Kevin grinned. "Help me out for two hours, and I’ll buy you a meal. Fair enough?"

Bruce Lee got all excited at that. "Fair enough, fair enough! But can I work for four hours instead? Otherwise, you’ll only treat me to lunch, and nobody will feed me dinner."

Kevin slapped his forehead and silently told himself not to get angry with a fool.

Soon, Kevin took off into the sky in the carrier aircraft with Bruce Lee.

Meanwhile, far away across the sea, the Grion family’s cruise ship slowly sailed into a group of islands.

Messi·Grion stared at the fog hanging over the islands and frowned. "What a disgusting smell. Justin, are you sure the evil god Soros ordered you to stay here?"

Justin stood at the bow of the ship. When the cruise ship docked at the shore of one island, he jumped off and said loudly without looking back at Messi·Grion, "Don’t worry. When the storm comes, I’ll bring Soros’s clan to support you."

Messi·Grion narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "You’d better keep your word. I don’t want us to be outnumbered when the time comes.

Justin spread his hands. "Don’t worry. Lord Soros has four clans in the First Sea Area. They can put together at least two thousand Eldritch Entities to chase down Kevin with me. As soon as the storm starts, I’ll lead them to the outskirts of those four islands and wait for orders."

Messi·Grion nodded. "Then we’ll see. The biggest advantage of these Eldritch Entities is that they won’t be hunted by Eldritch Giants while moving through the storm. Once we find Kevin, you need to locate him right away and hold him down. The Grion family will arrive after you and finish the fight."

With that, Messi·Grion turned to look at Sindra and Darius behind him.

"You two are Elite fighters. You need to charge into battle right away, understand?"

Darius and Sindra both frowned at that.

Ever since Messi·Grion took command of this operation, they had been in a very passive position.

Darius cleared his throat and quietly explained, "Lord Messi, The Eye of Tarot has quite a few fleets in the First Sea Area that can join the operation. I think I could serve as the overall commander for those teams."

Messi·Grion glanced at Darius. "What’s there to command among the Survivors in the First Sea Area? They’re just a bunch of rabble."

Darius wanted to argue, but suddenly seven figures stepped out from behind Messi·Grion.

Each of them gave off an aura that was no weaker than Draven or the Black Knight Aaron.

Seeing this, Darius immediately shut his mouth and stopped arguing.

Beside him, Sindra was also intimidated by the presence of those seven people.

The Black Knight Aaron and Draven looked defiantly at the seven approaching figures.

But when the big man at the front passed by them, he snorted and said, "Move."

The moment he spoke, the Black Knight Aaron and Draven were thrown into the air like they had been hit by a speeding train.

Watching this, Sindra’s eyes widened. "Lord Messi, who are these seven?"

Messi·Grion took a sip of the red wine in his glass and smiled. "They are the Grion family’s Third Exploration Team. I specially called them back from the Second Sea Area for this operation. Each of them has the strength to break into the top ten of the Second Sea Area’s combat rankings."

"Compared to fighters like them, do you really think you’re qualified to sit back and command?"

Darius’s face turned pale. He opened his mouth but couldn’t say a word. He just stood there, head down, sighing.

Sindra smiled charmingly and responded in a sweet voice, "Well then, just let me have some fun taking care of Kevin and his friends."

Just then, the Black Knight Aaron and Draven climbed back onto the deck.

The Black Knight Aaron wiped the water off his clothes and said defiantly, "To surround Kevin, we don’t just need top-tier fighters. We also need a lot of manpower. Lord Messi, please reconsider."

Messi·Grion let out a cold snort. "Justin’s swarm of bugs is more than enough for scouting. Instead of pulling Survivor teams into a direct fight with Kevin’s fleet, you should focus on turning them into our intelligence network - getting them to pass us information in time."

His voice turned icy as he continued. "And let me make this clear again: the Grion family has absolute command over this operation. You will obey. Otherwise..."

The moment he finished speaking, the sound of cannon fire roared from behind him.

Shell after shell blasted the sky above a distant island. A small mountain on the island was flattened in seconds, engulfed in flames.

Seeing the sheer firepower of the Grion family’s cruise ship, everyone shut their mouths and said nothing.

Even Justin, standing on the shore, stared at Messi·Grion with a dark expression, grinding his teeth. "Damn Grion family. Just you wait. Destroying Lord Soros’s territory makes you just as guilty."

With that, Justin turned and walked into a cave at the center of the island.

Inside the cave, a six-pointed magic circle suddenly lit up.

Justin felt a terrifying shadow of an evil god appear in his mind.

The voice of the evil god Soros soon echoed in his head.

"Justin, you are my agent in the First Sea Area, and also my vessel. But your weakness has brought me great shame."

"Coincidentally, this island group used to be the lab where I raised my previous vessel. Every island holds a number of Eldritch Artifacts and potions."

"Since my clans are still gathering here, you should at least use these resources to strengthen yourself. If you lose to Kevin again next time, your fate will be very grim."

Hearing Soros’s threat, Justin trembled all over. He suddenly fell to his knees and kowtowed repeatedly. "Lord Soros, I will definitely accomplish your goal. Give me this chance to prove myself."

"You only have one chance." The evil god Soros’s voice faded, and the six-pointed magic circle in the cave went dark.

Justin knelt on the ground, sweat dripping from his forehead.

Only after he was sure the evil god Soros had completely left did he grit his teeth, his face twisted with rage, and roar, "Kevin, I will kill you!"

At the same time, above the waters around the "Daddy" Cannon, a carrier aircraft and a man standing on a flying sword were cutting through the sky side by side.

Kevin sat in the cockpit, scanning the surroundings while checking the radar on the screen.

After two hours of searching, they had passed over more than twenty islands.

But most of them were deserted. A few islands had Eldritch Entities lurking on them, but the numbers were very small - nowhere near the scale of an evil god’s clan.

"Damn it. Are there really this few evil god clans in this part of the sea?"

Kevin couldn’t help but complain. "The evil gods in the First Sea Area really need to step up their game."

He turned to look at Bruce Lee flying beside him.

That guy had been following the carrier aircraft on his flying sword the whole way.

Compared to his skill with the flying sword, Bruce Lee’s mental power was even more impressive.

According to Bruce Lee, his mental power - what the Easterners called "divine sense" - was basically a spiritual radar.

The most basic use of divine sense was to scan the surrounding environment and detect things.

And Bruce Lee’s divine sense covered an astonishing range of about fifteen kilometers in every direction.

Within that range, nothing - not a single blade of grass or a single tree - could escape his divine sense scan.

Several of the islands they found had been spotted by him first.

Kevin was more than a little jealous of that ability.

Sure, divine sense couldn’t compare to a [Navigator] that could track the coordinates of all Survivors within a two-thousand-five-hundred-kilometer radius, but it was incredibly detailed. It was like having a God’s Eye view of everything close by.

That kind of ability was perfect for small-scale battles.

Kevin rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

It was a real shame Bruce Lee couldn’t become his covenant-bearer.

If he could, Kevin would pay any price to bring him into the team.

Bruce Lee hadn’t passed Kevin’s trust test yet, so Kevin decided to keep him as a temporary member of the "Daddy" Cannon - not an official part of the crew.

With that thought, Kevin opened the cockpit.

The strong wind whipped his hair around.

"Come on in and take a break," Kevin said, waving at Bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee was about to say no, but when he saw Kevin pull out a burger from somewhere, his stomach started growling.
