Bound to the eldritch Sea: SSS-Tier Navigator
Chapter 154: Approaching the Black CurtainChapter 154: Chapter 154: Approaching the Black Curtain
Kevin spread his hands. "Of course. Don’t you know? Other factions are targeting me now. Since they want to take control of the islands and isolate me, then I’ll make sure they don’t get to kill a single Eldritch monster."
Lilith’s face turned pale when she heard that. "You really are ruthless."
Kevin did not waste any time and made his second request.
"I want the sea passage leading to the Second Sea Area to open at the same time the storm begins in a few days. I don’t want to waste any more time in the First Sea Area."
Lilith and Anne looked at each other, then nodded.
"We’ll pass your request on to the two masters. Go back and wait for good news."
Kevin turned around and left.
Just before he went away, Lilith suddenly called out to him.
"Kevin."
Kevin stopped. "What is it?"
Lilith opened her mouth, and her voice became softer.
"Stay alive. Don’t die. I’m still waiting to get rich with you."
Two days later, countless ships were lined up along the shores of the four largest islands in the central part of the First Sea Area. The sight was truly impressive.
Bruce Lee looked out at the distant sea, deep in thought.
"Why aren’t they here yet?"
Sunny walked over with a cigarette in his mouth and reminded him, "Captain, you don’t really plan to take Kevin and his people in, do you?"
Bruce Lee nodded. "Since I’m the leader of the Aetherian Alliance, then I make the rules within Aetherian territory."
Sunny looked like he had expected this. He sighed.
"I knew you’d say that. Honestly, I hope those guys don’t come."
Bruce Lee gave Sunny a sideways glance.
"The equipment you’re wearing was all given to you by Kevin’s people. Show a little gratitude, will you?"
At that moment, Banner slowly walked over and tried to calm them down.
"Stop arguing. It looks like Kevin and his people aren’t coming."
Bruce Lee frowned. "What about the other three islands?"
Banner shook his head.
"So far, no one has spotted Kevin’s fleet. It seems they don’t plan to take shelter on any of these four islands."
Banner sighed.
"I don’t know what Kevin is planning, but with a natural disaster like the storm and terrifying creatures like Eldritch monsters, it’s very dangerous not to dock somewhere safe on land. Maybe they found a better shelter somewhere we don’t know about."
On another island, the entire beach was filled with girls in bikinis.
They were sexy and charming, enjoying the evening breeze by the sea.
Navea lay on a beach chair near the shore, wearing sunglasses as she quietly waited for nightfall.
Suddenly, two intelligence agents approached from behind her.
"Still no news about Kevin?" Navea asked, taking off her sunglasses with a frown.
The two agents looked at each other awkwardly.
Navea snorted. "At a time like this, he’s still deliberately avoiding the four largest islands along the route. I’d like to see what kind of place he can find to hide from the storm and the Eldritch monsters."
Then her eyes shifted slightly as she gave an order.
"Keep an eye on the other three islands. If anyone dares to take Kevin in, condemn them immediately. Then join forces with the other major fleet alliances and attack them."
The agents nodded and left.
Navea put her sunglasses back on and lazily leaned into her chair.
Kevin, you can’t afford the price of rejecting me.
While the various factions prepared for the coming storm, on a small island in the middle of a distant sea, the Grion Family, Darius, Sindra, and the others were gathered together.
This island was closer to the later part of the First Sea Area’s sea route than the four islands controlled by the four major factions.
Because of that, once the storm arrived, the islands controlled by the four major factions would take the first wave of the impact.
By the time the storm reached this small island, the Grion Family and the others would only need to deal with a few Eldritch monsters that had slipped through.
For the Grion Family, who had lived in the Second Sea Area for many years, such a battle was hardly a challenge.
Messi Grion took a sip of coffee and spoke in a low voice.
"I didn’t expect the geography of this sea to remain exactly the same after we returned to the First Sea Area. We visitors from the Second Sea Area have much more accurate sea charts."
At this point, Messi Grion’s expression darkened. He said coldly, "So even if Kevin breaks through the blockade around the four islands, we can still dig his grave right here."
Darius smiled and quickly agreed. "Lord Messi is truly far-sighted. However, the wind is getting stronger, and Kevin still hasn’t appeared anywhere near the four islands."
Sindra nodded, looking worried. "Kevin seems to have disappeared. Apart from seeing his name on the rankings every day, none of the Survivors knows where he is."
Messi Grion put down his cup and snorted. "Don’t worry. Justin has already surrounded the four islands with the evil god’s spawn army. The moment Kevin and his people appear in the waters around the islands, we’ll know."
"Besides, the Grion Family’s third exploration team is also patrolling those waters. They can support Justin at any time."
As he spoke, Messi Grion glanced at Aaron and Draven, who were sitting in the corner. He sneered.
"The Grion Family’s exploration teams are in a completely different league from some black knight and Lone Wolf."
Messi Grion had humiliated them in front of everyone. Darius and Sindra quickly grabbed Aaron and Draven by the hands, afraid that they would lose their tempers and offend Messi Grion.
But the hatred in Aaron and Draven’s eyes had already grown impossible to hide.
They quickly stood up and said in a low voice, "Since the battle is about to begin, we should go and provide support."
With that, they turned and left.
If they stayed beside Messi Grion any longer, they might defect on the spot.
"Useless trash," Messi Grion muttered with a mocking snort.
Aaron and Draven both heard him.
They paused for a moment, but in the end, they did not turn around to argue. They continued forward without looking back and boarded a ship heading toward the four islands.
Before long, night had completely fallen.
Eerie cries echoed endlessly across the waters surrounding the four islands.
As the sea wind grew stronger, the cries became more terrifying.
Some Survivors with weak wills had not even seen the Eldritch Entities yet, but the sounds alone had already sent their Sanity plunging.
Justin wandered through the waters around the four islands with three Kings of the Eldritch and a group of Eldritch Entities of all shapes and sizes.
He kept searching, but his patience was quickly running out.
After circling the four islands three times, Justin finally roared in anger, "Damn it! What are Kevin and his people doing? Why are they taking so long?"
He then looked up at the distant Black Curtain.
As he stared at the thick fog that hid everything beyond it, his gaze grew sharper.
The storm had arrived.
On the island controlled by the Aetherian Alliance, the ships anchored along the shore suddenly began to tilt.
The strong winds struck without warning. Several small ships were overturned on the spot, smashing against the shore and breaking into pieces of wood.
Bruce Lee stood in a ditch that had been dug in advance. His expression was grim.
"Why is this storm so much stronger than the last one?"
Banner looked equally serious. "A Survivor with a weather-related Talent just released some information. The wind has reached Level Sixteen. This is an extremely powerful hurricane."
As Banner explained the storm’s strength, another section of a ship’s roof was torn off by the wind.
Seeing this, Bruce Lee instinctively sent Kevin a message.
"Where are you? Why haven’t you come to the four main islands for shelter? This storm is three levels stronger than the last one."
Kevin replied soon afterward with a smiling emoji.
"We’re perfectly safe. Enjoy your vacation."
When Bruce Lee saw the message, he was so angry that he immediately closed the chat window.
"Who the hell is on vacation? We’re trying to survive!"
Meanwhile, Hulk stood along the island’s shore.
He illuminated half the island like the sun. Even the dark clouds and powerful winds could not block the light and heat radiating from his body.
The storm winds weakened rapidly whenever they reached Hulk, overcome by the terrifying heat surrounding him.
The Survivors following Hulk hid behind him. With happy smiles on their faces, they raised their glasses and celebrated their dinner.
Stark stood some distance away, watching Hulk with a cold expression. He said worriedly, "Captain’s powers are growing stronger and stronger. If he ever loses control, I can’t imagine how terrible it would be."
He then raised his wrist and sent an order to all members of the Great Ship Alliance:
"The storm has begun. If you encounter Kevin’s fleet, refuse to let them land."
Stark snorted coldly. "Since they refuse to help Captain deal with this threat, we have no reason to support them when they’re being targeted. Let them fend for themselves."
While the major factions prepared for the storm, the Daddy Cannon appeared directly in front of the Black Curtain.
Kevin and the girls stood at the bow, staring grimly at the Black Curtain as it began to collapse.
Only after observing it from such a close distance did Kevin realize that the so-called strong winds were actually caused by energy leaking through the cracks in the Black Curtain.
The terrifying energy formed hurricanes across the sea, sending them toward the distant horizon like giant waves.
As this energy continued to pour out, enormous figures slowly began to emerge from within the Black Curtain.
Seeing this, Kevin said in a low voice, "Those things are about to come out."
He raised his hand and summoned a swarm of drones across the sky.
However, these drones looked far more advanced than before. Their bodies resembled Transformers, and each one looked like a small armored mech warrior.
