Bound to the eldritch Sea: SSS-Tier Navigator
Chapter 155: Searching for KevinChapter 155: Chapter 155: Searching for Kevin
Kevin did not need to use any mental energy to control them.
He only had to communicate with them silently in his mind and give them orders. The drones immediately spread out, flying along both sides of the Black Curtain.
"Monitor every giant Eldritch creature," Kevin ordered. "Do not fight them head-on. Wait for us to arrive before taking action."
After that, Kevin returned to the control room and called out to Toti.
"Let’s go. It’s time to begin our hunt."
"Got it!" Toti shouted. He spun the wheel hard, and the Daddy Cannon turned with him, heading toward the distance.
Soon, one huge Eldritch creature after another crawled out through the cracks that were releasing the hurricanes.
Their bodies were huge, and they moved slowly. Every time they stretched out a leg or an arm, they forced the crack that was releasing the storm winds to widen even more.
When the first giant Eldritch creature finally crawled out of the Black Curtain, Kevin realized that these creatures were twice as large as the ones from the previous storm.
If the Eldritch creatures from the last storm were like skyscrapers, then the terrifying giant in front of Kevin was beyond comparison with any building made by humans.
Kevin knew exactly why this was happening.
To open the Sea Eye leading to the Second Sea Area, the two Old Ones had gathered the energy of five storms and released it all at once.
Because of that, this wave of giant Eldritch creatures would have five times the number and five times the power of the first wave.
Naturally, the storm itself was also five times stronger.
However, no matter how fiercely the wind howled, Kevin’s Daddy Cannon continued forward steadily across the terrifying sea without shaking at all.
"Nice work." Kevin patted the ship’s wheel.
A mechanical voice immediately sounded inside the control room.
"Always happy to serve you, my lord."
"Toti, who were you trying to fool just now? I was the one driving the ship, but you were gritting your teeth and pretending to work hard," the voice added.
Toti had been exposed. He laughed awkwardly. "Sorry, Jarvis. I’m still not used to it."
Jarvis sounded even more proud. "Hmph. With the great Jarvis controlling the Daddy Cannon, you will be out of a job from now on. Understand?"
Toti laughed again, patting Kevin on the shoulder as he nodded. "Fine, I can retire right now. But who is going to pay my retirement money?"
Kevin gave Toti an annoyed look, then turned and walked toward the combat platform on top of the cabin.
Amelia and the others were already fully prepared for battle.
"Are we taking down this one first?" Amelia asked.
Kevin nodded. Then he tapped the railing in front of him.
"Jarvis, let’s first see how tough that thing’s skin is."
"At once, my lord," Jarvis replied.
A missile launcher rose from the center of the combat platform. A massive missile appeared in front of everyone.
Kevin looked at the symbol on the missile—a Satan-like figure—and the corner of his mouth twitched.
It was the "Devil Satan", a tactical nuclear weapon. One missile was enough to destroy a small town.
Kevin had created it using his newly upgraded Talent, Father of Cyber.
He had planned to save it for an emergency, but Jarvis had used this ultimate weapon right at the start.
Before Kevin could stop him, the "Devil Satan" shot forward, leaving a long trail of fire behind it. It flew toward the newly opened crack beneath the Black Curtain.
The giant Eldritch creature had just forced its way through the crack and steadied itself when it suddenly felt a terrifying pressure.
It looked up and saw a streak of fire rushing closer and closer.
Then came a deafening boom.
A huge mushroom cloud rose in front of the Black Curtain.
The massive cloud of fire rose hundreds of meters into the air. A powerful shockwave, wrapped in burning heat, spread toward the Daddy Cannon in an instant.
Kevin quickly slapped the railing.
Jarvis let out a pained cry.
A moment later, an electromagnetic shield rose in front of the Daddy Cannon.
The terrible force crashed into the ship, but the shield blocked it and pushed the energy away in every direction.
Even so, the Daddy Cannon was forced backward by the impact. It drifted for almost two kilometers before finally stabilizing and turning its bow back into position.
The girls had been so frightened by the shockwave that they all crouched down.
Once the impact passed, they quickly stood up and looked toward the center of the explosion.
The mushroom cloud was still burning.
But the giant Eldritch creature that had been hit by the tactical nuclear missile was still standing in front of the crack in the Black Curtain.
Half of its body had been blown apart by the "Devil Satan." One leg, one arm, and part of its stomach were torn open, exposing bone and flesh.
Through the horrible wound, Kevin could even see the crystal core inside its body, glowing with enormous power.
"Looks like the crystal core is their weak point," Kevin said. "One tactical nuclear missile isn’t enough to kill it completely."
After saying this, Kevin let out a sigh.
Then he stepped forward. A Teleportation Spell Rune suddenly lit up beneath his feet.
When Kevin appeared again, he was already directly in front of the Black Curtain.
Standing on the Wheels of Flame & Wind, Kevin hovered in midair.
The huge mushroom cloud hid his body, so the Eldritch creature did not notice him.
Kevin tightened his grip on the Lance of Longinus and threw it.
The lance flew at a tricky angle, skillfully passing around the Eldritch creature’s body before striking its crystal core.
Crack! Crack!
The sound of shattering glass rang out.
The Eldritch creature had been completely silent before, but now it let out a painful roar.
Its pain spread through the Black Curtain. The Eldritch creatures fighting to crawl out became completely enraged.
Kevin looked at the Black Curtain ahead. It was almost being forced apart by the creatures inside.
Another Teleportation Spell Rune lit up beneath his feet.
In a flash, he returned to the combat platform of the Daddy Cannon.
The long-range teleportation was the main method of movement Kevin had prepared over the past few days.
He had engraved Teleportation Spell Runes onto thousands of drones. Whenever an Eldritch creature was spotted, Kevin could immediately bring his companions there to hunt it down.
The Black Curtain was more than a thousand miles from the four islands. At their current speed, it would take the Eldritch creatures at least a day to reach the islands.
With that much time, Kevin was confident that they would not miss a single Eldritch creature.
At that moment, another crack opened in a different part of the Black Curtain nearby. Another Eldritch creature stepped into the terrifying sea.
Then the crack that had just been hit by the "Devil Satan" widened again.
Two even larger Eldritch creatures crawled out side by side.
Seeing this, Kevin immediately ordered Jarvis to speed up and retreat.
"Wait until they separate. Then we’ll hunt them down one at a time."
Jarvis reacted quickly.
The Daddy Cannon went full speed ahead. Using the storm winds, it quickly escaped the waters in front of the Black Curtain at a speed of over fifty knots.
Time passed second by second.
Twelve full hours had passed since the storm began.
The four large ship alliances stationed on the islands, waiting for the Eldritch creatures to attack, had entered emergency combat mode.
Every Survivor with strong combat ability was now guarding the outer edge of the islands, ready to fight at any moment.
Even the capable Survivors from the Feminist Alliance had picked up their weapons. They stared at the distant shoreline with serious expressions.
Navea held a pair of binoculars and kept watching the sea in the distance.
As the storm drew closer and grew stronger, a smile slowly appeared on her face.
"Looks like Kevin and his group never reached these four islands. Good. They’ll be attacked by the Eldritch Entities before we are. Then I’ll wait for him to regret it and come back begging me for help."
As she spoke, Navea licked her lips, and a faint blush appeared on her face.
"When that time comes, how should I make him serve me? First, I’ll make him strip naked and scrub himself with steel wool right in front of me."
Meanwhile, in the latter half of the First Sea Area...
Messi Grion had returned to the Grion family’s cruise ship.
He sat in the meeting room, staring darkly at everyone present.
"Are you all useless? You still haven’t found any trace of Kevin."
Darius and Sindra both wiped the sweat from their foreheads.
They also found it hard to believe.
Darius was especially confused. The force controlling the Fallen Alliance near the four islands was the Eye of Tarot.
A group that could secretly control an entire alliance was now unable to find Kevin’s location. Even Darius found that unbelievable.
"Maybe they really took shelter on one of the smaller islands farther back," Sindra said quietly.
Messi Grion’s face darkened. He slammed his hand on the table.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Based on the Eldritch creatures’ speed, the Survivor fleets still out at sea should have already run into them. But look at the World Channel. Every fleet is only talking about how to survive the storm. No group has said they were attacked by Eldritch creatures. That’s not normal!"
Darius frowned as he worked out the timing.
He was also confused by Messi Grion’s question.
"Could it be that this storm is much stronger than usual? Maybe the Eldritch creatures released by the Black Curtain are moving differently this time, so we can’t judge them by the old pattern?"
Messi Grion glared at Darius as if he were an idiot.
"Are you stupid? I’ve survived in the First Sea Area for two years. I know the Eldritch creatures’ behavior after every storm better than you do."
Then Messi Grion picked up his radio and gave an order.
"All Grion family scouting teams, listen up. Cancel your patrols around the four islands. Head to the front half of the First Sea Area immediately. Find out what is happening with the Eldritch creatures. And do your best to locate Kevin’s group."
After receiving confirmation, Messi Grion turned to Darius and spoke coldly.
"I know you can contact Justin. Tell him not to guard the four islands anymore. Have his people search for the Eldritch creatures and Kevin’s location too. I refuse to believe Kevin and his group can just disappear in this ocean."
