Chapter 190: Chapter 190: Meatshields

Hearing him, King Velzad’s heart plummeted instantly into his stomach.

"What do you mean they are here? Give us the exact coordinates, Commander!"

Tyran slowly looked up at Velzad with hollow, lifeless eyes.

He swallowed hard, before replying:

"King Velzad... the dark fleet dropped out of transit directly above Eximious -22 just three minutes ago. We just lost all communication with your homeworld. The orbital sensors confirmed a total celestial collapse. A concentrated energy beam pierced the planetary core. I.. i think Eximious has been completely erased from the star map."

Crash!

The crystal goblet slipped from Velzad’s trembling hand.

It shattered loudly against the marble floor, the sweet red wine spilling like fresh blood across the pristine stone.

Velzad fell to his knees, his mind entirely unable to process the instant annihilation of his home and his billions of citizens.

Looking back at King Ode, Tyran continued:

"There are three LORD class dreadnoughts. They did not even deploy their armies. A single blast from their main cannons shattered your planetary shields like fragile glass. And the intercepted communications from the Vanguard... they confirmed the Emperor himself is leading the armada. Furthermore, our sensors recorded a massive energy spike moments prior. They completely vaporized a 500m tall space leviathan on their way here with a single strike."

Ode staggered backward.

The color entirely drained from his face as his legs threatened to give out.

"Where... where are they heading next?"

"En, they are currently adjusting their cosmic trajectory,. They are coming straight for Eximious -33, my King. They will be in our atmosphere in less than 10 minutes."

The grand hall, previously filled with celebratory cheers and grand promises of freedom, instantly plunged into a suffocating silence.

King Ode looked desperately at the towering, untouched birthday cake, and then at his terrified great granddaughter who was now crying in the corner.

Their impenetrable walls, their combined military fleets, and their months of careful preparation meant absolutely nothing.

The god of destruction had already arrived, and he was bringing the apocalypse with him.

"We are doomed."

"Oh Lord! They have LORD class warships. How are we going to survive this?"

"We should surrender before he blow up another life planet."

"Yes. He is a merciless tyrant. He just annihilated billions without batting an eye."

The terrified whispers of the World Kings were suddenly broken by a small, trembling voice.

"I can stop them, Great grandfather."

Everyone turned to look at little Lenora. She had wiped away her tears. Her small hands were clenched into tight fists, and her newly awakened Dominator Core pulsed with a faint, ethereal blue light beneath her delicate skin.

"Lenora, stay back!" King Ode roared. "The Royal Guard will evacuate you to the deep bunkers!"

Lenora shook her little head.

"No, no. The bunkers will not save us, great grandpa. I have read the forbidden ancient texts in the Royal Library. Those texts prove that true Dominators existed eons ago. There is a secret method written in the margins. It is a way to overload and detonate a newborn Dominator Core. The resulting cosmic blast would create a massive black hole. It will consume their Zenith’s fleet completely."

"WHAAAAT! NOOO!"

Queen Seraphina covered her mouth in horror.

"You are talking about sacrificing your own life, child!" She cried out.

"But It is the only way to save our civilization, my queen. Let me do this. Let my core be the shield that protects our people."

"Absolutely not!" Ode roared stepping beside her protectively. "I will not sacrifice my own blood to appease an outlander tyrant! You are the only future of our Freedom Alliance, Lenora! I completely refuse to let you die!"

Lenora cried even harder,

"But Great grandfather, they have LORD class starships. We cannot fight a god."

"Then we will drown that god in blood!" Ode bellowed, turning his furious gaze toward the remaining World Kings and the stunned Supreme Commander.

"Do not just stand there weeping! We still have the combined military fleets of our forty worlds! Mobilize every single ship! Activate every soldier, every mercenary, and every civilian militia across the entire Outer Eximious!"

"Are you entirely mad, Ode? You know you are sending billions to a meaningless slaughter!" King Velzad shouted, still kneeling on the floor in grief over his destroyed planet.

"Incorrect. I am building an impenetrable wall of flesh and steel! If the Zenith Vanguard wants to reach this planet, they will have to chew through millions of our ships first. We will overwhelm Neo Godson with sheer, unimaginable numbers. And if those soldiers cannot win, they will serve as meatshields to buy us enough time to arm the planetary superweapons. We will fight the Zenith Empire until our absolute last breath! Now, go and give out the orders!"

Within seconds, the most draconian emergency draft in the history of the Outer Eximious was broadcast across the 39 remaining sovereign worlds.

Martial law was declared with zero exceptions. Local enforcers and royal guards kicked down the doors of civilian homes, dragging people into the streets.

Over 14 billion citizens, ranging from terrified twelve-year-old children to frail men in their seventies, were violently forcibly conscripted.

They were handed low-grade plasma rifles and shoved onto massive transport shuttles under the absolute threat of immediate execution for treason.

"Move! Move! Get to the transports! The enemies are coming! If you do not fight, you will die anyway!"

Up in the space above the capital planet,

flash after blinding flash illuminated the exosphere as the unified naval armada of the Freedom Alliance arrived.

However, this was a desperate wall of metal.

Over 3 million civilian cargo freighters, retrofitted mining rigs, and garbage haulers were forcibly parked in a tight, overlapping blockade. Their captains were ordered to shut down their engines, effectively trapping them in space as literal meatshields.

"Captain, are we going to die as ants? If the Zenith Empire is so bad then what would be the definition of Freedom Alliance who are using as meatshields?" one of the crewmembers asked.

The captain could only utter 3 words.

"I Don’t Know."
