Chapter 196: Chapter 196: Myria

What else was there to choose?

The remaining World Kings, after witnessing Neo’s terrifying transformation mid-battle, were completely frozen in shock.

One moment, the Zenith Emperor seemed to be losing, but in the very next moment, he was dominating the battlefield with absolute strength.

That was the trait of a true God.

So naturally, surrender became their only option.

But it was not an easy or swift process.

The integration and reshuffling of the Kings’ positions took days, if not weeks.

Neo allowed himself to have some rest and consolidate his power in the Eximious Domain.

Gradually, his territory was increasing, along with the number of his subjects and warriors.

It was his duty to give them a sustainable life.

So, structural development became an immediate priority.

He did not forget to check on Nina and his mother to make sure they were alright back on Planet Zenith.

Meanwhile, in the quiet corners of the galaxy, someone began to write a historical biography of the man who wanted to conquer it all.

Three Weeks Later

Somewhere in the frost-covered worlds, after defeating Helion, Myria became the rightful Empress of the Dark-Moon Empire.

She ruled the military with ruthless precision, conquering nearby solar sectors one after another.

In total, she commanded over 129 life-bearing planets.

The Dark-Moon Empire had a long, terrifying legacy, so the rapid expansion was not entirely surprising.

However, her unwavering dedication to the prosperity of the Empire earned her genuine respect and admiration from many of her subjects.

And today was one such day, when a Prince from the Stellar Dukedom arrived to ask for her hand in marriage.

The grand throne room of the Dark-Moon Empire was entirely encased in glacial ice, reflecting the cold, absolute authority of its new Empress. Myria sat upon the frosted obsidian throne, her chin resting lazily on her knuckles.

Standing directly at the center of the hall was Prince Uranos of the Stellar Dukedom. He was dressed in ridiculously extravagant golden armor, flanked by a dozen royal guards carrying chests of precious cosmic gems.

"Empress Myria, The Stellar Dukedom offers you an alliance of unprecedented scale. By joining our royal bloodlines in marriage, we can seamlessly unite our military fleets. Together, the Dark-Moon Empire and the Stellar Dukedom will become an unstoppable force across the northern sectors. You will not find a more powerful suitor in this entire quadrant. I offer you my hand, my wealth, and my armies."

Myria did not immediately respond. Her icy blue eyes stared right through the Prince.

While Uranos rambled about trade routes and military logistics, Myria found her thoughts completely drifting away from the frozen hall. A singular, overwhelming image kept resurfacing in her mind. She saw a towering figure adorned in shattered black armor, his abyssal eyes radiating the pure power of a collapsing galaxy. She remembered the face Emperor Neo. She remembered exactly how a single law taught by him changed her future completely.

Compared to him, the golden prince standing before her looked like a fragile, noisy insect.

"Are you quite finished, Prince Uranos?" Myria asked in terrifyingly calm voice, carrying a freezing edge that instantly lowered the temperature in the throne room.

Kaelen puffed out his chest, looking highly offended by her lack of enthusiasm.

"I have laid a magnificent future at your feet, Empress. I await your grateful acceptance."

"Grateful?"

The sound was utterly devoid of warmth.

"You march into my domain, wearing parade armor that has never seen a drop of real blood, and you expect me to fall at your feet? I have conquered 129 nine worlds, Uranos. I rule through absolute strength. What exactly do you offer me besides pretty words and shiny rocks?"

"I offer you the might of the Stellar Dukedom!" Uranos raised his voice, his face flushing bright red. "You’re forgetting we possess hundreds of thousands dreadnoughts! I am a Type 4 powerhouse! You desperately need my strength to secure your expanded borders!"

"No. You are incredibly weak," Myria stated bluntly, cutting off his frantic shouting.

"Excuse me?" Uranos gasped, taking a clumsy step backward.

"I have seen true strength, Prince Uranos," Myria whispered, leaning forward on her dark moon throne.

Neo’s dominant, godlike aura flashed brightly in her mind, making her heart beat wildly in her chest.

"I have witnessed a man who can shatter planets with his bare hands. He is a sovereign who does not ask for alliances, but simply takes the entire cosmos by the throat. Next to him, your power is nothing but a pathetic joke. Your dreadnoughts are mere toys."

"How dare you!" Uranos screamed, "I came here offering you supreme glory, you arrogant witch! You dare insult the Stellar Dukedom? You dare compare me to some fictional, barbaric warlord?"

"Do not ever raise your voice in my hall," Myria commanded coldly.

The temperature instantly plummeted to absolute zero.

Before the Prince could even draw his ceremonial sword, an invisible, crushing pressure slammed down upon his shoulders.

Uranos fell violently to his knees, the polished ice cracking heavily beneath his golden armor.

His royal guards also collapsed beside him, completely paralyzed by the terror radiating from the Empress.

Standing up from her throne, Myria said:

"You have completely wasted my time. Take your shiny rocks and crawl back to your Dukedom, Uranos. I belong to another. If you ever speak to me with such disrespect again, I will personally freeze your entire solar system. Get out of my sight."

Prince Uranos scrambled to his feet, his face pale with humiliation.

"You’ll regret this!"

Saying that, he turned and stormed out of the grand throne room.

Almost immediately, a side door hidden behind the obsidian throne slid open.

A regal woman wrapped in thick, silver-furred robes stepped into the freezing chamber.

She shared Myria’s piercing blue eyes, though hers were currently clouded with deep maternal concern and political anxiety.

"Was it truly necessary to humiliate him so thoroughly, Myria? The Stellar Dukedom commands a thousand worlds. We are expanding rapidly, yes, but we are very weak against a Dukedom. We did not need to make an enemy of Prince Uranos today."
