Building Interstellar Empire With Universal Synthesis
Chapter 208: For WarChapter 208: Chapter 208: For War
But of course those weapons needs to be tested.
Afterward:
The war room of the Imperial Palace was bathed in the cold, blue light of a massive holographic star map.
At the center of the obsidian table stood Emperor Neo, his gaze fixed on the glowing red clusters that marked hostile territories.
"Commanders, our weapons forged in isolation remain unproven. We need a battlefield to test our new arsenal. The Zenith Empire will expand its borders, and we will purge the surrounding sectors of any lingering threats."
Standing at attention around the table were his three highest-ranking Elven commanders.
Vaelar, the Warrior Commander, today wore heavy platinum armor that hummed faintly with cosmic energy.
He was a veteran who had risen by their emperor’s side.
To his right stood Aeliana, the Archery Commander. She was dressed in dark green leather that allowed for maximum mobility. Her eyes were incredibly sharp and calculating, trained to spot microscopic weaknesses from miles away.
On the left was Nyxaris, the Dark Mage. Shadows seemed to naturally cling to her ornate purple robes, and a dense aura of destructive magic constantly radiated from her fingertips.
Beep.
Neo activated a control panel on the table.
Instantly, he holographic map rapidly zoomed in on a massive, jagged star system bordered by volatile red energy signatures.
"Our primary target is the Noman Sector. It is currently ruled by a hostile Viscount Dominator known as Azekin. His forces, the Ironblood Legion, have been harassing our outer mining colonies. They rely heavily on brute strength, massive war beasts, and incredibly thick kinetic shields. They are the perfect test subjects for our new technology."
Vaelar slammed his armored fist against his chest.
"Your Majesty, my vanguard is ready. The Ironblood Legion thrives on overwhelming charges. But with our new Granite Nova Bulwark, my infantry can deploy impenetrable hard-light domes directly in their path. We will absorb their momentum, release the stored solar shockwaves to shatter their lines, and then crush whatever remains using the Adamantite Starblades. I am sure their kinetic shields will not survive a weapon holding the mass of a moon."
Neo nodded in approval,
"A solid anvil and hammer strategy, Vaelar. But Gorath commands thousands of heavily armored war beasts. Heavy infantry alone will suffer unnecessary casualties in a direct clash."
Aeliana stepped forward, her gaze locked intently on the tactical projections.
"That is exactly where my rangers will excel, My Emperor. The new Beastcore Piercers are the perfect countermeasure. I will position my elite snipers on the high moutain peaks and within our orbiting stealth frigates. Because the sentient mana projectiles autonomously track the life force of the enemy, we can completely ignore their physical armor. We will assassinate Gorath’s field officers and drop his war beasts before they even reach Vaelar’s vanguard."
Neo nodded again.
"I see you are going for precision and absolute efficiency Aeliana. However, Gorath’s central fortress is shielded by a planetary barrier powered by the planet’s own geothermal energy. So physical strikes and standard magic will take months to break through a shield of that magnitude."
"Haha..."
Nyxaris let out a low, dark chuckle. She raised a pale hand, tracing the holographic projection of the enemy fortress.
"That barrier is nothing but fragile glass to the Voidfire Annihilators, my Emperor. My battle mages will wield them to tear localized vacuums directly into their defensive grid. Once the shields are compromised, we will summon the dreadnoughts."
The Dark Mage looked up, her eyes gleaming with ruthless anticipation.
"We will mount the Eternal Judgment Engine onto the flagship. Easily a single concentrated strike of primordial fire will completely shatter Gorath’s stronghold and boil the geothermal vents beneath it. We will reduce their capital to ash in a matter of seconds."
Neo looked at his three commanders. Their strategies were flawless.
They perfectly combined the overwhelming power of the new weapons with their own unique tactical expertise. The Ironblood Horde had absolutely no idea what kind of supreme destruction was about to descend upon them.
"Then the plan is set. Mobilize the fleets and arm the legions. We will depart for the Noman Sector at dawn. It is time to show the universe the true might of the Zenith Empire."
His order was followed as an absolute decree.
The two LORD class starships, christened the Celestial Vanguard and the Astral Sovereign, cast colossal shadows across the planetary rings of Zenith.
HUMMMMMM!
Their World Engines pulsed with a terrifying rhythm, bleeding raw cosmic plasma into the vacuum of space.
Within the cavernous hangar bays, the overwhelming scale of the mobilization was breathtaking.
CHARGEEEEEE!
Tens of millions of soldiers marched in perfect, echoing synchrony. Heavily augmented Human infantry locked their
Adamantite Starblades into their magnetic holsters.
Dwarven shock troopers, renowned for their unyielding fortitude, strapped the metallic cubes of the Granite Nova Bulwarks to their heavy armor.
High above them on the loading bridges, Elven rangers moved like silent phantoms. They carefully calibrated their Beastcore Piercers, the sentient mana inside the rifles glowing with a hungry, predatory light.
Below the bridges, massive Beastkin warriors roared their ancient war chants, their voices shaking the reinforced bulkheads.
Even the gelatinous Slime battalions merged flawlessly with standard assault mechs, serving as living, self repairing neural links for the pilots.
Emperor Neo remained perfectly calm on the primary observation deck of the Zenith Vanguard.
He watched the organized chaos through the massive crystalline viewport.
Eternal flame blazed within in his pupils.
Clark then announced,
"All legions have successfully boarded, Your Majesty. The Titan class warships are fully aligned. Spatial coordinates for the Noman Sector are locked and verified."
Neo turned his gaze toward the endless sea of stars ahead.
"Initiate the Hyper space warp, Ghost."
"Yes, My Master."
Following his domineering command, the entire fleet hummed with blinding energy.
The space around the massive armada rippled and distorted, bending reality itself to accommodate their sheer mass.
BUZZZZZZZZZZZ!
In a single, deafening flash of violet light, the Zenith Empire fleet vanished from their home system.
