Chapter 237: Chapter 237: The God Of Hell

The Grave Leviathan held its suspended state for a fraction of a second before the conflicting energies of creation and entropy tore it apart entirely.

The beast shattered from the inside out. It did not explode with a deafening roar.

It simply dissolved into billions of harmless gray particles that drifted aimlessly into the endless vacuum of the Ashen Wastes.

Neo floated in the void. He watched the apex predator of the First Stratum become nothing more than dust. He lowered the Sunfire Judgment Blade, the intense hellfire and pristine silver light fading back into the dark metallic hilt.

The ten generals remained perfectly still, their armored bodies hovering near the exterior airlocks of the dreadnought. They were completely unharmed, but the sheer scale of the power they had just witnessed left them in stunned, reverent silence.

Neo turned his head toward the Ghost. He opened a direct communication channel to the bridge.

"Vektor, the sector is clear. Spin up the Void Piercer. Take us into the Second Stratum."

"At once, Emperor!" Vektor responded frantically over the comms.

The massive drilling spire on the front of the dreadnought began to rotate again. The runes ignited with blinding power, preparing to shatter the dimensional boundary leading to the Sea of Screaming Mercury.

But the drill never fired.

Without warning, the spinning metallic spire ground to a violent halt. The brilliant light of the runes flickered and died.

All across the, the auxiliary power systems failed completely. The engines shut down in unison, leaving the colossal warship entirely immobilized in the gray void.

Out in the vacuum, the ten generals suddenly dropped to their knees. They did not do this voluntarily. An invisible, incomprehensible weight slammed into their bodies, pinning them in place. Their thrusters screamed at maximum output, but they could not move a single inch.

Even the floating particles of ash around Neo stopped moving. Time itself seemed to freeze. The chaotic, grinding impacts of the dead planets ceased entirely.

The physical laws of the mortal universe had already been stripped away when they entered Hell. Now, the chaotic laws of the First Stratum were being overridden by something far more absolute.

All of a sudden, a figure stepped out of the gray nothingness directly in front of Neo.

The entity did not fly, nor did it use magic to hover. It simply walked forward on empty space, as if the vacuum of the abyss was a solid marble floor. Every time his boot struck the nothingness, a terrifying shockwave of pure conceptual weight rippled across the sector.

He was a towering humanoid figure clad in armor made of compressed, solidified darkness. A crown of burning black iron rested upon his head. His face was hidden behind a smooth, featureless visor of pale white bone.

He carried no weapons, yet his mere presence was infinitely more suffocating than the Grave Leviathan.

He was the King of Hell. He was the supreme warden appointed by the Prime Deities at the dawn of time, tasked with guarding the ultimate cosmic landfill.

"You have trespassed far enough, Emperor of the mortal realm," the King spoke.

His voice did not travel through soundwaves. It manifested directly into reality as an absolute truth, vibrating within the minds of every living soul in the sector.

"I am the Sovereign of the Abyss. The Prime Deities forged me from the bedrock of absolute law. You wield impressive parlor tricks, mortal. But your dragons and your divine flames have no jurisdiction here."

Neo stared at the King. His golden reptilian eyes narrowed slightly. He did not waste time with words.

Neo vanished.

He reappeared instantly behind the King, swinging the Sunfire Judgment Blade with enough concentrated force to cleave a galaxy in half. The blade struck the King directly on the back of his neck.

The result was impossible.

There was no explosion. There was no resistance. The divine energy of the Twin Ancestors simply ceased to exist the moment it touched the King’s armor.

The blade passed through the Sovereign as if he were a ghost, leaving absolutely zero damage behind.

The King did not even turn around.

"First Law of Hell," the King proclaimed, "The King cannot be harmed by foreign concepts."

The King slowly turned his head to look at Neo.

"Second Law of Hell," the King commanded. "All intruders must kneel before the Warden."

An apocalyptic pressure crashed down upon Neo. It was not gravity. It was the undeniable decree of the realm itself. The reality of Hell was physically forcing Neo to obey the command.

Neo felt his bones begin to creak. His draconic hellfire armor fractured, spiderweb cracks spreading across the chest plate. He was slowly being forced downward. Inside his soul, Eragon and Drogon roared in absolute fury, unleashing oceans of mana to fight back.

But their power was useless. They were trying to break a program while standing inside the simulation. The King held the master administrative privileges for the entire dimension.

"You cannot win this battle," the King stated coldly, "I do not use magic. I do not use physical force. I simply declare what happens, and the environment enforces my will. You are a biological error in my domain. It is time for you to be erased."

Blood dripped from the corner of Neo’s mouth. His body was trembling under the immense strain of resisting the absolute law.

But Neo did not look afraid. As he stared up at the featureless mask of the King, a cold, mocking smile slowly spread across his face.

"You think you are the first administrator I have dethroned? Your laws are absolute only because this dimension recognizes you as its master. But a dimension is just a collection of energy and data. And there is nothing in this universe I cannot consume."

Neo forcefully deactivated his hellfire armor. He sheathed the Sunfire Judgment Blade. He stopped fighting the crushing weight and instead stood completely upright, opening his arms wide to the toxic environment.

"Supreme Talent — Universal Synthesis."

The gray void violently shuddered.

Universal Synthesis was not a combat spell. It was the absolute pinnacle of Neo’s evolutionary potential. It allowed him to completely deconstruct the fundamental building blocks of a target and seamlessly merge them into his own DNA. He had used it to conquer elemental realms and absorb divine artifacts.

Now, he was targeting the entire metaphysical dimension of Hell itself.

A blinding vortex of prismatic light erupted from Neo’s chest. Thick, ethereal tethers of pure synthesis energy shot outward in every direction. The tethers ignored the King entirely. They plunged directly into the crushed husks of the dead planets, into the freezing vacuum of space, and into the very fabric of the absolute laws governing the realm.

The King of Hell stepped back, "What are you doing? You are intertwining your mortal soul with an infinite realm of toxic waste. You will tear your own consciousness apart!"

"I am rewriting the master code," Neo grit his teeth, blood pouring from his eyes and ears as the incomprehensible weight of Hell flooded into his mind.

The pain was beyond the threshold of divine comprehension. Neo was absorbing the conceptual history of ten million dead worlds. He was processing the agonizing screams of the Mercury Sea. He was downloading the architectural blueprints of the Tartarus Vault directly into his nervous system.

His mortal body began to dissolve. His skin turned translucent, revealing a nervous system made of pure, chaotic galaxies. But the Twin Ancestors acted as the ultimate anchors.

Eragon flooded Neo’s mind with the absolute light of creation, healing the mental damage as fast as it occurred. Drogon unleashed the dark entropy, destroying the toxic elements of the realm before they could poison Neo’s soul.

Trapped in this perfect loop of creation and destruction, Neo processed the infinite data of the Abyssal Trench in a matter of seconds.

The King of Hell finally realized the catastrophic danger. He raised both of his hands, summoning the full authority of his domain.

"Third Law of Hell! The intruder must perish immediately! Complete erasure!"

A beam of pure conceptual deletion fired from the King’s hands, striking Neo perfectly in the chest.

The beam passed straight through him.

Neo did not flinch. He did not die. The attack failed completely.

The King stared at his hands in absolute disbelief. "Impossible. My laws are absolute! You are an intruder!"

"I am no longer an intruder," Neo spoke. His voice no longer sounded like a mortal man. It sounded like the collective whisper of ten million dead worlds.

The process of Universal Synthesis reached one hundred percent.

A colossal shockwave of black and gold energy exploded from Neo’s body, washing over the entire First Stratum. The endless gray void instantly shifted color, turning into a deep, regal purple woven with threads of golden hellfire.

Far below, the Sea of Screaming Mercury went completely silent, its corrosive waves calming into a perfectly flat mirror.

At the very bottom of the abyss, the mechanical gears of the Tartarus Vault ground to a halt, awaiting new orders.

Neo lowered his arms. He opened his eyes. The golden reptilian slits were gone. His eyes were now endless, swirling voids of dark matter, containing the very essence of the Abyssal Trench.

He had successfully synthesized with the cosmic landfill. He had absorbed the structural laws of the realm and integrated them into his own existence.

He was no longer just the Emperor of the Zenith Vanguard.

Right now, he was the God of Hell.
