Building Interstellar Empire With Universal Synthesis
Chapter 247: Golden Fate UniverseChapter 247: Chapter 247: Golden Fate Universe
The little girl did not flinch when the God of Hell asked his question. She knelt within the glowing red boundaries of her crude summoning circle. Her pale face was stained with her own blood. She looked at the terrifying silhouette of fractured void before her and finally found her voice.
"I want you to slaughter the Architects of Destiny," she said.
Her voice was remarkably steady for a mortal child. She pointed a trembling finger toward the broken glass of her dimensional bubble.
"They rule the world of Aethelgard, they dictate every breath, every thought, and every tragedy. They decided my family was destined to die in a fire to serve as character development for a chosen hero. They decided I was destined to be a sacrifice for a greater plot. I reject their story. I want you to tear their script to pieces."
Neo tilted his head. The inverted black light in his eyes pulsed with dark amusement. He had conquered a universe governed by levels and systems. He had assimilated the Prime Deities. He had butchered the infinite leviathans of the Dark Realm. Now, a ten year old child was asking him to kill the authors of her reality.
"A universe governed by absolute narrative," Neo murmured. "How wonderfully arrogant. I accept your contract, little one. Lead the way."
The little girl nodded and pressed her bleeding palms flat against the stone floor. The crude summoning circle flared with violent crimson light. The magic attempted to latch onto Neo’s soul to pull him across the dimensional threshold.
Immediately, the spell began to scream.
"HUMMMMMMMMMM!"
The magical array was built to summon a demon or a lesser chaotic spirit. It was not built to transport a Type One Primordial Entity who had devoured half of the true cosmos.
So, The glowing runes cracked. The crimson light flickered and turned black. The spatial tunnel tearing through the fabric of the void began to violently buckle under the sheer metaphysical weight of Neo’s presence.
"Your door is too small," Neo stated flatly.
He looked down at the collapsing spatial rift. If he stepped through with his full, uncompressed presence, the sheer mass of his existence would instantly crush the little girl and shatter her entire universe like a fragile glass ornament.
He needed to adapt. He needed to compress infinity into a package that this new reality could safely digest.
Neo closed his eyes and activated Universal Synthesis. He took the infinite, sprawling ocean of dark matter and void energy within his body and forced it to condense. He folded his cosmic authority a billion times over, locking the overwhelming pressure of his God Core deep within the center of his soul. His shifting, terrifying silhouette of fractured void began to solidify.
He reformed his physical vessel. He built a body resembling his original human shape, though perfectly pale and radiating a suffocating aura of contained destruction.
He wore a simple black suit woven from the threads of the slaughtered leviathans. His eyes remained bottomless pools of inverted black light.
"Let us go," Neo commanded.
He stepped into the bleeding magic circle. The spatial tunnel groaned in agony but managed to hold together. The void around them warped, twisted, and finally snapped shut.
They fell through the space between realities. Neo observed the transition with keen interest. The barrier surrounding this new universe was entirely different from the Zenith Empire. His home universe possessed a rigid membrane of physical laws and dimensional walls.
This new universe was wrapped in millions of glowing golden threads. It looked like an endless cosmic loom. Every thread vibrated with a specific frequency, broadcasting concepts of fate, destiny, and predetermined action.
They breached the golden barrier.
Neo and the little girl materialized in the center of a sprawling, rain slicked cobblestone plaza.
Neo stood up to his full height and instantly felt the oppressive weight of the new world. He did not feel physical gravity. He felt conceptual gravity.
He looked up at the sky. There were no stars. The heavens were entirely obscured by massive, translucent clockwork gears continuously turning in silence. Golden threads rained down from the gears, attaching themselves invisibly to every building, every stone, and every living creature in the distance.
Neo extended his senses outward. He immediately recognized that the foundational rules of Aethelgard were utterly alien to everything he knew.
In his original universe, power was gained through leveling up, gathering cosmic energy, and mastering the laws of reality. But in this new universe, physics were merely suggestions. The true law of reality was Narrative Weight.
Gravity here did not pull objects down based on mass. Gravity pulled objects down based on their destined place in the world. A peasant felt heavier gravity than a king. A beggar was physically forced to walk with a stooped posture because the world dictated they were lesser.
Light did not travel in straight lines or waves. Light only illuminated things that were deemed important by the Architects of Destiny. The dark alleys of the city were not dark because of shadows. They were dark because the universe literally refused to acknowledge their existence.
"Welcome to the Capital of Providence," the little girl whispered.
She pointed toward a towering crystal spire in the center of the city.
"That is where the Architects write the world."
Neo stared at the crystal spire. The spire radiated an obnoxious, blinding golden light that felt remarkably similar to the arrogant glow of the Pantheon Hall. He despised it instantly. He could see millions of golden threads originating from the peak of the spire, weaving the lives of everyone in the city into a rigid, inescapable tapestry.
He looked down at his own hands. The golden threads of fate were attempting to attach themselves to his body. The universe of Aethelgard was trying to write him into its story. It was trying to assign him a role, a background, and a predetermined destiny.
The threads touched his black suit and instantly withered into gray ash.
Neo was the Epitome of Slaughter. He was a creature born from the absolute nothingness of the Dark Universe. He had no fate. He had no destiny. He was a walking anomaly that defied the very concept of a predetermined path. The universe of Aethelgard did not know what to do with him, so it treated him like a glitch.
Suddenly, the massive clockwork gears in the sky abruptly stopped turning.
The silence in the plaza became deafening. The golden threads hanging over the city vibrated violently, emitting a shrill, harmonic ringing sound that caused the little girl to cover her ears in pain.
"They know we are here," she whimpered, shrinking behind Neo’s legs. "The Fate Regulators are coming. They always come when someone deviates from the script."
Neo did not move. He simply waited with his hands resting casually in his pockets.
The air in front of them shimmered. Three figures stepped out of thin air, descending upon the cobblestone plaza. They did not walk. They floated exactly three inches above the ground, demonstrating their elevated status in the narrative of this world.
The Fate Regulators wore pristine white robes lined with gold. Their faces were entirely blank, lacking eyes, noses, or mouths. Instead of faces, they possessed flat, smooth surfaces displaying continuously scrolling text.
They were not living beings. They were physical manifestations of the world’s absolute laws, sent to correct errors in the story.
The Regulator in the center raised a hand holding a glowing golden quill. It pointed the quill directly at the little girl hiding behind Neo.
"Error detected. Designation Lyra Vonnegut. Your scheduled termination by fire was evaded. You have broken the holy script. Your existence is hereby revoked. You will be erased from the tapestry."
The voice was cold, mechanical, and devoid of any emotion.
The Regulator slashed the golden quill through the air. It did not cast a fireball. It did not swing a sword. It simply wrote a new law into reality.
A glowing line of text appeared in the air directly above the little girl.
It read: The child ceases to exist.
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
The little girl screamed as her hands began to turn translucent. The universe itself was commanded to forget her, and the universe was happily complying. Her physical form began to dissolve into floating golden particles.
Neo watched this display of conceptual magic with genuine fascination. This was not the brute force elemental magic of his home world. This was reality manipulation on a foundational level. The Architects of Destiny truly believed they were the absolute authors of existence.
Neo raised his right hand.
He did not cast a spell. He simply grabbed the glowing golden text hovering in the air.
The Fate Arbiters froze in place. The scrolling text on their blank faces glitched wildly. They had never encountered a being capable of physically touching a mandate of reality.
"A cute parlor trick. But I have slaughtered entities that existed before the concept of words was ever invented."
Neo squeezed his fist.
He activated Universal Synthesis, blending his Abyssal dark matter with the localized laws of this universe. He injected pure, unadulterated void energy directly into the golden text.
The mandate shattered like brittle glass.
"BOOOOOOM!"
The little girl gasped, falling to her knees as her physical form instantly solidified. The erasure was canceled. The absolute law of Aethelgard had been broken by an outsider.
The three Fate Regulators recoiled in unison. The text on their faces turned bright red, flashing the word ANOMALY over and over in an endless loop. They raised their golden quills in perfect synchronization, preparing to rewrite Neo’s existence out of reality.
"Do not bother," Neo whispered.
