Building The First Adventurer Guild In Another World
Chapter 330: Overlord PresenceThe ruined city had become utterly unrecognizable the moment the battle erupted. Entire streets vanished beneath explosions, while massive cracks spread across the ground like spiderwebs.
Broken towers leaned precariously, flames consumed collapsed buildings, and thick smoke billowed endlessly into the sky. Blood stained nearly every corner of the battlefield, and shattered weapons along with lifeless bodies littered the desolate roads. Yet, amidst all this devastation, what spread most rapidly across the battlefield was not fire.
It was fear. Pure fear.
And at the center of that fear stood Sage.
Floating calmly above the shattered streets, Sage commanded attention as gigantic magic circles spun around him without pause. The Mana surrounding him grew so dense that it visibly distorted the air from sheer pressure.
Countless glowing Mana streams flowed around his form like a vast network connecting him directly to the battlefield. Fire Mana surged violently beside gusts of wind while arcs of lightning crackled endlessly around him.
His hair danced wildly in response to the energy swirling about him, and his glowing eyes surveyed the chaos below with an unsettling calmness.
In that moment, Sage no longer resembled a mere Mage; he appeared as if he were the very ruler of this battleground.
Far below, several fighters clad in black stood frozen in place, their faces pale as they gazed upward in disbelief.
"How... how is he still casting this much?" one stammered.
"That amount of Mana is impossible..." another whispered.
"He hasn’t even slowed down..."
One enemy fighter swallowed hard and began to step back slowly. "No... this isn’t normal..."
The fear in their voices was palpable. Earlier, they had believed they could overwhelm Sage through sheer numbers. But now? That confidence lay shattered beyond repair.
Sage’s attacks no longer came from predictable angles; magic circles appeared everywhere, above, below, behind them, sometimes even right in front of their faces without warning or delay. There were no safe zones anymore.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, a group of black-clad elites rushed through ruined streets in an attempt to regroup with their remaining forces.
Unfortunately....
As soon as they turned a corner....
Several enormous fire magic circles materialized directly beneath them.
"What?!"
BOOOOOOM!
The street erupted violently into flames as shockwaves sent debris flying and engulfed them whole before they could react. Bodies disintegrated within the inferno before hitting solid ground.
Not far away, another enemy fighter desperately leaped across collapsing rooftops to escape this nightmare. His breath came in ragged gasps; his face was pale with dread after witnessing Sage effortlessly eliminate nearly thirty elite fighters by himself.
That monster, this being masquerading as a Mage, he wanted nothing more than to flee from its presence.
But it was too late, Sage had already noticed him.
Inside Sage’s glowing eyes, the enemy’s Mana flow stood out against the battlefield like a beacon in the dark. He slowly raised a finger, and a small lightning magic circle appeared right behind the fleeing enemy.
CRACK!
A lightning spear shot through the back of the enemy’s skull before he even realized what was happening. His lifeless body fell heavily from the rooftop.
Meanwhile, across another ruined section of the battlefield, Mina slammed her massive shield into an enemy warrior with such force that his body crumpled around it before he was blasted backward through a collapsing wall.
BOOOOM!
Dust erupted everywhere as Mina puffed out her cheeks proudly and shouted, "Petty Uncle Sage! Leave some enemies for us too!" Sage glanced over at her, rolling his eyes slightly. "You’re doing fine already." At this praise, Mina grinned smugly.
Nearby, Gregor swung his sword violently through the air.
SHIIIIING!
Three enormous compressed wind blades shot outward simultaneously, slicing through multiple enemies in an instant. Blood sprayed across the ruined street as broken bodies collapsed all around.
Breathing heavily, Gregor looked up at Sage again. Even now, he struggled to fully grasp what he was witnessing, Sage’s control had reached a terrifying level.
It wasn’t just strength or endless Mana; it was control, perfect control. Every spell landed precisely where Sage intended, every attack timed flawlessly. The movements of each enemy seemed entirely predictable under Sage’s glowing gaze. It felt less like watching someone fight and more like observing the battlefield itself obeying Sage’s will.
On another side of the battlefield, Brutus brought his giant hammer crashing down.
BOOOOOOM!
The ground collapsed beneath several enemies as shockwaves sent bodies flying across the ruins. Caelis quickly followed beside him, his sword flashing repeatedly to cut down foes attempting to flank Brutus from hidden angles.
They fought with incredible coordination but occasionally stole glances at Sage with expressions of awe and confusion because it had become clear, the difference was monumental; Sage fought on an entirely different level.
At the center of it all, Sage exhaled slowly as Mana surged endlessly through his Divine Grade Mana Veins. The volume of Mana flowing in and out of him was absurdly large yet he remained completely calm without any signs of fatigue.
Normally, multi-casting on this scale would have drained even powerful Mages long ago but not Sage; his Mana felt boundless as surrounding energy replenished him continuously.
In that moment, something clicked for Sage: power alone meant nothing, control was everything. A stronger spell wasted carelessly counted for less than a weaker spell executed perfectly. And right now, his mastery over control had reached an alarming height.
Suddenly, several elite enemies gathered atop a distant broken tower, they were clearly commanders and their expressions twisted in anger as they stared at Sage.
One finally roared defiantly: "We kill him together!"
The others nodded in agreement.
In an instant, over fifty elite fighters surged toward Sage from every direction. Some leaped down from rooftops, others emerged from underground tunnels, and a few launched ranged attacks from afar. The pressure in the air intensified dramatically. Even the Guild members watching from a distance felt their nerves fray. But Sage remained calm as he faced his approaching enemies.
With a faint smile, he remarked, "You all finally gathered together for me."
The expressions of the enemy fighters shifted sharply at his words.
Suddenly, the surrounding Mana quivered violently. In that moment, the battlefield transformed completely. Enormous magic circles erupted across the ruined city, hundreds of them, no—thousands.
The enemy fighters froze in shock as these magic circles filled the sky, enveloping buildings, streets, and even the ground itself. Fire circles spun alongside lightning circles while gusts of wind swirled chaotically throughout the area.
The pressure descending from above became unbearable. Guild members stared upward in stunned silence. Mina’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
"WOAH..." she breathed out.
Gregor’s mouth twitched slightly as he muttered, "That bastard really turned the battlefield into his playground..."
Sage extended one hand outward slowly. Instantly, all those countless magic circles activated in unison.
And hell broke loose.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The ruined city erupted in chaos as pillars of fire shot up like volcanic eruptions from every direction. Lightning bolts rained down endlessly while massive wind blades sliced through buildings and streets alike. Desperate screams filled the air as enemies scrambled to escape but it was too late.
Nowhere was safe anymore.
Magic circles appeared directly beneath fleeing foes and detonated instantly. Lightning spears skewered escaping fighters one after another while wind blades tore entire groups apart before they could regroup.
The battlefield had become Sage’s domain entirely; wherever he looked....
Destruction followed.
One enemy commander desperately raised a defensive barrier, but Sage quickly spotted its weak Mana point supporting it. A tiny lightning circle manifested beside it.
CRACK!
The barrier shattered immediately.
Before the commander could react..
A gigantic fire spear pierced straight through his chest.
BOOOOOOM!
His upper body disintegrated instantly.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, several elites tried to escape underground but were met with disaster when wind magic circles suddenly formed beneath them.
SHIIIIIIIIING!
Compressed winds exploded upward violently, ripping apart their tunnel and spraying blood across the broken earth below.
Meanwhile, Sage floated calmly above it all, controlling everything effortlessly, no wasted Mana or movements; there was no panic, only absolute domination.
Fear spread among the remaining enemies like wildfire now. Some began retreating desperately while others lost their will to fight altogether; one enemy even dropped his weapon in trembling disbelief.
"What kind of monster is this..." another murmured as he backed away slowly with wide eyes filled with dread.
"This isn’t just a Mage... He’s a disaster..."
Sage’s glowing eyes scanned the battlefield one last time. Just one enemy group remained, desperately holding their ground near the western ruins, about twenty elite fighters, all heavily injured.
With a calm demeanor, Sage raised his hand once more. Magic circles materialized silently around the enemy. Fire raged above them, lightning crackled behind, and wind swirled below. The remaining fighters exchanged glances filled with despair.
One of them let out a bitter laugh and said, "We’re dead..."
Sage’s expression stayed steady. Then, with a decisive motion, he closed his hand.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
In an instant, the entire western ruins vanished beneath a torrent of fire, lightning, and wind. The shockwave flattened nearby structures completely as flames shot hundreds of meters into the sky.
After several seconds...
Silence fell over the battlefield. The smoke began to drift apart across the devastated cityscape. Nothing remained; the final enemy group had been utterly annihilated.
