Sage and the others immediately turned around to see who was behind the voice.

Just a few paces behind them, seemingly emerging from the very tension that hung over the ruined city, stood Isis and his small entourage. Isis wore the same lazy, bored expression that made him appear more like a casual tourist than someone who had survived a deadly ordeal.

What truly shocked Sage, however, was the pristine condition of the men flanking this young man; their armor gleamed, their weapons were spotless, and they showed no signs of fatigue or injury, an anomaly amidst the factions currently struggling in the plaza.

Sage’s mind raced as he scrutinized this enigmatic youth, grappling with how to reconcile his boyish nonchalance with an unsettling aura that sent his heart racing. It was an instinctive warning signal that eluded precise categorization. Despite the surge of intensity twisting in his chest, Sage maintained a stoic expression, narrowing his eyes as he focused on Isis.

"Who are you?" Sage demanded, his tone cold and measured, laced with defensive hostility that clearly signaled he wasn’t in the mood for games.

Isis appeared unfazed by the sharpness in Sage’s voice or by how the surrounding executives subtly shifted their weight in preparation for an attack. Instead, he smiled softly, a slow expression devoid of malice, as he inclined his head with casual grace.

"You can call me Isis," he replied, his voice smooth and melodic, strikingly out of place. "I’ve heard many tales about your exploits, Guildmaster Sage. It’s genuinely an honor to meet you in person."

The unbothered confidence radiating from this youth left Sage momentarily speechless; his calculated suspicion wavered under the stranger’s complete lack of any discernible threat or malice. In response, Sage offered only a sharp nod while keeping his lips pressed into a thin line as he continued assessing the threat level posed by this immaculate squad before him.

Amused by their guarded reception, Isis chuckled softly before letting his golden-flecked eyes drift away from Sage to focus on Valeria, the imposing armored figure at Sage’s side. His smile widened slightly as genuine curiosity replaced some of his earlier boredom.

"You there... you have quite an interesting lineage," Isis remarked conversationally. "I like you quite a bit."

As soon as those words left his mouth, an icy stillness enveloped the area, rooting Sage and his companions to their spots as they struggled to process both the audacity and terrifying implications behind them.

ina reacted instantly; her grip tightened around Sage’s sleeve with white-knuckled intensity while her golden eyes widened with panic mixed with dark anticipation.

"Oh no, this guy is already dead," Mina whispered fiercely, her voice trembling with terror as it echoed in the quiet space. "Petty uncle Sage, he’s completely done for. He has no idea what he just did."

Sage looked down at the little girl, his brow furrowing in confusion despite the seriousness of the situation. He shifted his gaze between her and the smiling stranger.

"Why are you reacting like that?" he asked quietly, trying to grasp what rule had been broken to elicit such certainty about the man’s fate. Before Mina could respond, Vanthrice stepped in.

With a grim expression that betrayed his concern, Vanthrice moved closer to Sage and lowered his voice to a whisper that sent chills through the men nearby.

"Because the last person who casually declared their admiration for the Commander," he said, glancing nervously at Valeria’s still form, "was immediately castrated by her blade. His balls were fed to a stray pig before he could even finish screaming his regrets."

The impact of Vanthrice’s words was immediate and palpable among the men present; they froze in place, knees instinctively locking together as cold sweat broke out on their foreheads. A chilling dread coursed through them as they turned to stare at Valeria with wide eyes filled with unadulterated horror, suddenly seeing her as a formidable force capable of annihilating their very lineages.

Isis finally sensed the suffocating shift in atmosphere and noticed the defensive stances of the men around him. Realizing he had made a catastrophic mistake with his words, he waved his hands frantically through the air to clear up any misunderstandings before swords were drawn.

"Oh no! Please hold on! I didn’t mean it in any romantic or inappropriate way!" Isis exclaimed desperately, trying to diffuse the tension. "What I meant was that I deeply admire her incredible fighting style. I witnessed every chaotic moment of that battle across the ruined city and found her execution of moves quite extraordinary."

Instead of easing tensions, this clarification only left Sage and others more shocked than before. A wave of disbelief washed over them as Sage struggled to comprehend how Isis had managed to observe everything without being detected himself.

With recent enhancements from the System boosting his perception dramatically, allowing him to sense even microscopic vibrations, he couldn’t fathom how Isis had gone unnoticed.

Valeria herself wasn’t faring much better; her usually steady gaze widened slightly in surprise as she realized this seemingly carefree youth had slipped past even her keen instincts without triggering any alarms.

Oblivious or perhaps indifferent, to the existential dread swirling around him, Isis turned toward Valeria with a casual smile and tossed out a sentence that threatened to shake up their guild’s hierarchy entirely.

"How about it?" Isis asked, a relaxed smile playing on her lips. "Why not leave all this behind and come work for me instead? The benefits are fantastic."

Just as Sage felt the shock of her proposal morphing into defensive anger, his jaw tightening in preparation to deliver a sharp, definitive refusal on behalf of his knight, the very ground beneath them groaned in protest.

An intense earthquake erupted without warning, its violent force throwing weaker adventurers off their feet as the stone streets buckled and cracked beneath them.

Clouds of dust shot into the air as the shockwave surged through the remnants of the plaza. Sage and the others struggled to maintain their footing, channeling raw Mana into their legs just to stay upright against the chaotic tremors.

When the initial quake finally subsided enough for them to clear the debris from their eyes, they turned toward the epicenter of the disturbance.

What they saw left them speechless; the sheer scale of the spectacle was beyond anything they could have imagined, leaving their jaws hanging in disbelief.
