Chapter 31: Chapter 30: Damien Bane
While Caesar and Cedric sat in their respective corners at the turnbuckles, Caesar spoke.
"Alright, then. This Damien Bane... Lay it on me. What makes him so dangerous? I mean for someone like Nero to be scared of him, then that says a lot."
"It does." Cedric replied.
Cedric took a deep breath and sighed.
"Damien Bane... The poisonous son." Cedric said as a bulky shadow figure stood elsewhere in a warehouse with multiple yon notes descending to the ground, "One of the most terrifying guys to ever foot into the company..."
"Possibly into the world." Cedric continued as the shadow figure turned out to be a bulky and bald fair skinned beastfolk with black scales covering his head, side of his face and his entire neck while having a black elf like ear.
The beastfolk wore a black sunglasses, an opened red jacket with a fur trimmed collar with no inner wear leaving him bare chested.
On his right wrist was a rolex watch.
Round his waist was a blue jeans, and on his feet were a pair of short boots.
Damien (the beastfolk) casually stepped on the skulls of several unconscious men, both humans and beastfolks while walking towards a blonde fair skinned human who was leaning his back against a wall in fear.
"They say violence is a learned thing. That no one is born violent..." Cedric said as the blonde human in fear, screamed, drew out a knife and ran towards Damien to stab him.
Damien, however, easily stopped the attack by holding the human’s wrist. Damien began to slowly tighten his grip, crushing the man’s arm in the process.
The man out of desperation, swung his fist across Damien’s face twice but it barely moved him.
The man groaned in pain as his fingers were hurt from striking Damien.
Damien then increased the tightness of his grip, causing the man to shriek and drop the knife.
However, Damien wasn’t done as he swiftly used his free hand to land a terrifying uppercut on the human so hard on the belly that not only did his fist bulge at the back of the man but it also made the man throw out white vomit mixed with blood from his mouth along with tears gushing out from his eyes and snot from his nose.
Damien then used the same arm he used in stopping the man from stabbing him, to grab him by the throat, rush towards a wall and slam him against it.
Damien continued his violence by delivering two swift punches to the belly and one to the face, leaving the man temporarily dazed while his face was covered in blood.
"But you see that guy, Damien..." Cedric continued as Damien slowly removed his sunglasses, "He is among those that are living proof that one can be born violent."
After Damien had removed his sunglasses, revealing his irises to be amber in color while having a slit pupil of a snake.
"Mr Chou, where is my money?" Damien asked as he slightly tilted his head , "You were given time. You were given leeway, yet I still haven’t gotten anything."
"I-I was only given two months." Mr Chou relunctantly replied, "You... Can’t expect me to pay everything in just two months..."
"Huh?" Damien said as he narrowed his eyes, "What did you just say?"
Damien effortlessly tossed Mr Chou on the ground, causing him to tumble across the surface.
Mr Chou groaned and struggled to stand on all fours only for Damien casually soccer-kicked him in the stomach.
This made Mr Chou cough out loudly as blood flew out of his mouth while his eyes widened.
Mr Chou rolled on the ground and clutched his belly hard while coughing uncontrollably.
Damien then placed his right foot on Mr Chou’s head.
"Then you shouldn’t have taken the money in the first place, dumbass." Damien said, "Tell me... Why did you run here when I demanded for my money? Did you think your little friends will be able to help you?"
Mr Chou however said nothing but only whimpered in pain and fear.
Damien stayed silent for a time and spoke.
"You have three more days. If you fail to pay up, then I will introduce you to a ’Whole. New. World.’"
"You know what I’m talking about, don’t you?" Damien asked as tears were streaming down from Mr Chou’s eyes.
"That guy is nasty, unforgiving, cruel..." Cedric said as Damien removed his foot from Mr Chou’s head and turned his back to walk away.
"He’s the kind of person you know what he’s going to do but you don’t know how he is going to do it." Cedric said as Damien halted.
"You know what... I’ve changed my mind." Damien said.
"It’s not like you’re gonna pay up, anyway." Damien continued as he looked over his shoulder with a slight smile.
"He’s the kind of bastard you can never breathe easy with." Cedric said as Mr Chou’s eyes widened.
The room was instantly filled with Mr Chou’s screams and minutes later, Mr Chou was pasted face-first on the bloodstained wall while his limp body was left in a kneeling position.
"When you are a target, be rest assured he will not rest until he has gotten what he wants." Cedric said as Damien brought out a lighter from his pocket and opened it, allowing the fire to emerge.
Damien then threw the lighter into the house he stood in front, setting ablaze the environment Mr Chou and the others dwelt.
Seeing that he had finished his work, Damien turned his back to walk away casually with both hands in his pockets.
"Okay... But I’ve still not seen what’s so scary about him." Caesar said with a raised brow, "Like really, why does Nero fear him?"
"Nero was once his opponent in a mixed tag match." Cedric said with both arms crossed, "When those two stood in the middle of the ring, Nero thought Damien was one of those beastfolks he could spout his racial slurs at but he was dead wrong.
What happened in that match was ugly, so ugly that the ref had to call off the match and the people were horrified."
"Nero did deserve it, though." Cedric continued as he tilted his head up, "That dirtbag had it coming. Regardless, the audience were so terrified.
I have beaten Nero to an inch of his life twice. One was for him harming my former student Miyoshi and other was for you when he tortured your womanhood with the sole of his boot after an ero-capture post match.
Yet none of those beatings matched what he did to Nero."
"And even then, it still wasn’t enough." Cedric said as he recalled the time Nero was still unconscious, laying on the hospital bed with an oxygen mask covering the lower half of his face.
However this scene was interrupted as Damien who was wearing a white top with two gold chains and blue jeans, walked into Nero’s room with a nurse struggling to hold his arm in her efforts to stop him.
"Sir! Sir! Sir! You can’t!" The nurse said to Damien.
"What’s up, bitch? You thought this was over?" Damien asked the unconscious Nero while still walking towards him, "Well let me make it clear to you: Shit ain’t over till I say it’s over."
In a quick motion, Damien slammed his fist against Nero’s face which not only destroyed the oxygen mask but collapsed the bed simultaneously as well.
After hearing that, Caesar’s eyes widened in shock and horror and spoke.
"You mean he-he...?"
"Yeah." Cedric said, "That bastard still beat him up in the hospital. Almost killed him again.
Boundaries means nothing to Damien. Nothing at all."
"When Nero recovered, the first thing the mad dog did was to go and fight him in a condemned area." Cedric said as with a slight smirk, "But he got to learn there is a difference between one who thinks he is crazy..."
"And one who thinks he is normal." Cedric continued as he recalled the time it was raining in the night when Damien who was wearing a red office long sleeve top with gold necklace, black trousers and shoes, was holding a battered up Nero upsidedown with one hand, hovering him above a well.
Nero at that time was wearing a rumbled black T-shirt (caused from the their fight) with ripped blue jeans (also from their fight) and black sneakers,
"Do you know why the police forced the residents of this area to leave?" Damien asked, "They say the bottom of the well, though it’s deep, it’s made of clay and when whenever it rains, it becomes soft... Terrible soft. Soft enough to sink anything or ’anyone’.
Can you guess what will happen if I drop you there?"
"Let me go! Let me go and I swear I will rip you in half, you filthy snouter!" Nero demanded, "You scaly furback! Let me g-!"
Nero then paused as he realized what he was saying which made Damien chuckle and smirk.
"Yeah. Looks like you are finally speaking my language. So long, mutt." Damien said as his irises glowed.
Damien then released his grip on Nero’s leg, causing him to fall into the well.
"Holy shit... He dropped him?" Caesar asked in shock.
"Well, too bad Nero survived." Cedric said, "There were still a couple of shit that went on between the two that had fans wishing strongly that EBW would break their intergender one-v-one norm and let those two fight in the ring.
But after their few encounters, Damien traumatized Nero so badly that Nero’s arms actively shakes whenever he sees him."
"Heh. The mutt can’t even look Damien in the eye." Cedric continued with a smirk.
"He’s really enjoying this." Caesar said in her mind with a blank face.
"That bastard is so tough, relentless and petty." Cedric said as he glanced at Caesar, "Nero is just an example of his brutality. If I’m to give another example... It will be with this guy... Anthony Key."
"Anthony Key?" Caesar asked.
"Yeah. He was a rising star back then." Cedric answered as he recalled a dark skinned young man with a shaved sides, long dreadlocks and well built body, "He passed tough enough with flying colors. He always called himself ’The guy’.
When he entered EBW, he was on a winning streak of 9-0. One-on-one, mutli-man, mixed tags, he was winning them all.
You can say the glories got to his head and he was becoming disrespectful to everyone.
Little shit."
"I remember a backstage incident between him and Damien. They said Damien went out of his way and tried to give him some advice but Anthony being Anthony fucked up." Cedric continued as he recalled Anthony Key deliberately bumping his shoulder against Damien (who was wearing a black office top with sunglasses, a wristwatch, black trousers and shoes) while walking away.
Before Anthony Key could fully leave, Damien held him by the arm, causing Anthony to glance at him.
Damien then chuckled and slowly reached for the lens of his sunglasses.
"Here is another advice from me." Damien said as he removed his sunglasses, "Know who you are disrespecting around here..."
"Boy." Damien finalized as he tilted his head while his irises glowed.
"Anthony was placed in a mystery fatal four way match. That means neither him or the audience will know who his other three opponents will be." Cedric said, "And it was as if fate decided to punish him that day because one of his opponents in the match was revealed to be Damien himself... The guy he disrespected earlier before the match."
"And as I said before, the sight wasn’t pretty... Especially post-match." Cedric continued as he remembered the side of a barely conscious Anthony’s face being laid on a cinder block.
"What was that you said, boy? What was that you said? Go on. Repeat it." Damien said as he was staring down at Anthony.
"Max, I don’t like the direction of where this is going." Reyna said as Damien climbed the announce table.
"Me neither!" Max replied, "We are about to see something catastrophic here!"
"Damien, please, he is just a kid! A stupid kid!" Reyna said to Damien as the crowd were cheering massively while he stared down at Anthony from the table, "You and the other two female ero-wrestlers have already humbled him in the ring!
There is no need to go this far!"
"Damien- NO!!!" Reyna said as Damien leaped from the announce table.
"Bane-Breaker!!!" Max said as Damien performed a curb-stomp on Anthony from the announce table, destroying the blocks in the process.
"He just hit Anthony with the bane-breaker from the table!" Max continued as a pool of blood gushed out of the unconscious Anthony’s head along with spittle from his mouth while he convulsed.
"OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!!!" Reyna said in horror.
"DAMIEN! DAMIEN! DAMIEN! DAMIEN!" The crowd chanted.
Damien stared down at Anthony again and spat on his face before walking away.
"Is.. Is he still alive?" Caesar asked with widened eyes, "Anthony... Is he...?"
"Yeah. He is. But after that incident, the trauma was too much that he quit." Cedric answered, "If I’m to give another example of a young talent that was too traumatized to continue ero-wrestling after an encounter with him, I’d say Tiffany Blake.
At the age of 23, she was the youngest world champion. After seeing the perks of being a world champ, she started slacking off.
Not showing up to shows nor defending her title unless it is a pay per view event. After all as world champ, she gets a fat cheque just for holding the title. Kicking ass is a bonus."
Cedric then exhaled continued speaking.
"She was supposed to defend her title against Damien but since it wasn’t a pay per view event, she didn’t show up. However..."
"Her not showing up didn’t mean a damn thing to Damien." Cedric said as he recalled an incident that occured in a house and within that house, the ground was littered along with objects that were destroyed.
In that time, a battered fair skinned female beastfolk with long white hair that faded into red tips and gleaming orange eyes, laid on the littered ground in fear.
The woman had a white short sleeve top worn with blue jeans that was loose on ankles while being barefooted on one leg as she was clutching her belly with one hand and having the other extended forward in fear.
"Alright, Damien, you win! You win! I’ll relinquish my rights as a champion to you! Please just stop hitting me!" Tiffany Blake (the white haired beastfolk) pleaded.
Damien on the other hand who was wearing a white tank top with white jeans and black shoes, stared down at her and narrowed his eyes.
"After that moment, she chose to quit ero-wrestling and find some other way to fend for her family." Cedric said after the recollection.
"How... How is this guy not in prison?" Caesar asked.
"Well, people have speculated that he has been to jail many times and that he was even in a gang, once." Cedric answered, "People have also speculated that EBW keeps him because he is a draw and very controversial.
Aside from that, they think that if they fire him, he might just burn down the company.
That’s just speculation."
"But Caesar..." Cedric continued as he turned his gaze towards her, "If you are facing this guy on Thursday, you must not second guess yourself or hold back.
I have personally seen Damien beat the dog shit out of two kick boxers in the streets in a two-on-one fight... Brothers for that matter.
And after beating them, he pulled out his own belt and whipped them like animals."
"Can you beat him? That I don’t know." Cedric said as Caesar tilted her head down, "Why I said that instead of a yes or no is because as tough and dangerous as Damien is, the one weakness he has is himself."
"Hm?" Caesar said in confusion as she raised her head.
"Yeah, that’s right. Damien is his own worst enemy." Cedric said, "He is strong, yes. He is dangerous and tough, but as I said before, he is also petty.
That pettiness though it makes him dangerous, it also causes him to get in his own way.
If you can use that against him then you have a good chance at winning."
"Remember, when Thursday comes, ’Do. Not. Hesitate. Do. Not Second guess. Yourself.’ " Cedric continued speaking as he furrowed his brows, "Do what you must."
"In the meantime, do more of your training. Read more of your books. Anything that can help you in your upcoming match." Cedric said as Caesar clenched her fists.
Caesar then nodded her head in response and Cedric responded with a nod of his own.
Elsewhere in the middle of the road, Damien who was wearing a black top with gold cross chains, blue jeans, black shoes and a black pair sunglasses with gold accents on the lens, halted and stared at his phone.
On the screen of his phone, it showed Caesar with the voting poll of a hundred percent which made him smirk.
"Thursday, then... Usurper."
