Caesar's Moon

Chapter 60 - 59: Challenge

Chapter 60: Chapter 59: Challenge

Moments after Caesar had beaten Damien Bane, several internet pages were flooded with comments concerning the match.

"Yo! Caesar just beat Damien Bane!"

"Congratulations, Caesar Moon"

"Not gonna lie, that match was awesome"

"Yes, Caesar Moon won"

"Damien had that match won. What was he thinking?"

"After five years, Damien still hasn’t changed"

"Imagine them hyping your return only to come back to lose?"

"Man, Caesar is a different breed"

"The match was trash"

"I don’t like ero-wrestling but this match was pretty good. I rooted for Caesar, though"

"Damien, man, what were you thinking?! I betted my rent money on you!"

"Man, fuck that Mizukai pet"

"Damien only lost because he wanted to do Damien things"

"Well, it was to be expected. Damien hasn’t wrestled in five years"

"She’s so hot"

"Gosh, I wish I had a girlfriend like Caesar Moon"

"Entertaining match. Caesar is still trash though"

"Wow, the nepo-baby won the match. I mean ’nepo-bastard’ won the match. Who could have seen that coming?"

"Caesar is awesome"

From Pinger, B-cube, blue bird and several sites, the match and the victory of Caesar poured in like wild fire.

Meanwhile in the EBW medical center as Caesar who had slowly regained consciousness, sat up in the bed and groaned in pain for a moment while rubbing her temple.

Her eyes scaled the environment before she spoke in her mind.

"Damn. What happened? My head hurts like hell. Well, each time I enter the hospital my head does hurt.

Still... I remember I was in a match. I remember I was fighting against Damien and-"

Caesar’s eyes widened as the voices of the people in that arena in her head.

"One! Two! Three!"

And the winner of the match... CAESAR... MOOOONN!!!"

After the remembrance, Caesar tilted her head down in disbelief and continued speaking in her mind.

"I won...? Holy fuck, I won! I won... I beat Damien..."

The image of Akari’s face surfaced in Caesar’s head, leaving Caesar to continue talking in her head.

"I wonder what kind of face she made. What kind of look she wore after I beat him. The same elite smug look? Her crazed smile? Or displeasure and disappointment? Either way, just thinking of about this makes me happy."

A grin then crept in across Caesar’s face.

"Oi, Akari, this match marks the beginning of my first middle finger to your face." Caesar said within.

"Suck it, bitch." Caesar said in her heart while smiling as she laid back on her bed.

Later as time had gone, within the Mizukai mansion, Caesar stood in front of the Mizukais, wearing a black short sleeve top with white accents, black leggings and white sneakers.

Each member of the family sat on their gold ornamented chairs and stared down at Caesar.

The youngest, Gendo carried his usual bored expression while the second youngest, Toma stared down with a smirk of amusement.

Akari, the middle born, stared down with in an icy smile while the second oldest, Rin and the oldest, Raizan stared down with indifference.

"So... You won your first match?" Toma asked.

"Yes." Caesar answered.

"I got to admit, it was impressive. Very impressive." Toma said, "Don’t you think, Gendo?"

Gendo yawned and replied.

"Yes, it was, elder brother. The match was rather... Entertaining. Seeing our little beastfolk debtor fight like that in ring was something else."

"Yes, indeed. It was something else." Akari said while still smiling but there was a little bit of unease in her tone, "She went out there and surpassed everyone’s ’expectations’."

"I have to say, though her performance was quite remarkable, Damien mostly lost because he diverted his focus." Akari continued as Rin subtly glanced at Raizan, "Not saying it is not a good thing for you, just that your victory came from luck and a man’s foolishness.

Next time it might not happen, so you need to do better."

"The match between you and Damien surpassed the main event of House of Legends." Rin said to Caesar, "The person who streamed your conversation with Damien in the cafe drew a lot of eyes towards your match."

Rin adjusted her glasses and continued speaking.

"People placed more bets and bought more tickets for your match than any other match in the pay per view. Even non ero-wrestling fans tuned in just to see you two perform. You drew quite the eyes and filled lot of seats.

Not to mention, since the month is ending , expect your weekly pay to larger than what you earned from your first two matches combined.

Since EBW pays winners more than losers and also pays depending on how many eyes one brings along with the seats filled and other things, this is a good start.

Keep up the momentum and you’ll be able to pay your parents debts."

Raizan stayed quiet for a time while resting his temple against his knuckle with an apathetic demeanor.

"You did well." Raizan said, "And just like they have said, you succeeded expectations. Keep it up and you will be free.

You may go now."

Caesar bowed her head and turned her back to walk away as the guards escorted her out.

While she was walking, Caesar, remembering the look on Akari’s face especially on how Akari tried to maintain a smile despite being upset with the outcome of the match, couldn’t help but let a small grin surface while the upper half of her face was overshadowed.

As soon as the door closed, Gendo yawned and glanced at Toma.

"Elder brother, do you believe she can keep up the momentum?" Gendo asked.

"That... I am not sure." Toma answered, "As entertaining as the match was, our little beastfolk debtor only won because her opponent threw his win away."

"However..." Toma continued with a smirk, "She performed better than I expected. Her opponent was stronger, dominant and more experienced yet... She was able to adapt faster than he expected.

Right now, the people are starting to flock towards her."

"For her sake, she better keep the momentum going." Rin said to the duo, "With this kind of momentum she has right now, she can build herself into an EBW star. Sell more tickets, fill up more seats, get people to bet more in her matches and earn more.

And if she keeps this up, she could end up selling merchandises in her name, all just to pay the debt.

It will take a while, yes, but it will be faster than the two years she failed to pay."

"I actually like the idea of merchandises being sold in her name, eldest sister." Toma said while still smiling.

"In the end, all of that will still go to us." Rin replied, "Ninety percent of her EBW earnings goes to our pockets, that includes whatever she makes within the company aside from her matches.

So , yes, even the money she makes from the sold merchandises belongs to us."

"But..." Rin continued as she adjusted her glasses again, "All of that would be impossible if she lets this momentum she has gotten die."

"Well, she has her brothers lives on the line." Toma replied with a grin, "She will be doing everything she can to make sure they are safe, so I doubt she would mess this up."

"Once again, I did find her amusing in her match and I am interested in seeing how far she goes with this." Toma continued as Akari kept a cold stare while facing forward.

Akari then stood her from seat and took a quick breath before turning to her siblings.

"If you do not mind, I must go prepare another outfit for my little doll and see that other ’matters’ are attended to." Akari said with a courteous smile.

"Gendo." Akari said as she glanced at him.

"Toma." Akari also said as she glanced at him.

"Elder sister." Akari said to Rin as she took a formal bow.

"Eldest brother." Akari said to Raizan as she took another formal bow.

Raizan nodded his head and Akari immediately turned her back and started to walk away.

While she was walking, Rin’s eyes shifted towards Raizan while he maintained his cold expression.

As soon as Akari left the hall and was walking through the passage way, the face of Caesar surfaced in her head, leading Akari to coldly glare.

"Well played, Miss Moon. Well played indeed." Akari said in her mind, "I put you in EBW for my entertainment and experiment, but you are trying to defy me.

But that is okay."

"As a matter of fact, I am starting to like this." Akari continued in her heart as a small smile formed on her face, "I am starting to like your spirit.

I did say I wanted to see how long you can last before you end up like Kaezan, didn’t I? To think I would end up enjoying someone challenging me... Intriguing. Very intriguing."

"But one match doesn’t mean anything. One ’victory’ doesn’t mean anything." Akari said within as her smile grew, "It is time to raise the lever a little, don’t you think, dear? Increase the difficulties in your opponents."

"So let us play, my little ero-doll." Akari continued as she grinned while her blue irises glowed.
