CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2636 - 2644: Sister, I’m Sorry

Jane Sampson indeed called Bright Sampton about having dinner together at the Black Residence in the evening. Bright Sampton pretended nothing was amiss and agreed without hesitation.

After hanging up the phone, Bright Sampton glanced at Julie Sampton, who was still standing at the doorway watching him, and with a wooden face, said, "My Sister Jane is pregnant. When you and I go over in the afternoon, don’t go empty-handed."

"She’s pregnant?" Julie Sampson was delighted, "No wonder she hasn’t shown much activity recently." Julie Sampson herself had permanently lost the ability to be a mother, so when she heard Jane Sampson was pregnant, she was genuinely happy.

She understood the meaning behind Bright Sampton’s reminder.

After things settled here, she went back. At that time, Jane Sampson hadn’t given birth yet, and when Jane Sampson did give birth, she wasn’t in the country, so Bright Sampson was reminding her to prepare a gift in advance for the child in Jane Sampson’s belly.

A gift from the auntie for the child.

"I got it, I’ll go buy a gift for the child later and then take a car to the Black Residence," Julie Sampson said.

Bright Sampton nodded, and seeing Julie Sampson already contemplating what gift to buy for the child, he prepared to leave.

However, though he had the thought of leaving in his heart, he couldn’t move his feet.

Just as Julie Sampson retreated inside the house, ready to close the door, Bright Sampton suddenly spoke, "Sister, I’m sorry. Actually, you were right about one thing: I have no right to ask you to forgive him like I have, after all, what he did to you is damage on your body."

After speaking, Bright Sampton bowed deeply to Julie Sampson and then turned and left.

That one action also showed his estrangement from his sister Julie Sampson.

Julie Sampson stood there, slightly raised her head, not allowing the emotions in her eyes to leak out.

James Black didn’t have time to return to the Black Residence, so he arranged for a car and people to send Jane Sampson back.

When Jane Sampson arrived, Bright Sampton happened to be parking.

Seeing him get out of the car alone, Jane Sampson casually asked, "Didn’t Julie Sampson come with you?"

"Not on the way, she said she’s coming by herself." Bright Sampson closed the car door and walked towards Jane Sampson, "Sis, can I hug you?"

Jane Sampson paused for a moment, then opened her arms, "A hug is a hug, anyway, your brother-in-law isn’t here to see it, won’t be too jealous."

Bright Sampton laughed, then reached out and hugged Jane Sampson’s shoulders, softly saying in her ear, "Sis, I’m sorry for making you worry. I figured it out; I’ll listen to you guys. I can’t let you all worry for me."

This apology was for the possibility that his uncalm decisions could have hurt Jane Sampson.

"I thought I had grown up over the last two years, matured. Now I realize growing up isn’t like this; I still feel like that kid following behind, crying for his sister whenever he can’t see her, a two-year-old child."

If it weren’t for Julie Sampson pointing at his nose and scolding him as a beast, Bright Sampton really thought he had grown up.

Jane Sampson patted Bright Sampton’s back, "No need to grow up too fast, we’re children who are loved, we can grow up slowly, no rush, I am, and so are you."

Inside the house, the Great General had long heard Jane Sampson’s voice, and directly stepped on his son’s back to dash towards Jane Sampson.

"Great General, don’t rush up!" Bright Sampson hurriedly shielded Jane Sampson, first running over to grab the Great General, then grabbed his dog paw, pointing towards Jane Sampson’s belly, "There’s your little master in here now, you can’t pounce like that anymore."
