Just as Kotone Asaba was getting ready to sleep, he noticed that both Asa Mitaka’s and the War Devil’s Affinity had increased again.
Ever since Asa and the War Devil had merged into a single being, whenever Asa’s Affinity increased, the War Devil’s Affinity would rise along with it.
Meanwhile, at Asa Mitaka’s home, Yoru could not help remarking, "At this rate, you’re going to fall completely for that guy before we manage to win him over."
Since she shared a brain with Asa, she could clearly feel Asa’s affection for that guy steadily increasing. Even Yoru herself could not escape being affected by it.
She suddenly began to worry. If this continued, would she end up falling for him just like Asa?
It seemed she needed to win that guy over before she fell for him herself.
A while later...
"Hey, calling you the War Devil every time is a mouthful. Don’t you have another name?" Asa asked.
"No. Coming up with a name sounds like too much trouble. Call me whatever you want," the War Devil replied casually.
Asa thought for a moment before saying, "Then I’ll call you Yoru. Yoru Mitaka."
Although she hated Devils, things had already reached this point, so all she could do was find a way to get along with the War Devil.
"Whatever."
Yoru accepted the name without much concern.
"By the way, what are you looking for?"
When Asa saw Yoru crawling under her bed and apparently searching for something, she could not help asking.
"Those books about romance. Don’t you read them all the time?" Yoru replied.
"Oh, those..."
It took another moment for Asa to realize what was happening.
"Wait! How do you know they’re under the bed? Stop!"
The main problem was that she had hidden more than romance novels and romance manga under there. There were also certain erotic stories and adult comics she could never admit to owning.
It would be unbearably humiliating if someone found them and read them!
"Didn’t I already tell you? I’m part of you now. Of course I know all about these things."
Yoru looked at Asa as though she were an idiot.
As for Asa telling her to stop, Yoru simply ignored her and continued rummaging beneath the bed.
Since Yoru’s current form could only be seen and could not actually be touched, Asa was completely unable to stop her. She could only watch helplessly as Yoru dug out every one of her unspeakable "secrets."
With her hips raised as she leaned beneath the bed, Yoru pulled out the books and manga one after another. Asa could only lie facedown on the bed and bury her entire face in her pillow.
"Whoa... This is certainly educational. So humans like reading this kind of thing."
Yoru had already opened one of the adult comics. After reading it for a while, she could not help voicing her amazement.
She had never seen anything so provocative before. It was as though she had suddenly discovered an entirely new world.
As a Devil, she had originally understood none of these things. However, after taking over part of Asa’s brain, she had become capable of understanding them and had also gained certain emotions she had never possessed before.
For example, her cheeks were now slightly flushed as she read.
Most of all, Asa’s overwhelming embarrassment was being shared with Yoru, making it impossible for her to keep herself from becoming embarrassed as well.
