This was the first time I’d been injured in how long? And it had come from my own attack...

To think Inevitability would be the thing to cause me harm...

I couldn’t help it. I was having the time of my life.

My figure was bloodied, with ChaoticDenial working overtime to prevent any form of damage.

I had been injured when he threw back an attack backed by Inevitability, and since then, I hadn’t stopped.

It was clear, that attack had taken a lot out of him.

I was tempted to allow him this small taste of victory, as I could see his expression, but unfortunately...

With a wave of my hand, the entire force from his attack was suppressed, then dispersed.

I could see the horror finally painting his proud face.

"Beautiful... Truly, what a magnificent gift you have. To think you could take even that. I am impressed." I cracked my neck, addressing the stunned Celestial.

"You... you... how?" The man could barely speak. And I couldn’t blame him. For someone you thought to be on the ropes to so casually shrug off your strongest move, if I were in his place, I would be stunned too.

"I already told you, Celestial. How I do what I do is of no concern of yours," I replied, grin widening.

"That being said, I’ll take it."

"What?"

"I said I’ll take it."

"Mortal. What nonsense do you spew forth?"

"Your aspect. It has thoroughly impressed me, so, other than those beautiful wings, I’ll be taking it too."

"You know what? Scratch that..." My grin turned feral as I leveled the man a predatory look.
