Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension
Chapter 393 - 391:No pain No gainChapter 393: Chapter 391:No pain No gain
"Haaap!!!" Pulling back my arms, I finally pulled out the motionless figure of the Celestial trapped snugly in my large palm.
I looked at the man. His eyes seemed lost, almost like he couldn’t believe what he’d just witnessed for himself. A surge of satisfaction welled up from within me as I took in his lost expression.
"Do not beat yourself up, Celestial, like I said. If I wanted something, then absolutely nothing would keep me from getting it." A smile slowly emerged on my face, "and as for your oh-so-precious Divine Realm, worry not. Soon, I’ll pay that place a personal visit and see with my own eyes what’s so special about it. After all, I still need to see if that little pigeon survived my attack, hahahahahahaha."
I laughed out as the world around us, no longer under any assault, began mending itself. My connection to the abyss was restoring itself once more as the figures of Leo and the others approached.
"Dante... is that?" Salazar’s voice was shocked. He couldn’t believe it.
"What was that about being unable to pry open the Divine Realm? You should learn to stop doubting me, Salazar." I grinned, my body slowly shrinking back to normal as I tossed the frozen man to the ground beside me.
"Is he... dead?" Paku asked, poking the Celestial with a curious expression on his face.
"He’s breathing, but he might as well be dead. I think I broke his will or something?" I shrugged, uncaring for the man’s state of being.
"So, what now?"
"Now? Now we get to the fun part." My grin sharpened as I turned toward the Celestial. His stunned and lost expression finally cracked as he seemed to have felt the end approaching.
"No! No! Wait..."
"Nope..."
"Devour!"
The familiar black mist drifted out of my body as it covered the man’s entire body.
"No! No!!! You can’t do this!! The Divine Realm will not let you go!! No!! NOOOOOOO!!!!" His screams were swiftly cut off as the mist covered him completely, and then...
<<DING>>
<<DEVOURING IN PROGRESS...>>
"Alright boy, here we go..." Ignoring the pale expressions of Salazar, Aegon, and Baron, I plopped down onto the floor, crossing my legs as I rubbed my palms together in excitement.
What? Can you blame me? I was about to get a massive upgrade in coolness while simultaneously acquiring another overpowered ability.
Of course I would be excited. So...
"Bring on the goodies!!"
<<DING!>>
<<DEVOURING SUCCESSFUL...>>
<<Energy 1,000,000,000,000,000k CE.. converted...>>
Pause!
That was a lot of zeros.
"What the fuck?" That much chaos energy converted from one bitch-ass Celestial? Was this guy really all that? Or did he have some special constitution that made his energy reserves this inhumane?
"Damn... well, I guess we’re off to a good start. Now, what’s next..."
<<You have acquired the [MYTHIC] grade physique <Divine Seraphim Body>...>>
<<You have acquired the [MYTHIC] grade bloodline <Divine Seraphim Bloodline>...>>
"Well, that’s different." I couldn’t help placing a hand on my chin. If I remembered correctly, the bloodline and physique I had received from that elite-class Celestial was something called the Radiant Celestial Physique and Bloodline. Sure, I had only ever bothered with the wings they granted, but for this Celestial, despite being called "father," to have a completely different bloodline and physique...
"Or maybe it’s because theirs hadn’t been fully unlocked yet?" It could be, but then, that would raise the question, "Would their bloodlines and physiques evolve to the mythic tier as well if they had?" It was a question worth considering because that would mean there were ways to raise one’s bloodline and physique higher.
"Interesting..."
[Your <Radiant Celestial> Bloodline and Physique are being assimilated...]
"Speak of the devil."
[Ding!]
[Assimilation successful.]
I could feel a subtle motion within me as something changed. I could easily guess what, but now wasn’t the time. Let’s check out the remaining goodies first.
<<You have acquired the [DIVINE] aspect <Absorbtion and Reflection>...>>
There it is. The MVP of the day.
I know, I had been going off about those wings, but this particular ability, I just couldn’t resist...
"Divine, huh..." My eyes remained on that tag for quite some time. It would seem the Divine in this ability wasn’t because one had to be a Celestial to get it, it was merely another tier of classification for abilities.
"I wonder how much higher than mythic this thing is. And how powerful the Celestials truly are if they were birthed with such a thing by default."
I hadn’t forgotten what that Celestial had said.
He’d made clear that this was something he had been born with.
An ability more powerful than a mythic grade. I hadn’t even met enough mythic-grade users to fully understand how broken mythic-grade abilities truly were.
Darius had been a bitch. Couldn’t do shit with his.
The oh-so-great Devourer had been even less impressive, bitch could only stay there and be devoured.
The Celestial had proven an even more exciting challenge with his aspect, but even then, it was an easy enough challenge. So no, I still couldn’t truly understand how broken these things were.
Me using them didn’t count. For if I were to toss a mere fireball, at the stage I was at now, I was sure I could incinerate an entire continent with a simple one. So no, the capacities of these abilities in my hands weren’t a basis for judgment.
Now, whether I could actually find someone capable enough to show me the true limits of these tiers of abilities—now that was a question for another time.
"Alright then, let’s see what we’ve got our hands on, shall we—" I had barely gotten the words out before my system decided to fuck me over...
[DING!]
[Threshold reached!]
[Initiating forceful rank-up...]
"Huh? Was this still a thing?" It had been so long since I last ranked up that I had even forgotten that it was supposed to be a thing people did.
"Well, whatever I guess." I shrugged, almost dismissing the event, until realization finally struck...
"Oh fuck no—"
BOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!
My body exploded into a bloody mist the instant my core cracked...
"Haa... Haa... Fuck!!" I had forgotten.
"Damn it!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!
I exploded again as the energy in my body ran rampant.
"Haaa... Haaa.." My breathing came out heavy and hard as I reformed once more.
I had thoroughly forgotten the one opponent I always lost to.
BOOOM! SCHPLAT!!
The one opponent that didn’t give a fuck about anything I had.
BOOOM!!! SCHPLAT!!
Collapse? Inevitability? Physicality? It didn’t give a flying rat’s ass.
BOOOOM!!! SCHPLAT!!
Chaos Energy. There was a reason all my abilities, whether laws or otherwise, were as out of the norm as they were. That was because everything that I did, whenever I reacted with the world to manipulate the laws, I did so with my energy as the base for that connection.
I had yet to forget my first dungeon raid, when I turned that goblin into yesterday’s news with what was supposed to be a simple wind bullet turned cannon.
So, yes. ChaosEnergy was that broken. That was the pro.
The con, however, meant that I literally could do nothing about my ranking up.
That bastard didn’t care what I had, they couldn’t do shit to it.
The last time I had ranked up, I had been on the brink. But that was because my tank had been manageable, but now? I had no idea what monstrous levels my energy tank had reached.
So for that much energy to find balance with my new rank, whilst increasing in quantity and quality?
BOOOM!!! SCHPLAT!!
The outcome was undeniable.
Forget me calling myself absolute.
Because when it came to not giving a fuck, there will always only be one true absolute. And that would be Chaos Energy!
Those were my thoughts as once again,
BOOOM!!! SCHPLAT!!
I exploded, resuming my painful cycle of evolution...
********
A/N: No pain no gain, isn’t that what they said? Well, tough luck buddy. Anyways, who’s liking the new cover, hahahaha...
