Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 411 - 409:<Bearer of Worlds>

Chapter 411: Chapter 409:<Bearer of Worlds>

The silence within the place was deafening.

It seemed I wasn’t the only one that was stunned by such a question.

"This bitch..." A burst of killing intent began saturating the place.

I didn’t need to turn to know the culprits.

Both Aunt V and Aunt K had already put on their murder hats, ready to show the planet’s consciousness a piece of their mind, but...

"My apologies, but..." With a gentle wave of her hand, Terra suppressed their killing intent instantly, "releasing killing intent within the world’s core might cause some unforeseen consequences, so please, don’t." She wasn’t even angry, she just sounded like someone genuinely trying to avoid trouble.

"It seems I have said something wrong," she continued, noticing that her words were the cause of the women’s reaction.

"Well... not wrong particularly, it’s just..." I looked at her properly. Those breasts. That ass. That face. Damn... I don’t think I mind, to be honest. "Ahem!" A cough stopped my perverted thoughts cold.

I seemed to have gotten lost again, but can you blame me? With a body like that, saying words like those, even Buddha would consider his life choices.

"Forgive my mother and her friend."

""We’re NOT! Friends!!""

Melissa ignored them, "It’s just, your words earlier were a bit suggestive. Mind being a bit more clear?"

"Ahh... I apologize." Terra finally seemed to have come to a realization. "Well, let me start all over."

"Dear friends, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. And although I would’ve loved to converse with you properly, I’m afraid we don’t have time for that." Her words finally drew everyone’s serious attention.

"I had requested my guardian to seek out the Son precisely because of this."

Everyone’s eyes turned toward the Dean, the older man just smiled and gave an offhand nod.

"So, how does that translate to you asking Dante if he "wants to take you?" I mean, that’s a very suggestive use of words," Melissa asked.

"Well, it’s like this. The Son has successfully chased out all the foreign forces on Terra with his last rampage." Her words made everyone pause.

"Wait. Come again?" I myself was quite surprised. When did I do that?

"During your... I have no idea what that was, but I had given up my authority instinctively back then, and with it, you had carried out what I could only call a planet-wide sweep, your intent clear. "LEAVE"..." Her body shivered visibly as she said that. "And like a pack of cards, the foreigners folded. As of now, there are no foreign races on Terra. Be they demons, vampires, Celestials, they’ve all run away."

"Finally!!!"

"Ahahahahahahaha!!! Take that, you pricks!"

Melissa, Mira, Kaila, and the others that knew the true reason behind the stay of the foreigners and their grip on the planet rejoiced, but, "You don’t seem thrilled," I asked, as both Terra and the Dean had gone solemn instead.

Not just them, Dakota, Tian, Valen, Raven, and even Clarissa all had deathly serious expressions on their faces now.

"If they’re all gone, then that means..." Raven’s question was answered by Terra. "Indeed. I have lost any chips I had to bargain with. I am no longer useful, and knowing what powers like those do to treasures that they cannot use for themselves..." Terra’s words hung in the air. There was no need for her to complete them; everyone knew where she was going.

"So that’s why..." Clarissa.

"Indeed. That’s why I asked my guardian to bring the Son to me."

"First of all, let’s start with you calling me Dante instead of that "Son," alright?"

"As you wish."

"And secondly, I understand what you’re saying, but it still doesn’t explain what you mean by me having you."

"I mean, are you willing to take over Terra, placing me under your will? That way, the planet shall gain a better source of protection."

"So this is all about repelling those that might seek you out to destroy you since they can no longer use you for their benefits?"

"Indeed."

"Then that’s easy. I can just fend them off when they do arrive, no need for all this submission and taking nonsense." I waved her off.

"And what might I do if you leave and they return?"

"This..."

"A man like you, Dante, is bound to go far and beyond. Should I just settle for a temporary reprieve, then I might survive a day, but what about the next existential threat? What if the next threat doesn’t care about my special situation? What then?" Her words made me go silent.

"The only way I can assure my life and the lives of those I provide shelter to is to align myself with someone, and I am choosing you, but only if you’ll have me."

I couldn’t help falling into thought.

"You know, it won’t be a bad idea to accept her offer," Shaia decided to chip in.

"And why do you think so?"

"Well, for one, she’s Aunt Devouring’s last gift to you. A cradle to ensure you grow up properly after... well, after everything. And I’m sure you will not wish to see her get taken or destroyed by those unworthy, no?"

I remained silent.

"Besides, having dominion over a world might bring advantages you yourself might not know about yet."

"Like what?"

"Where would the fun be if I told you everything? Teehee."

"Ughhh..." I groaned audibly.

"Alright, fine. Say I do agree to take her, I don’t even know how."

"You’re now Devouring Chaos, this should be the most basic of basics for you."

"Hmm? How? What do you mean?"

"What I mean is, your Devouring, according to your mother, in its truest nature is all about acquisition."

"Acquisition?"

"Yes. Acquisition. Be it bloodlines, origins, powers, abilities, worlds. Whatever it is you wish, you can devour and acquire. What changes now becomes your intent."

"My intent? What does that even mean?"

"By intent, I’m talking about what it is your Devouring should do. Do you wish to preserve the life of what you’re devouring and only take its abilities? Do you wish to devour its entire being and only get a particular thing? Do you merely wish to acquire without consuming? All you need is intent."

"This..."

"It’s a lot. I know, but that’s just what you get with something like Devouring Chaos, and this is just the most basic application according to your mother. You can do even nastier things by devouring the past of a being, a world, an entity, devour their future, devour their fate, anything you wish, you can acquire. That’s why she was terrifying despite being the youngest of them."

I was stumped. Devour pasts? Futures? Fates? What the hell?

"And this is only talking about your Devouring origin. There’s still your Denying origin and Oblivion origin."

"Fuck..."

"Don’t think about it too much for now. All you need to do is focus on the task at hand, everything else we’ll figure out as we go." Her comforting voice successfully stopped me from spiraling.

"Hoo... you’re right. Alright, how do I do this?"

"Just focus on acquiring the planet as a part of your being instead of devouring its entirety, and you should be okay."

"Alright." I nodded as I turned my focus back on Terra.

"You do understand what you’re asking of me, right? If I do this, there’s no going back. You shall belong to me and me alone." My hand reached for her face as I stared deep into her eyes.

"I have a feeling I was already destined for this, so it is as it should be," she answered without hesitation.

"Alright then, if that’s what you wish." I nodded gently before opening my mouth, and then:

"Devour..."

The black miasma appeared once more, covering her slowly as her eyes remained locked onto mine. Unflinching. Unshaken.

"From now on, you, Terra, shall forever be mine," I growled low as the miasma covered her completely, but not before her last words, "Yes... husband."

....

....

Within the orbit around Terra, If one were to look at the planet from this far out, they would see an encroaching mass of black slowly but surely covering the entire planet.

In no time, the whole blue planet was engulfed in that devouring blackness, and then...

POP!

Like a cherry being plucked, it was removed from its natural orbit, vanishing like it was never there, all this happening while the citizens themselves had no idea that their world had been successfully relocated from orbit to someone’s soul space.

....

Back within the world’s core.

I watched in rapt attention as the miasma completely covered Terra, deciding for now to ignore her last words, and then,

[DING!!!]

The system chimed.

"Hmm? What now?" I had almost forgotten that this thing was still here, but the next notification made me sober up instantly...

[You have successfully assimilated your first world.]
