Chaos Heaven-Dominating Technique

Chapter 561 556: Shen Haoran Makes a Move

Zhu Tian's Ghost Head Saber came crashing down on Bai Shuo like a mountain. The ferocious force of the attack left Bai Shuo no choice but to raise his spear in defense. The next instant, the weapons collided, and the immense power sent Bai Shuo stumbling backward!

Having been forced back, Bai Shuo lost his chance to intercept Hou Di. Hou Di shot straight past Bai Shuo and Zhu Tian, rocketing toward Lady Ya not far away.

"Stop him!" Bai Shuo roared, having lost the initiative. The surrounding Bai Family Army immediately rushed forward, but before they could get close to Hou Di, they were intercepted by the elite warriors of the Snow Wolf Race. The two sides instantly descended into a bloody battle.

Hou Di couldn't help but sneer at this. 'The intelligence was perfect. In an attempt to avoid attracting the Snow Wolf Race's attention, Lady Ya's escort team only had a single Spirit Aspect Tier powerhouse, Bai Shuo, and the Bai Family Army wasn't mobilized in force. As long as we pin down Bai Shuo and his men, the rest are no threat at all.'

Hou Di glanced at the Martial Artists surrounding Lady Ya. They were almost all just Spirit Pupil Level cannon fodder. There was even one piece of trash without the slightest ripple of Spiritual Power. 'This mission is going to be absurdly easy!'

Watching Hou Di steadily approach, the faces of everyone around Lady Ya paled. They gripped their weapons tightly. The immense pressure radiating from their opponent was suffocating, but they could not retreat. They had to protect Lady Ya, even if it meant death.

"I'm so sorry. It seems I've dragged you into this as well," Lady Ya said to Shen Haoran, her eyes filled with apology. Her face was etched with despair. Hou Di's strength had reached the Tier Five Spirit Aspect level, and the only one here who could possibly fight him was Bai Shuo. With Bai Shuo tied down by Zhu Tian, no one could stop Hou Di. The situation was hopeless.

As Lady Ya spoke, Hou Di charged right up to them. Seeing this, Lady Ya gave Shen Haoran a long, meaningful look before leaping forward to block Hou Di's path.

"Stop! I'll go with you. Just let these people go!" Lady Ya said coldly, fixing her gaze on Hou Di.

"Lady Ya!" Hearing her words, the Martial Artists behind her were stunned. They rushed to her side and declared in grave tones, "We refuse! If you want to harm Lady Ya, you'll have to step over our dead bodies first!"

"Quiet! This has nothing to do with any of you. There's no need for you to die for me, and my business is none of your concern! Da Mao, Er Mao, take the others and go! Leave this place!" Lady Ya snapped, turning to face them with a hint of anger on her face.

Seeing Lady Ya so angry, everyone was taken aback. They had followed her for many years but had never once seen her lose her temper. They knew, however, that she was only trying to stop them from dying alongside her.

"Lady Ya..." Da Mao and the others started to protest, but Lady Ya cut them off immediately.

"If you have any respect for me left at all, then leave! Now! Immediately!" Lady Ya commanded in a low, firm voice.

At her words, Da Mao, Er Mao, and the other Martial Artists opened their mouths to object, but seeing the grim look on Lady Ya's face, they could only swallow their words. Tears welled in their eyes, and the atmosphere instantly grew somber.

CLAP. CLAP. CLAP. Just then, the sound of applause broke the silence. Everyone looked toward the source and saw Hou Di clapping his hands, a wicked smirk playing on his lips as he slowly approached them.

"What a touching, heroic scene. I almost can't bear to ruin it," Hou Di said with a cold laugh, glancing around at the group.

"Hou Di, I'm your target. This has nothing to do with them. Let them go, and I'll return with you," Lady Ya said, turning to face him coldly.

"Fine by me. This trash is worthless to us anyway. Killing them would only dirty my hands," Hou Di said dismissively, shooting a disdainful glance at Da Mao and Er Mao.

"You...!" Hearing Hou Di's words, Da Mao's and Er Mao's faces flushed with anger.

"Remember to live well," Lady Ya said gravely, turning her head to look at Da Mao and Er Mao. Her gaze then shifted to Shen Haoran in the back, lingering for a few seconds before she turned away. Facing Hou Di expressionlessly, she said, "Let's go."

At this, Hou Di sneered and made an inviting gesture. Lady Ya began to walk forward with large strides. Hou Di shot a final, cold glance at Da Mao, Er Mao, and the others, then followed Lady Ya with another sneer. 'This mission was completed without shedding a single drop of blood!'

However, before Lady Ya and Hou Di had taken more than a few steps, a soft sigh suddenly echoed. Though quiet, the sound rang clearly in everyone's ears and lingered in the air.

"I haven't agreed to this yet. Is it really proper to just take my lifesaver away like that?" A calm voice followed the sigh. Everyone turned in shock to look behind them. There, Shen Haoran was gazing at Lady Ya with a look of resignation, a faint, almost imperceptible smile playing on his lips.

"Honestly, it's just a minor Spirit Aspect. Was it really necessary to act like this was some tragic final parting?" Shen Haoran shrugged and spoke casually as he began to walk forward. The crowd instinctively parted, clearing a path for him.

"A 'minor'... Spirit Aspect! Brother Shen, do you know what you're saying? That's a Spirit Aspect Tier powerhouse!" Da Mao exclaimed, staring at Shen Haoran in utter shock. The others around him also gaped at Shen Haoran, all of them thinking the same thing: 'Has he been scared stupid?'

"A minor Spirit Aspect! Hmph! How dare a piece of trash like you, with no Spiritual Power whatsoever, speak to me that way? You must be courting death!" Hou Di's face turned grim the moment he heard Shen Haoran's words. He was actually being looked down upon by some waste with zero cultivation.

Shen Haoran paid Hou Di's threat no mind at all. Instead, he stated coldly, "I'll give you one chance. Let go of Lady Ya. Otherwise... I'll grant you no mercy."

"Brother Shen, do you know what you're saying? Don't provoke him!"

"Brother Shen, get back here! He's a Spirit Aspect Powerhouse! We're no match for him! Don't let Lady Ya's sacrifice be in vain!"

"Brother Shen!" Hearing Shen Haoran's declaration, the Martial Artists behind him grew pale with fright and tried to reason with him. As for Hou Di, his face had become as dark as a stormcloud.

"Haha, excellent! It seems you won't learn your lesson until you're staring death in the face. Today, I'll show you exactly what kind of demon you've just offended!" Hou Di laughed, his fury twisting his face into a savage mask as he roared. His figure flickered, and he shot toward Shen Haoran. 'I'm going to rip the heart out of this trash who has zero cultivation and cut off his tongue! Then he'll see what a real powerhouse looks like!'

"ROAR!" With astonishing momentum, Hou Di appeared before Shen Haoran in an instant. The Martial Artists behind him all squeezed their eyes shut, unable to bear watching the brutal scene that was about to unfold.

BOOM!

However, in the instant Hou Di reached Shen Haoran, a terrifying pressure erupted out of nowhere. A pair of colossal fists formed from Spiritual Thought descended from the sky, ruthlessly smashing into Hou Di's back in mid-air. The impact instantly slammed him to the ground, and the terrifying force caused him to spit out a mouthful of fresh blood.

"So noisy," Shen Haoran stated indifferently, looking down at Hou Di at his feet without a hint of expression. The icy killing intent flashing in his dark eyes made Hou Di feel as though he had been plunged into the Nine Netherworld Hell. A cold sweat instantly drenched his clothes.

'This kid... Just what are his origins...' Hou Di's mind went completely blank as he stared into Shen Haoran's indifferent eyes...
