Their eyes met, and he didn’t even try to avoid her gaze. He held her eyes, and Seara felt a familiarity in the way he stared at her.

But she swore it was the first time she had met this man. She wondered, who was he? And why did he stare at her like that?

Seara squeezed Zade’s arm out of instinct, and the small gesture got his immediate attention.

"Is it too much?" Zade asked. He followed her line of sight and found the first son of the Brooks family, Jeremy’s friend.

"No," Seara said in a small voice. "I am fine." She turned her head and looked at Zade with a smile. Her mate smiled back at her, but he was mind-linking one of the warriors in the hall to keep his eyes on Oliver Brooks.

On the other hand, Oliver was standing right next to his sister, who didn’t stop yapping about how handsome Zade Blaze was, and she didn’t know that he was that young.

"I thought he would be in his fifties or forties!" She gushed over the owner of the Blaze Company. "But how old is he? Twenty-eight? Twenty-nine? Gosh, he must be only a little over thirty, but he is already a successful businessman!"

Olivia then asked her father if that was indeed Zade Blaze, and her father confirmed it.

"But who is that girl next to him? Why is she with him? Is she his woman?" Olivia flicked her hair; she compared herself with that auburn-haired woman and seemed to recall something. The hair was a giveaway.

There were not many people who had that crazily long hair.

"Wait... that’s the woman! That’s the woman who was with Jeremy!" Olivia widened her eyes in shock; now everything clicked for her, because no random woman should sit with Jeremy and his mother so casually.

"Have you met her before?" Oliver grabbed Olivia’s arm. He looked at his sister intensely while Zade was on the podium, giving a speech.

"Yes, I met her..." Olivia was hesitant to tell Oliver what happened, but in the end, she told him everything in a low voice so their parents wouldn’t be able to hear what she had done.

She would be in big trouble if her parents learned that she had offended Zade Blaze’s woman and the Sol family.

As she recalled the incident, she shuddered at the possibility of backlash against her family.

"Oliver, it hurts," Olivia whimpered when Oliver’s grip on her elbow tightened, and when she looked at him, there was a storm on his face, as if he was pissed off. "You are so scary. Why are you angry with me?"

"You know that you can cause a lot of trouble for the family because of your action, right?" Oliver growled at her, and Olivia couldn’t retort because that was the truth. "Stop doing that; you are not in high school anymore. You act like a teenager. You are too old for that."

Oliver was so angry. Daven had a sister, too. He failed to discipline her, which put her in a situation where he couldn’t help her. He didn’t even know whether she was alive or not.

"Okay, okay, but stop hurting me. Your grip is so painful; let me go." Olivia glared at her brother.

"Be quiet, you two," their father hissed warningly at his children.

Both Oliver and Olivia shut down immediately as they watched Zade introduce Seara as his fiancée. Everyone gasped, as they didn’t expect this, and clapped their hands. It would have made a headline in the gossip magazine if only there had been a paparazzi present there.

However, Oliver didn’t hear what the others around him were saying after that as they voiced their concern and disbelief. They started asking which family the woman was from and if anyone had known her.

They wondered how she could get to know the owner of the Blaze Company, and then there were many more questions and curiosity.

Of course, they wouldn’t talk like that within Zade’s earshot, but they felt free to say anything when they were in the circle of the same people, who had similar curiosity.

But Oliver couldn’t take his eyes off Seara. She was exactly how he remembered her when she was young. She was radiant and beautiful.

She was a little shy when she introduced herself, and her eyes couldn’t stop glancing back at Zade, as if she wanted to make sure he was still there with her.

She was no longer that teenager who looked innocent and said silly things when she was nervous. Seara had grown up; she was a beautiful young woman, and she would turn twenty-two in three months.

It had been four years, and Oliver didn’t know until now how much he missed her. He met her eyes earlier, and he thought she recognized him, but he realized that was impossible.

"What are you staring at?" Jeremy elbowed Oliver and followed his line of sight to find Seara was the focus of his attention. "Wow, dude. No. Whatever is in your mind, don’t."

"What?" Oliver glared at Jeremy, irritated. "I didn’t do anything."

"I know that look. Don’t shoot yourself, dude; you will not survive Zade Blaze." Jeremy patted Oliver’s shoulder.

Of course, he knew that look; having Zephyr around and hanging out with him a few times, he knew how lewd a man could be. But even Zephyr wouldn’t dare direct such a look at Seara.

"Come on," Jeremy said as he took Oliver away so he could stop staring at Seara. He was scared Zade would catch such a look and do something to his friend.

After all, not so long ago, Olivia had caused trouble, and Jeremy was sure Zade was already keeping his eyes on the Brooks family.

"Who is she?" Oliver asked. "Which family does she come from?"

"Don’t ask. I will not answer the question." Jeremy slung his arm and took him to eat. "Let’s eat and ditch this party later."
