Claimed by the Mad Lycan King

Chapter 129: I WILL ALWAYS CHOOSE YOU

The water poured onto Altair’s face, wetting his shirt. They didn’t expect this sudden outburst from Seara at all, and it shocked not only Altair but also Asher.

"Oh, shit." Asher straightened his back, still sitting on the sofa. His apple was forgotten.

They wanted to know how far Zade would take the provocation and how stable he was. They needed to be sure that Seara was enough to keep Zade in check because they had to decide whether to chain him in the dungeon or return to their domain peacefully.

But who would have thought that it was Seara who couldn’t contain her rage at the provocation?

"No one had ever dared to throw water on me," Altair said in a slow, dangerous voice as he wiped the water from his face.

Meanwhile, Zade smirked; he looked at his mate proudly. He was not surprised by Seara’s reaction since she also had a strong response when Chloe provoked her. At that time, she had even tried to claw at Chloe’s face, fully aware that she couldn’t shift and that her opponent was a shifter.

And now, Altair had crossed the line, and Seara had had enough. She didn’t even care that the man before her was a Lycan king.

She looked as if she were ready to claw Altair’s face for even suggesting that. "Get. Out!" she enunciated every word ferociously.

At the moment, she was about to go feral. Her hair was slightly messy, and her hazel eyes were ablaze with anger, directed at Altair.

The provocation went wrong. It was aimed at Zade, but Seara was the one who lost control, while Zade watched his mate with amusement.

"Well, if she has that energy to fight you, I think Zade will be fine. She knows how to fight," Asher said in a light tone. He then stood up and approached Altair. "Let’s go back; he will be fine. I am sure, even Zade’s beast trembles in fear at the sight of his mate’s wrath."

Seara was still glaring daggers at them. The thought that they even suggested that Zade take Chloe irritated her.

"Giving your mark will do the trick," Altair said, his eyes fixed on Seara’s bare neck, where Zade’s mark was supposed to be. "And having a child will shut them up."

"That’s none of your business," Zade replied coldly. For a while, the two of them were glaring at each other, as if they were communicating through the mindlink.

Actually, the suggestion was not wrong, since it would solidify Seara’s position in the kingdom as Zade’s mate.

And after a while, Altair broke the glaring match, and the two of them walked out of the room. Asher was still smiling; he even winked at Seara, while Altair looked nonchalant as he wiped the remaining water from his face.

Outside, Zephyr was about to enter the room and bumped into the two of them. He frowned when he saw Altair.

"What happened to you?" Zephyr asked, furrowing his brows at the water still dripping from Altair’s hair. "Someone threw you a water bomb or something?"

Asher chuckled in delight. "You are almost correct."

However, Altair shoved Zephyr aside and walked away, and Asher followed behind him. Zephyr watched the two of them leave and hoped they wouldn’t come to occupy his guest rooms again.

"Are they leaving for good this time?" Zephyr asked expectantly as he entered the room, but he immediately quieted down when he saw Seara’s furious expression. "Am I missing something?" He entered the room cautiously.

"Why are you happy? Do you agree with his suggestion?" Seara now directed her glare at Zade, who was smiling and staring at her with amusement.

Zade took the empty glass from her hand and put it away, just in case she had another outburst and hit him with the glass.

He didn’t mind it, though, if she needed to vent her anger that way, but he was worried she would hurt herself.

"What?" Seara looked as if she wanted to cry out of anger, but Zade kissed her forehead instead. "Don’t kiss me! I don’t want to be kissed!"

"You are so adorable when you are angry." Zade still had this gentle smile on his lips.

Meanwhile, Zephyr entirely disagreed with Zade. He didn’t think Seara was adorable when she was angry. She looked scary. If only she could shift into her wolf, Zephyr bet she would have done that and whipped Zade’s ass for whatever mistake he had made that caused her to be upset.

"Don’t change the topic." Seara moved away from Zade. "So, you will take Chloe?" Her voice trembled slightly when she said it, revealing a mix of pain, sadness, and anger as she asked the question.

"I will not take anyone but you, Seara. I would rather kill them all and silence their protest forever than not choose you."

Zephyr almost had a heart attack when he heard that. "Please, don’t say something scary like that. My fragile heart can’t take it."

He had been busting his ass off to calm the situation down and figure out how to fix it. The news about the wolf phenomenon was still on air, and people were still talking about it.

Even if they had to wait until the situation blew over, the current enthusiasm of the people meant it would take months; even so, no one would completely forget about it.

But here Zade was, talking about killing again.

"But they don’t want me." Seara lowered her head; she bit her lip, angry with herself this time. It was not her fault that she lost her wolf spirit. She didn’t even want that, but why did she have to pay for it?

"Why do you care whether they want you or not?" Zade cupped her face and kissed her on the lips. "I love you; isn’t it enough?" His voice was so gentle against her lips.

Zephyr was suddenly interested in the blue sky out there.
