Seara thought Sybill didn’t want to go with her because she was scared of Zade and the others. Their appearance and strong presence must have intimidated her.

It was understandable, though, because Seara also felt that way when she met them for the first time, especially Zade. She was scared of him, and it took her weeks to be comfortable in his presence.

"Can you leave for a while, please? I will convince Sybill to come with us. She is a little bit scared of you." Seara looked at Zade, pleading. She was afraid he would be angry and leave instead.

"Seara." Zade grabbed her hand. "There is no one there."

They had been watching Seara talk to the wall the entire time, as if having a full-blown conversation with someone, but there was no one there.

The person named Sybill didn’t exist. Seara had been talking alone all this time.

"There is no one there, Seara," Zade said again, as he watched the confusion on her face.

"What do you mean?" Seara furrowed her brows. She then pointed at where Sybill was. "She is there. How can you not see her?"

Seara believed Zade was playing with her, but he wasn’t the type to joke around, especially not at a time like this.

"She is there." Seara insisted. She pointed her fingers at Sybill, a little bit upset because they looked at her with the same pitiful gaze. She didn’t understand why they couldn’t see Sybill.

It didn’t make sense at all.

"Sybill! Say something! They say they can’t see you!" Seara screamed at Sybill desperately. She was very real to Seara, but why did the others act as if she were the only one who could see Sybill? "Say something!"

However, for Zade and the others, Seara was screaming at the empty space. The sight was unnerving.

"Seara, enough." Zade hugged her from behind, while Seara stared at Sybill, who refused to say a word.

"No... she is there. I swear, Zade. She is there. She is staring at me." Seara trembled in his arms; she was scared because Sybill looked so real to her, but then she saw her own reflection. "Sybill, say something."

She didn’t. She wouldn’t say anything and simply stared at her with a sad pair of eyes.

"Please, say something."

As if she had just woken up from a dream or had fallen into a deep sleep, Seara finally saw it for what it was.

Sybill’s hazel eyes, her auburn curly hair, and the way she smiled while rocking back and forth—it was all a reflection of Seara herself.

She had been seeing herself all this time.

For more than two years, she had been talking to herself...

All the stories Sybill shared with her were tales that Seara had long forgotten—about the cat, the two friends she used to have...

All of the conversation throughout the night. She had been talking to no one. It was only an empty space; no one talked back to her.

The conversation was only in her mind, and Sybill had never been there in the first place...

The reality came crashing down, and Seara couldn’t handle it.

Heaven. How could that happen?

Seara couldn’t stand up; her body was very weak, and she fell to the floor, but Zade was still hugging her, preventing her knees from hitting the cold concrete.

They were talking to her, but she couldn’t hear what they were saying.

Sybill was right before her eyes, and then she was gone. Her figure also faded in all of the memories about her.

She was not real.

So, Zade could not be real too, right? She could have imagined him. What if when she blinked her eyes, she found herself still trapped in this cell? Staring at the small window that was not even enough for her fist.

"...Out..." Seara mumbled, but suddenly she had an outburst. "LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT OF HERE! I DON’T WANT TO BE HERE!"

They had to physically restrain her so she wouldn’t hurt herself, but even so, it was unavoidable. Seara’s left hand hit the edge of the bed so hard that you could feel the pain when you heard the sound of it.

"Seara!" Zade felt as if he could break her bones if she kept struggling crazily.

"Hold her!" Jane fished out something from her pocket, which she had prepared.

Ace had to step forward to hold her legs so she wouldn’t kick Jane. It took a tremendous effort to restrain someone that you didn’t want to hurt.

"Let me out! Let me out! LET ME OUT! DON’T LEAVE ME HERE!" Seara crashed down so hard that she tuned out everything else.

Meanwhile, Jane took the syringe and injected Seara with it. Thankfully, the reaction was immediate, as her body slacked off and she stopped struggling before she completely went still, unconscious.

Zade had to put his fingers under her nose and press his palm against her chest to make sure that she was only sleeping.

With that, they got the confirmation that they needed; Sybill had never existed.

"We need to get her out of here, Zade..." Jane said with concern when she saw Zade hold her closely.

The king of Lycan was on the brink of losing control over his beast’s rage as the full realization of what had happened to his mate sank in.

"Find out who those warriors are," Zade said darkly.

"Huh? I just got home," Jeremy said through the phone as he put down his bag. "I don’t hit a woman." He slouched down on the sofa and then listened to Zephyr’s ramble. "What kind of information do you want to know from them?"

Of course, he knew about the three women that the king had put inside their dungeon and what actually happened.

"So, when will you introduce us to the girl?" Jeremy stared at the ceiling. "The king has finally found his mate, which is a miracle; of course, we are curious."
