"Belial?" Ace looked at Zade with a frown. "Are you sure?"
"A hundred years have passed," Zade reminded him, and Ace fell into a deep silence.
"But don’t you think this is too early?" Ace looked uneasy now. He gestured for the two warriors who had carried out the interrogation to leave the room. This was not a conversation that any werewolf should hear.
"No. The real destruction will happen ten years from now, but the destruction they want will not happen overnight. It starts with small things that add up." Zade stared at the four warriors before him. "They have been corrupted."
Zade then walked closer toward them. They looked at him with glazed eyes and looked scared, but they didn’t really see him, as if they were staring through the Lycan king, though the fear came from his presence.
"But we have him." Ace gritted his teeth.
"There are seven of them; capturing one will not stop them." Zade walked to the nearest warrior and wrapped his fingers around his neck. In one smooth movement, he killed the warrior. And then, he killed the others one by one.
The four warriors had been corrupted, and he wouldn’t take the risk of keeping them alive. They couldn’t be saved anymore. Moreover, with the crime that they had committed, it guaranteed a death sentence for them.
"Bring their bodies back to their pack and call the alphas from the Silver Moon Pack, the River Creek Pack, and the Iron Fangs Pack. Arrange a meeting with them as soon as possible."
The packs Zade mentioned were the three largest packs within his domain; they were their close allies.
And for Zade to call the alphas from the three packs at the same time meant the matter was very crucial.
"Right away," Ace said. He then left to carry the order.
Meanwhile, Zade stayed there for a while, watching the dead bodies of the four warriors before him, still chained to the wall.
When he left, he ordered the warriors to take care of their bodies with respect and waited for further instructions.
After that, Zade went to the east watchtower, where they had brought the man, and it was currently under tight security.
Warriors were everywhere, whether they were in their human forms or in their wolf forms. They packed the area, and when they saw the Lycan king, they immediately bowed in respect.
The watchtower was not a dungeon, but because of the man inside, the air around the building felt colder than usual, and there was a depressing feeling the closer you got to the cell where he was being held.
Because of this, no guards were stationed in front of the cell, and even if they came to check, they couldn’t stay for long, because this kind of dark aura would affect them.
However, as a Lycan, Zade was unfazed. He fished the key out of his pocket and then opened the door to find a man sitting on the ground. He was naked with missing arms and legs.
"Zade..." he said his name with a sigh, as if they were old friends who had not seen each other in a long time.
"Leviathan."
"I thought you had forgotten my name," he cackled darkly.
It was a little difficult to see him in the dark room, except for his molten golden eyes, which shone brightly with mockery.
For someone who missed their arms and legs, he looked fine. His body was only skin and bones, but he was still alive, and his voice was steady.
"I heard you have found your destined mate. Bring her here; I want to see how beautiful the Lycan’s destined mate can be."
Hearing that, Zade didn’t lash out, but the temperature in the small cell dropped as his electric blue eyes darkened.
The Lycan king took a few steps closer, and when he was close enough, he raised his hand that was already half-shifted into a claw and gauged the man’s eyes.
A loud, howling scream echoed throughout the wall, giving you a chill down your spine, as the man lost his eyes.
However, the eerie sound of pain turned into a high-pitched laugh.
"Zade... Tear me apart, but you will never be able to kill me. You know that," he said with amusement. His body collapsed to the ground and stayed there. He was filthy, and his dirty blond hair was disheveled. "What is her name? Seara? A beautiful name... say hi from me, will you?"
Zade’s eyes narrowed into slits as an intense killing intent engulfed the small cell. Even the warriors out there could feel the wrath of the king.
However, Leviathan was unfazed. They were both immortal, but as a demon, he was invincible. No matter what the Lycan did, they wouldn’t be able to get rid of him. Thus, the only thing they could do was to keep and guard the demon for eternity.
"Tell me a little bit about her. I can hear her scream from here. What did you do to her, Zade? She sounds broken. Who has broken her?"
Zade could feel the rage rolling off him. He felt like he wanted to kill someone. He closed his eyes and recalled how good it felt when he massacred a whole pack many years ago. He remembered the warm blood in his hands, the breaking bones, and the screams of the dying people around him.
That sounded... great.
"Don’t you want to kill those people who had hurt your mate? Aren’t you angry at those people who had defiled her? The pack who had mistreated her and..."
Leviathan didn’t finish his words when Zade clawed his face and ripped his tongue. He was still alive. He would be fine after some time, but if Zade stayed there, it would feed his feral side.
When Zade left, the demon looked like a clump of meat and bone. However, there was no doubt that he was still alive.
