Seara knew hostility when she saw it, and needless to say, she could even smell the aggression from these four women.
She was not so stupid as to be oblivious to what kind of situation she was in. After all, this was not the first time she saw such enmity.
"What are you doing here with this woman?" One of them was wearing a blue skirt and a white shirt; she was holding her handbag gracefully while observing Seara.
Aside from the diamond earring that she was wearing, Seara didn’t have anything valuable with her. Her neck and her fingers were bare. She was wearing the bracelet that Zephyr gave her, though, which caused them to scrunch their noses.
"Olivia, she is..." Jeremy glanced at Seara; he was confused about how to describe their relationship. "She is... my friend."
If you saw it from the perspective of shifter hierarchy, Jeremy was being disrespectful by calling Seara his friend, since she was the mate of the Lycan king.
However, Olivia and her friends were humans, and they didn’t know anything about the shifter world.
"Your friend?" Olivia raised her brows. She dusted her blue skirt and flipped her long, blonde hair as she assessed Seara. "Are you sure? You are a little bit stuttering when you say that."
"That’s none of your business, Olivia. Leave." Jeremy glanced at the ten warriors, who blended with the other customers. He would face huge trouble if something happened to Seara.
Hhh... Thinking about that alone already gave him a headache. She got him stressed out, and she was not even his woman.
"Why? Can’t we join you? You said she is only a friend; we are friends too." Olivia then sat down next to Jeremy, while one of her friends sat with Seara and the other two took other chairs to join the table.
The one who was sitting with Seara was a tall woman with a slender figure; she reminded her of a model, especially with her fair skin and beautiful face. She could be one. Her black hair was luminous under the warm light.
"I said get up, Olivia," Jeremy said. He glared down at the woman who was sitting next to him, but she was unfazed.
"Don’t be like that; we want to know your friend too," Olivia said with her sweet tone.
"You should get up. That is not your place," Seara said. She meant that the seat next to Jeremy’s was Leia’s.
"Not my place?" Olivia glared at Seara. She looked a little hesitant because not just anybody could get close to the Sol’s family.
However, judging from the way the other woman was dressed, her status was questionable.
"What’s your name? What family do you come from?" Emma asked. She was the one who was sitting next to Seara. She knew Olivia was still judging this unknown woman.
"Enough! Get out of here!" Jeremy stood up; his voice darkened. From the corner of his eye, he could see three warriors had stood up.
If they saw these women touch Seara and the words travelled back to Zade, they would absolutely reach the Lycan king; then they would be done for.
"If you want to eat, find another table," Jeremy said sternly. He glared at each one of them, who immediately lowered their heads, scared.
"What is wrong with you, Jeremy?" Olivia pursed her lips; she looked embarrassed to be chased away from his table. "We are friends."
"You are Jude’s girlfriend, not my friend. That’s not the same; now get up and leave." Jeremy’s voice became sharper. Jude was his best friend at the university, and he was human; thus, there was a conflict of interest here.
"How could you treat me like this, Jeremy?" Olivia stood up; she stomped her feet and then told her friends to leave as well.
But they were not leaving the restaurant; instead, they took the empty table and stayed there, watching them.
Thankfully, the only empty table they could find was in the opposite corner of the restaurant, which was far away from Seara and Jeremy.
"Hey, are you okay?" Jeremy asked Seara.
"Yes, I feel nostalgic," Seara replied. She was not really afraid but surprised. Ultimately, it was not the first time she had to deal with that kind of behavior.
Eudora and her friends were more aggressive than Olivia.
"Sorry about that," Jeremy mumbled.
"It’s okay." Seara glanced at Olivia’s table, and she was glaring at her. "Do you like her?"
"What? No. She is my best friend’s girlfriend."
"But I think she likes you."
"No." Jeremy shuddered. "She is human. I can’t even stand her scent and attitude."
Thankfully, not long after, Leia returned, and they didn’t say anything about the encounter with Olivia since it was not something important. They ate the roasting duck that Leia said was delicious, and Jeremy looked as if he wanted to leave the table.
"That’s delicious, right?" Leia asked Seara, staring at her with expectant eyes.
"Yes, this is delicious," Seara replied.
"She is only being polite with you, Mom," Jeremy said, grumbling. "If you don’t like it, just say it; there is no need to lie."
"I am not lying. This is delicious," Seara retorted.
"You will not say that if you have had it a hundred times."
"My opinion will still be the same even after I have it a hundred times."
Leia laughed to see how the two of them glared at each other. She hugged and kissed Seara because Seara had defended her and because they had similar tastes. "Oh, I like you! We should go out often!" She was so happy.
"Mom!" Jeremy whined.
Once they had finished eating, they were ready to head home, as Leia had told Zade that she would only take Seara out for lunch.
But before that, Seara went to the toilet first. She finished her business quickly and washed her hands.
That was the time when she saw Olivia and her four friends enter the toilet as well. Seara couldn’t believe her luck would be this bad.
