Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Materials
Ring! Ring! Ring!
The alarm on Lars’s phone rang. As Lars woke up, he looked at the clock. It was already 12 p.m. in the afternoon.
He looked at the bandage around his abdomen before removing it. The wound on his abdomen had completely healed without leaving even a scar.
Last night, or early this morning, more accurately, after returning from the raid on the Black Lotus Club, he had spent all his remaining mana using Healing Arrows as much as he could.
As a result, he had used up all his remaining arrows and was completely exhausted. He fell asleep like a log until now.
Tap!
Tap!
He tapped his abdomen, and a wide smile appeared on his face.
"Good! Now I’m back to top condition! Even though...we still don’t know where they are hiding Celine."
He then took a shower and had breakfast, or lunch at this point, before leaving his room. He looked at Celine’s locked door.
"Don’t worry, Celine. I will save you," he muttered.
He then immediately rode his scooter toward the Dungeon Hub. His plan now was to craft a new weapon for himself.
The F-Rank Rude Steel Sword was now useless, and he needed a better weapon to fight stronger enemies. He immediately thought about White Feathers and the weapon he had used.
’That sword of his...did it actually come from his inventory, or was it his skill? I was totally stupid to think I could defeat him by only using an invisibility skill. That guy is actually beyond common sense.’
Even though he had no idea how to defeat White Feathers right now, Lars somehow felt slightly excited in his heart. It was because there was finally someone he needed to surpass in order to become stronger.
However, a feeling of guilt soon appeared as he realized he was using this bad situation involving Celine as a way to motivate himself.
After that, he arrived at the Smithing Area of the Dungeon Hub.
"You again! What do you want now?" George asked, looking less than pleased to see Lars again.
Lars scratched the back of his head while smiling shamelessly.
"Err... can I buy some materials?"
"There are no more materials for us to sell to you. All the materials we have are limited. There is a scarcity of materials now, you know. All the people are just paying us to work on their gear, but we’re the ones who have to obtain all the materials ourselves," George said, looking dissatisfied.
This was one of the weaknesses of being a blacksmith in this nation.
Unlike other places, where hunters were the ones who brought their own materials to have their gear crafted or repaired, here, all the materials were provided by the blacksmiths themselves.
The Blacksmith Workers’ Union had voiced this problem to the higher-ups, but they simply ignored them, telling them that they were given a massive budget to obtain the materials themselves.
That was why some blacksmiths decided to leave the nation and move to neighboring nations, where the situation was better.
Listening to George’s words, Lars then asked,
"Where do all the blacksmiths get their materials?"
"Isn’t it obvious? From dungeons, of course! Although some common materials are available in the markets, the rarer ones are all inside dungeons, waiting to be discovered!"
"Alright, I’ve wasted enough time talking to you. Now I have a lot of work to do," George said before walking away.
Lars then walked away from there while scrolling through his phone. He opened a forum about materials. Suddenly, he noticed a post that was gaining a lot of attention.
---
[Where Is Anonymous214?]
It has been a week since he listed his Class Book. What happened to him?
(Maybe he got signed by a company? Of course, they would demand exclusivity.)
(That is possibly true. Although it is a pity that other Class Books on the market cannot compare to what he sold.)
(Just when I finally had enough money...(T.T)

Lars made a weak smile. He really wanted to return to those days when people were making a commotion over his Class Books.
But now, Beatrix was blocking him because she was against monopolization and artificial scarcity, so he had no choice but to comply.
"Don’t worry. I will return."
Lars vowed to himself. He then continued checking the forums regarding material gathering. He read through the posts while sitting in a café. As he scrolled through the forum, he suddenly heard whispers coming from his surroundings.
He looked up and saw a woman wearing a long robe that extended all the way to the ground behind her. She had dark purple hair and was wearing dark purple lipstick.
Who is she? A witch? Lars wondered. The woman then walked toward the exit, while Lars continued checking the forum.
’I get the idea now. So there are certain dungeons that contain rare materials that respawn at specific intervals. But to obtain them, I need a pickaxe or something capable of extracting those materials.’
Lars then walked back to the Smithing Area. He asked if they were selling any pickaxes. George was annoyed at first, but he still sold Lars an iron pickaxe. It was the lowest-quality material among the available options.
Lars then used Inspection on the Iron Pickaxe.

Grade: F
Effect: None

"Rank F, huh? But it’s not time to be picky. After I’m done making the weapon, I will move back to District 50 with Max and Ryuken to search for clues about Celine."
After Lars used Inspection, the Iron Pickaxe blueprint was immediately stored in his Blacksmith Archive.
Lars had already decided which dungeon he needed to visit. It was the Rank 5 Hobgoblin Cave. It was a ten-floor dungeon with the highest concentration of materials more valuable than Iron and Steel: Magic Ore.
As soon as he exited the Dungeon Hub and rode his scooter, a few vans began slowly following him from a distance.
"Don’t let him get away! This time, we will get him for good!" Thom said.
