"Wait here," Milady said nonchalantly, strutting toward the back kitchen.

Moments later, she returned carrying a tray with two plates of warm rice, savory-smelling grilled chicken, and sweet iced tea. The aroma hit Ray’s nose instantly, making his stomach scream even louder. Without asking, Milady set the food on the table and sat opposite him.

"Eat up," Milady said softly, sliding a plate toward him.

Ray, already boiled over with rage, grabbed his chopsticks. "What the fuck did you do to Karl, bitch?! Answer me first!"

Milady sighed, propping her chin on one hand while stirring her iced tea. "Man, this fucking dog is loud as shit. Eat first and stop barking. My food ain’t poisoned. If I wanted you dead, I’d’ve chopped your fucking head off yesterday." She said flatly.

Ray clenched his fists, but his agonizing hunger won out. Furious, he dug in ravenously. Milady just watched him while gracefully picking at a small piece of her chicken. The cafe was quiet for ten minutes, save for the clinking of cutlery.

The second Ray shoved the last spoonful in and chugged his iced tea down to the ice, he wiped his mouth roughly. "I ate. Now spill it. What’s up with Karl?"

Milady smirked, tidying the dirty plates. "Karl got a System."

Ray’s eyes bulged, damn near popping out of their sockets. "What?! A System?! So... Karl was the one who found that junk slot machine?!"

"Bingo," Milady replied deadpan.

"How the fuck?! When?!" Ray pressed, his memory instantly racing back to when he was with Karl.

"How the hell should I know when," Milady shrugged, crossing her arms. "I was just bored and checked up on Karl’s life when you got busted yesterday. Curiosity, you know? Wondering what your little bestie was up to while you were rotting in a cell. And... voila, found him wandering if system panel is real or just hallucination because of stress."

Ray frowned hard. "What’s his System? Don’t tell me he got a combat or mind-control System like your ass?"

Milady scoffed, waving her hand dismissively. "Hell no. Karl’s System is fucking useless for world domination. He just got a Business System."

"Huh? A Business System?" Ray let out a bewildered chuckle. "How is it that fucking weird?"

"Of course it is, darling. Anything’s in that piece-of-shit slot machine. That’s random fate for you," Milady explained. She sat up straight, locking eyes with Ray. "Oh yeah, one important thing. I’m forbidding you from doing your daily mission until this afternoon, right when our plan starts."

Ray instantly bugged out in a panic. "Are you fucking insane?! I’m running low on points! If I wait till this afternoon, I’m gonna run out of points and getting leveled down!!"

"Shut up and just listen. You’re doing it this afternoon on stream. Your points ain’t gonna drain in a few hours. Trust your fucking master," Milady cut him off cold.

Ray gritted his teeth, but he had no damn choice but to agree. "Fine, whatever the fuck you say! I’ll do it this afternoon."

A few hours later, Ray was in his new apartment, a short-term rental tucked away from media eyes. The room was dead silent. Ray decided to take a bubble bath, trying to wash off the stench of the holding cell and the mental stress crushing him these past few days.

Warm water cascaded over his body. Ray closed his eyes, leaning his head against the edge of the tub. Thoughts about Karl, Milady, and Global Alter spun in his head like a fucked-up carousel.

After thirty minutes of chilling out, Ray stepped out with a towel wrapped around his waist. Right as he grabbed his phone off the table, a WhatsApp notification popped up.

**Julia** was on the screen.

*[Julia: Don’t think you’re getting away with this, Ray. We’re gathering new evidence. You’re in way bigger shit than before!]*

Ray glanced at the text with a deadpan look. "Retard," he muttered under his breath. He didn’t even bother replying, swiping away to check other notifications.

Right below Julia’s message was one from Sonya, a gorgeous older woman he’d been casually messing around with lately.

[Sonya: Ray, you’re free right? I was so worried. We need to meet up right now, I need to know where we stand.]

Ray exhaled sharply. Given how fucked up everything was getting, he couldn’t keep leading Sonya on. "Fuck it, let’s wrap this up."

Twenty minutes later, Ray was at a low-key city park. He wore a heavy jacket, a cap, and a black face mask pulled tight to hide his face. Before long, Sonya walked up, looking anxious as hell.

"Ray..." Sonya called softly.

"Son," Ray cut her off, voice muffled behind the mask. "Let’s cut to the chase. We gotta take a break."

Sonya stared, shocked. "What?! Why, Ray? I just want to support you!"

"I got too much shit going on. You see the media smearing my name. I ain’t trying to drag you into this," Ray lied through his teeth, putting on a serious act. "And real talk... I ain’t playing around with us. I give a shit about you, that’s why I need us to fall back."

Sonya looked moved, her eyes glassing over. She nodded softly and hugged Ray for a sec before walking away with mixed feelings.

As soon as she was out of sight, Ray let out a sigh of relief, rolling his eyes behind his mask. ’Man, I just wanted to smash,’ Ray thought cynically. He knew damn well he was using her, but right now she was just extra baggage.

Heading to the location for Milady’s plan, Ray pulled up his System panel. Instantly, his body froze and cold sweat broke out on his temples.

[Remaining Points: 10]

’Fuck! Only 10 points left?!’ Ray screamed internally. ’This is all because of that fucking bitch Milady telling me to postpone the daily mission!’

’I heard that, darling~’ Milady’s voice echoed straight inside Ray’s head, making him jump.

’Fuck, get out of my head!’ Ray cursed internally.

’Get your ass to the abandoned park on the edge of town right now. Time to execute the plan,’ Milady ordered, ignoring his cussing.

Following orders, Ray rushed over to the small park. The place was totally trashed, covered in weeds with rotting wooden benches. Dead silent, far from traffic.

Ray pulled out his phone and dropped a quick post on X (Twitter):

[Gonna stream real quick. Just wanna talk a bit about those rumors from yesterday.]

In seconds, the post blew up with thousands of reposts and comments. Ray then picked up a simple daily mission from his System that read: [Alter human emotional/anger gestures]

Without wasting time, Ray flipped on the most dangerous feature in his System: Global Alter.

Hidden behind the leafy trees at the corner of the park, Milady stood with her arms crossed, watching Ray from afar with a subtle smirk.

Ray started typing the confirmation text into his System’s Global Alter box, putting in some absurd shit:

[The gesture for expressing anger is now twerking]

Ray set up his tripod, mounted his phone, and sat on the park bench, tweaking the lighting a bit. His livestream view count shot up instantly to hundreds of thousands in under a minute.

Ray pulled off his mask, staring straight into the camera lens.

"Yo, what’s up everyone," Ray started, his voice a bit raspy, getting the bullshit rolling. "I just wanna talk real quick about those trash allegations dropped on me yesterday. I’m honestly pissed at how fast people fall for wild rumors with zero proof..."

As he kept venting his frustration, Ray’s hand below the camera frame moved instinctively. With a stealthy finger movement, Ray hit [CONFIRM] on the Global Alter panel.

[Ding!]

An invisible wave of reality surged out from Ray’s body, hacking the global structure of human consciousness.

Right after pressing it, Ray went straight into his extra acting routine per Milady’s script. His head suddenly slouched, eyes blinking heavily like they were weighed down by tons.

"Ugh... what the..." Ray feigned dizziness, making his voice sound panicked and terrified in front of the live camera.

He deliberately slipped off the bench onto the grassy ground, clutching his head. "I’m... I’m so fucking sleepy... shit... I feel like something’s about to happen..."

Ray kept slurring his act, body shaking, "So damn sleepy... it’s gonna..."

Click.

Before Ray could even finish his acting line, a mysterious energy from Milady shot straight through his consciousness. That fake sleepiness instantly morphed into pure, pitch-black reality.

From a distance, Milady flicked her finger, knocking Ray out cold onto the dirt, leaving the stream running live on his collapsed body while the outside world started breaking into pure absurd chaos.

[HOLY SHIT IS HE DEAD?!]

[Bro passed out live on stream??]

The chat went fucking crazy, comments flying so fast the screen was a blur. Hundreds of thousands of viewers were losing their minds, wondering what the fuck was about to happen. What kind of weird phenomenon was taking over? One viewer commented:

[We ain’t gonna know what the fuck is happening until this weird phenomenon is over.]

---

Cut to Hime Nature.

She was live on her stream, completely losing her shit because people in her chat were accusing her of being a fake prophet and calling her a total fraud.

"I AM NOT A FRAUD, YOU BASTARDS!" Hime screamed, red-faced with pure rage.

Driven completely insane by anger, she suddenly slammed her hands on the desk, stood up, turned her back to the camera, and started twerking brutally.

----

Ray woke up with a sharp gasp. A System prompt popped up right in front of his eyes:

[Daily Mission Complete: +10 Alter Points, +10 EXP]

For a second, Ray felt a wave of nostalgia, just like the day he first unlocked the System. But he quickly snapped back to reality—the livestream was still running live.

He leaned into the camera, clearing his throat. "Chat... did something weird just happen?"

The comment section instantly blew up. The 10-minute Global Alter effect had just ended, and people were losing their minds.

’BRO HIME NATURE WAS JUST SHAKING HER BUTT IN FRONT OF THOUSANDS OF VIEWERS!’

Ray’s lips twitched. He wanted to burst out laughing so bad, but he forced himself to hold it in.
