In an instant, his eyes were completely flooded by the twisted colors that blotted out the sky, colors that loomed above the black mist beneath his feet, that stretched across the higher heavens, a mad riot of hues blanketing the entire hell—the very antithesis of all life and order, the purest, most extreme embodiment of chaos and disorder!

It was a canopy of colors spanning across the sky above hell!

And in that single moment of seeing it, his hollow pupils began to vibrate at an extreme, high frequency, his vision becoming densely covered with patches of color spots crawling across his sight.

Boom—

Right at the boundary where the colors met the black mist, amid the shrieking, his eyes exploded into countless mists of blood.

At the same time, at least half of the Colossus consciousnesses within the Mental Space exploded violently. The entire mental space, along with every inch of ground beneath Lynn’s feet, began to ooze and sprout patches of gaudy, chaotic color, so maddened that it nearly warped the very composition of everything around.

Lynn stumbled backward, his eyes hollow, two streams of blood trickling from his eye sockets.

That aura!

That mad, frenzied aura!

This was completely different from his brief, hasty glance in that high-dimensional state last time. This time, he was truly facing the colors of the hell’s boundary head-on!

"What is that… what is it?!"

The Colossus's Brain clawed painfully at his own face with all his might, his fingers nearly digging into his flesh. Every cell in his body began to disintegrate. Even his divinity, under the illumination of those colors, rumbled and almost collapsed.

"I told you before."

Lynn's consciousness began to break apart under the influence of those turbulent colors. His gaze was hollow, but he could clearly feel the violet magic circle inscribed on his bones faintly glowing, neutralizing the effects of the disorder for him.

"This is the boundary of hell… a chasm even gods cannot cross…"

"The stronger you are, the harder it is to break free…"

Lynn struggled to his feet, shattered, panting as he said:

"Go back! While you're still alive! Now! Immediately! Go!"

"No!"

In that moment, the Colossus let out a savage roar toward the sky. The consciousness exploded with a mad, desperate, all-consuming ruthlessness. The shattered Colossus, under its control, mustered its final strength and leaped once more, charging into the mad colors in a last-ditch assault.

Like a soaring eagle trying to break through the sky's blockade.

"You can't trap me!! You can't lock me in this hell!! You can't!!"

He wanted to go home!

Back to the world that belonged to him!

He had schemed in that hell for three thousand years. Every effort he had made was for this very moment. He had nothing left to lose. Even if he had to die, he would fight to the death!

"You madman! You're courting death!"

At that moment, Lynn didn't hesitate. Gritting his teeth, he was about to sever his mental connection with the Colossus.

But just as he was about to turn and leave.

He paused.

As if he had made some insane decision.

He cursed loudly, strapped Zuo Zuo firmly onto his back, then spun around sharply. His eyes splitting, he sprinted and leaped wildly toward the light dot above the mental space, the one about to be devoured by the patches of color.

"If you really want to die that badly, then give me the Colossus's Heart! I can at least leave a seed for you!!"

Lynn roared.

That flying leap let him grab hold of the Colossus's Brain's illusory form.

Without any hesitation.

His hand reached out and seized the illusory heart that the Brain was holding, the one still beating. The moment he touched it, his consciousness established a connection with that pulsing, vibrant heart without any obstruction.

Because he had been the host of the Colossus's Heart for nearly two years, and his consciousness had long since borne most of the heart's authority.

Lynn's mind trembled violently.

And in that instant of feeling the Colossus's Heart's pulse, Lynn swore that this would absolutely be the craziest idea he had ever come up with in all his many, many near-death experiences.

He wanted to cut off the Colossus's Heart's supply to the entire Colossus body, severing the source of power that sustained the entire giant.

He knew he could do it!

Because Zuo Zuo had already merged with him, and before the Colossus's Heart could birth a new consciousness, he was still the one with the highest authority over it—he was still the Colossus's Heart!

A fierce, ruthless look swept into Lynn's eyes.

He clenched his teeth.

"Cut the power!"

Hmm—

In that instant, the terrifying blood mist that had been supporting the Colossus's upward leap abruptly disconnected. The massive heart stopped beating, severing its supply of power to the entire giant.

The colossal form, which had been leaping upward, finally stalled like an engine cutting out, its crimson radiance dimming and fading away.

And under the Colossus's Brain's hollow gaze.

The massive Colossus fell like a free-falling object, plummeting downward, the nearly touchable mad colors gradually receding as it fell apart.

The outstretched finger.

Bit by bit, it dissolved into scattering fragments.

Then, with a resounding crash, it fell into the endless black mist, the mad colors instantly swallowed by the darkness, leaving nothing but infinite blackness.

"No… no! No!!"

His body trembled in a daze.

He struggled desperately.

A blazing light erupted from his entire body, and he let out a long, sharp howl. He wanted to tear Lynn apart, to obliterate this bastard who had usurped his control over the Colossus's Heart.

He wanted to ascend. He wanted to take that step. Because he could clearly feel that on the other side of those mad colors was the world he had fallen from!

Just one step short!

Just one…

"Don't be an idiot!"

Lynn's furious roar echoed through the entire mental space.

He gripped the illusory Colossus's Heart in the Brain's hands tightly, his other hand clenching the phantom even harder. Violet light flickered all over his body.

"Rushing up there only has one outcome—death! You may not care about yourself, but you can't drag all the Colossus consciousnesses following you to their deaths just because of your personal will! Haven't you been saying they're your subjects?! Haven't you said that the tradition of the Colossus Civilization is to find that raven?!"

"Then tell me, if the entire Colossus is destroyed, how do you plan to carry out your tradition?! You're pushing your civilization off a cliff!"

That deafening, savage roar made the Colossus's Brain's whole body tremble.
