Battles raged everywhere, coordination between supernatural beings was hard, especially those with completely different abilities.
Which made the pack such a unique case but even within the pack, the strongest of them were fighting individual battles.
Individual on their sides as each was facing multiple opponents at the same time, this led to the death of multiple enemies rapidly.
In less than a hour the army of 25 000 strong dropped to less than 10 000, the pack was yet to lose a single member.
It was inconceivable to them, they came here with confidence but that confidence has died a while go.
They scrambled to run and pushed each other to save themselves, the army crumbled in front of their eyes.
The seven leaders gritted their teeth, they were ready to take action when the werewolves started slowing down.
Inside the castle, Adrian stood up, his eyes squinted and gently waved his hand in the air causing visible ripples that moved with his hand.
" Something is drawing away the lunar esper." Said Adrian.
Annie frowned, " Yeah, I can feel it trying to drain mine as well, this is bad, at this rate.." she paused.
Both felt it, two werewolves had just fallen, they were part of the young batch turned not long ago.
Before they could register that, three more fell one after another. " I’m going." He teleported out.
Then he stumbled mid air and almost fell, ’ It’s this bad.’ the castle was blocking most of the effects of whatever this was.
The rate at which his esper left his body after he went out was staggering, more than 10 times than before.
His left eye turned into a black spiral and he tried to read what he was looking at and all he saw was a region with a strong electromagnetic force.
He looked up at the dark clouds covering the entire sky and the flickers of lightning dancing through them like snakes.
’ I see.’ he saw tendrils of their lunar esper leaving their bodies and flowing up to the sky like rivers.
The clouds grew darker as they absorbed more lunar esper and grew stronger as well, it was self feeding system.
The source of it all pointed at the demons standing behind the army, Adrian felt his rage explode.
" GREEEEEED!" He roared so loud the sky quaked. Behind the enemy army, greed smiled but he didn’t respond.
Adrian raised his hand to the sky and tried to summon his wheel to offset the effect of this domain.
However nothing happened, he felt himself connecting to it and tried to pull it but it felt as if it was anchored.
’ What’s happening?’ Adrian wondered then decided to go check it out. " I’ll be back." He told Annie.

Back home.
A plumb woman with horns was surrounded by two women who looked similar to each other.
This was Athanathi and her mother, the plumb woman was naturally one of the sins, Gluttony.
Gluttony giggled, " Your willingness to risk your lives is admirable children, unfortunately I can’t eat you.
I can’t exactly afford to cut all bridges with him, however you would be mistaken to assume you can stop me."
Before the mother and daughter duo could react, a black mouth appeared and devoured Beelzebub.
They were left there confused and Adrian appeared out of thin air a moment later then they understood.
Gluttony just didn’t want to face Adrian, Adrian nodded at them and disappeared again.
The sky was empty, his wheel had been stolen by Gluttony but Adrian could still sense it.
He chased after her using his void tunneling, Adrian was fuming with rage, he couldn’t remember the last time he was still angry.
Everything combined with Alex’s death was slowly sending him to the edge, he was starting to feel something he had long forgotten, himself losing control.

Back on the battlefield.
As soon as Adrian disappeared, the seven level 8 leaders of the enemy army looked at each other.
Then nodded and took action but one of them was slower than others and his eyes were paler.
They tried targeting the Delta werewolves but the castle fired large beams of pure lunar esper.
The beams were definitely weaker than before so Annie did the only thing she could and fired more.
If quality was not enough then she would rely on quantity, this naturally drained more energy from the castle.
Combined with this domain, she figured at this rate it would be a miracle of the castle lasted a day.
Greed and Envy watched this with amusement, they received a message from Gluttony.
" It seems we owe sister a big one this time." Said greed to Envy.
" Ke ke ke, no matter, as long we have that and this." She pointed at the castle, it seemed the wheel wasn’t their only target.
" Still I have to say sister, these spawns of destruction truly are tenacious, even after being weakened so much they’re still holding on." Said greed.
It was true, the werewolves were moving slower now, their reactions were slower and so was their strength but killing them was still incredibly hard.
They all knew that you needed to either cut their heads off or rip their hearts out but even then, it was not so easy.
Both their necks and hearts were protected by some sort of armour, plus even being so weakened, they were still very durable.
It took multiple people at the same level just to pin down a single werewolf but that was an issue.
They no longer outnumbered them by that much and the werewolves had more level 7 fighters now.
The level 7 members of the opposite army had dwindled into less than 20, mind you they outnumbered the werewolves initially.
But died one after another to the werewolves so besides the initial five, no other werewolf had fallen.
They were gravely wounded and even their regeneration was slowing down but they were still standing.
Sam realised they were still at a disadvantage, even his enemy was starting to keep up to his speed.
The omega had it worse, they were not as durable as transformed werewolves or had as much esper.
He looked back at the castle firing beams of pure lunar esper everywhere and sighed with relief.
’ If it wasn’t for that, we’d be in trouble.’ There were also Eve’s parents holding back two of the seven level 8 leaders.
Then a tremendous aura blasted out, Eve took action but before she could attack, two equally powerful aura met hers.
’ Damnit Adrian, where are you dude?’Sam wondered.

At the peak of a tall mountain, Adrian stood opposite Gluttony, " I don’t get it, why are you doing this?" He asked in a low growl.
" Isn’t it obvious? It’s payback." Gluttony answered.
