Before they could respond he disappeared and appeared in front of the Avian. The Avian reacted too slowly.
He tried to fly but a powerful hand choked his neck and lifted him up with his feet dangling above the ground.
Everybody turned their eyes towards the man in silver armour and gulped. No matter how hard they tried they couldn’t sense anything from him.
Then in front of their eyes he stabbed the Avian in the chest with a huge sword before proceeding to rip his heart out.
While everybody was surprised by that, they heard a loud scream and turned towards a woman wailing on her knees.
They followed her gaze to the back of Render who still stood there with his sword in the same attacking position.
Then the sword fell to the ground stabbing straight through the earth. His head slid off his neck and rolled on the ground.
His eyes were still wipe with suprise and confusion, he couldn’t understand how he had died.
None of them understood the power Adrian wielded at the moment, even when he first reached level 7.
And had unstable and wounded esper veins, he was still able to match three Espara at level 8 including Render.
Now with fully healed esper veins and at the peak of level 7 with much more esper, his power has grown significantly since then.
By himself relying purely on his strength, he would at most be a match for somebody like Render but that’s the issue, he wasn’t relying solely on his strength.
Adrian had six main weapons from the wheel, each one with the power to increase his strength.
Of course using them came at a cost, he couldn’t use them forever as they placed a strain on his body and soul.
Similar to how Annie can’t use the castle forever or she might feel like her head was splitting apart.
Currently he was fully clan in the armour, wielding the sword on his right hand and the chain wrapped around his body.
His power was significantly higher than his normal strength, even without transforming he managed to kill two level 8 enemies in the blink of an eye.
Adrian’s eyes scanned the battlefield and saw the weakened state of the pack then he raised his hand to the sky.
A small wheel with three rings spinning in opposite directions appeared above his hand.
It rose to the sky and kept expanding until it reached dozens of Kilometres covering the entire sky above the battlefield.
Behind the army, Greed gritted his teeth, his eyes burning with rage. " Gluttony betrayed us." Said greed in a venomous voice.
" My my brother, that’s a heavy accusation, our deal was that I steal the wheel while he’s here and I did that.
The fact that he caught up and took it back is no fault of mine, I fulfilled my promise, now you owe me." Said Gluttony.
Greed glared at her with rage, " No fault of yours, your strength has already reached that of a Demigod.
There is now way that child managed to catch to you, let alone take anything forcefully." Argued Greed.
" Ke ke ke, we’re demons brother, We’re sins, you should’ve known better than to make a deal whose words can be twisted against you.
As much as I detest this, sister is right, she’s fulfilled her end of the bargain, it’s your fault for not being specific." Argued Envy.
Even though they were technically siblings, sins did not really trust each other, each was driven by their own goals.
They would scheme against each other at any chance they got and would never help each other without benefits.
Consequently, each deal they have is signed and a devils contract cannot be violated, not even by demons.
Devil’s contracts were bound by the same rule that bound fairies and Djinn which is why demons rely on wordplay since they couldn’t outright lie on a contract.
" Fine, then how about another deal this time sister, kill the heart of destruction and I’ll owe you another favour." Greed made a suggestion.
Gluttony giggled, " Oh brother, you know as well as I do the heart of destruction cannot die, not by our hands, I’ll pass.
Good luck though, he seems not very pleased with you, I wonder what he’ll do when he awakens."
Both Greed and Envy’s eyes shuddered when Gluttony spoke of him awakening. Gluttony disappeared leaving both of them standing there.
" We failed this time brother, oh how I envy the unity of them, the love, I want it, I want it."
Envy was having one of her episodes and started ripping out her own hair which grew back a moment later.
Still, she controlled her own envy and disappeared. Being envious was not too crippling.
It made her obsessed but at the same it made her patient, she would wait for the perfect moment then steal all they have.
It was not time to take everything yet, he was yet to awaken, only when he does will she have her chance.
Greed was different, he was a collector of all that’s valuable but he was different from Envy.
Envy envied all that others have, all that others held dear or enjoyed which included the pain of masochists or their treasures.
He merely wanted all the material things of value, he was greed itself and all wealth was his by birthright.
Currently he welded many weapons and magic treasures that he’s stolen over the years since his seal broke.
Some he found in the wilderness as lost weapons that disappeared during the ancient and old wars.
That was part of his power, the more weapons he had, the stronger he was, he could also use all weapons.
Seeing he couldn’t take the wheel himself, he spread out his authority like a disease that infected everybody on the battlefield.
Adrian watched him too all this, Greed’s authority infected even the werewolves but not all of them.
After all, greed can only enhance what is already there, he couldn’t create greed where it never existed.
And most werewolves were not greedy nor envied what Adrian had, his treasures were his and that accepted that fully.
Those effected also didn’t take action, they might want them but they wanted to serve the pack more.
That desire overcame the greed. Their enemies though were quite different. They ignored the werewolves.
Those who can fly took to the sky trying to reach for the wheel. Adrian lowered his raised hand.
A blinding silver light covered the entire battlefield and werewolves felt their strength returning to them.
More than that, they felt much stronger than before, " AWOOOOO!" Their howled pierced through the night sky.
Adrian transformed as well, his armour changed with him to match his body and the sword grew larger as well.
A beam of light descended from the wheel and he grabbed it with his left hand, the beam of light turned out to be a shield.
Adrian gained another surge of strength, " Kill." He ordered.
