A fifth-level Spirit Immortal who abandoned all concern for his own survival was a terrifying opponent. Sword rays flooded the sky beneath his desperate assault, converging upon Liu Wuxie from every direction.

Liu Wuxie regarded the overwhelming attack with complete indifference. His attention had already shifted to finding an escape route from the Ancient Origin Spatial Realm. He raised the Bloodthirst Blade and executed Instant Flash, sending the strike forward with the violence of a thunderbolt.

Blood erupted into the air. The blade tore through the curtain of sword rays, shattering them like brittle ice before they dissolved back into heaven and earth.

A wound as fine as a strand of hair appeared across the youth's neck. Blood burst from it an instant later, and he collapsed with unwillingness burning in his eyes. Until his final breath, he could not understand how a dignified Spirit Immortal had fallen to a mere True Immortal.

Liu Wuxie devoured the youth's energy and laws, then collected both interspatial rings, and chose a direction before swiftly departing.

Unlike most footwork immortal arts, which demanded vast reserves of immortal energy, the Divine Ninefold Step consumed remarkably little.

After traveling for several hours, Liu Wuxie combined Ghost Pupil with the Divine Tribulation Pupil and discovered three additional Metalline Stones.

"This place is nothing as I expected," Liu Wuxie murmured.

By the time half a day had passed, he gradually realized that his journey had carried him in circles. Many other cultivators inside the Ancient Origin Spatial Realm had also begun noticing the same bizarre phenomenon.

Liu Wuxie stopped and carefully studied the surrounding terrain. Within his mind, he reconstructed every route he had taken until a complete map gradually emerged. The instant he saw its shape, a chill swept down his spine.

The region resembled a crescent moon at first glance. On closer inspection, however, it looked like an enormously magnified human lung. The horrifying realization left Liu Wuxie frozen where he stood.

"Could we have entered the lungs of a primordial giant?" Liu Wuxie wondered aloud as an astonishing possibility took shape in his mind.

The ground possessed the softness and elasticity of flesh, while boundless metal-attribute energy saturated the region. Both discoveries strengthened his speculation.

After all, the lungs corresponded to the metal attribute. Every strand of metal-attribute energy Liu Wuxie absorbed flowed into his lungs, tempering them and gradually turning them a faint gold. Whenever the energy circulated through them, metallic clangs rang out like the cries of countless swords.

If his theory proved correct, the implications were almost too terrifying to contemplate. Liu Wuxie could hardly imagine the primordial giant’s true scale. Its lungs alone spanned thousands of miles, so its complete body must have towered beyond the heavens, each stride carrying it hundreds of thousands of miles.

If a primordial giant of that scale truly existed, how did it ever survive?

For now, Liu Wuxie's theory remained mere speculation. He could not rule out the possibility that every clue he had discovered was coincidental.

Even if the Ancient Origin Spatial Realm truly were the corpse of a primordial giant, no one would believe such a claim. Nevertheless, every piece of evidence pointed toward that conclusion, particularly the entrance shaped like an enormous mouth.

Far away, several prodigies gathered and compared maps of the routes they had traveled. Their conclusion matched Liu Wuxie's. This region possessed a ninety percent resemblance to a human lung.

Everyone who heard the discovery reeled in shock.

The news traveled swiftly among the cultivators. In less than two hours, nearly everyone inside the Ancient Origin Spatial Realm had heard the theory that they were trapped within a human lung.

Meanwhile, Liu Wuxie continued for several hundred miles before stopping again.

"If this truly is a lung, I need to find the passage connecting it to the other organs. That may be the only way out," Liu Wuxie murmured.

All the organs were interconnected. As long as Liu Wuxie found the correct passage, he could eventually discover a way out. Since everyone had entered through the mouth, it was only natural that they had reached the lungs first.

The breath drawn into the lungs nourished the heart and sustained its vitality. Therefore, any passage leading onward from the lungs would most likely connect to the heart.

The region's overwhelming size made that passage exceedingly difficult to locate. Even after searching with Ghost Pupil for half a day, Liu Wuxie still found no sign of the exit.

Thousands of cultivators had already dispersed in every direction, all searching for the same passage. Without a sun, moon, or stars overhead, they could only measure the passage of time with hourglasses.

Before anyone noticed, an entire day and night had slipped away. Cultivators had already excavated most of the Metalline Stones exposed on the surface, and nearly a hundred people had died fighting over them.

According to Liu Wuxie's calculations, dawn should have arrived. Yet despite remaining awake throughout the entire day and night, he felt no exhaustion.

As he crossed from the left lung into the right, he noticed a peculiar difference. The left lung felt considerably firmer than the right, and the ground beneath his feet barely yielded. He wondered whether he had overlooked something important.

Without hesitation, he activated Ghost Pupil and the Divine Tribulation Pupil together and directed his vision beneath the surface. An invisible force soon obstructed his sight.

Strange laws unfolded before him, each shimmering with dazzling golden radiance and releasing a terrifying aura. They intertwined like strands of solidified thunder.

"How strange. An astonishing concentration of divine metal force is hidden deep inside these lungs," Liu Wuxie murmured.

The divine metal force was dozens of times more potent than ordinary metal-attribute energy. If Liu Wuxie obtained it, the Metal Realm within the Desolate World would undergo a tremendous transformation. More importantly, that power could help him break through to the eighth-level True Immortal Realm.

This was an exceedingly rare opportunity. As long as Liu Wuxie possessed sufficient resources, he could continue to advance without any bottlenecks. That had always been one of his greatest advantages.

Other cultivators often spent years accumulating strength and tempering their foundations before attempting a breakthrough. Liu Wuxie's circumstances were entirely different.

Ghost Pupil had revealed only a tiny fraction of what lay concealed below, so he couldn't calculate how much divine metal force the lungs actually contained. Such divine power had existed only during the Primeval Era and had become nearly impossible to find in the modern celestial realm.

The fierce battles raging throughout the region had likely fractured the ground, allowing the divine metal force buried beneath the surface to seep upward through the cracks.

"What incredible divine metal force! We've struck it rich," people exclaimed.

More than a dozen cultivators gathered roughly a thousand meters from Liu Wuxie. A fissure had opened beneath their feet, and they could barely restrain themselves from plunging inside.

Similar fissures continued spreading throughout the region. Before long, another opened beside Liu Wuxie.

Liu Wuxie immediately activated Ghost Pupil and followed the fissure downward. An endless darkness waited below, forming a bottomless abyss that extended beyond the limits of his vision. The lungs were not only inconceivably vast but also descended to depths of at least several thousand meters.

If a creature of such immense proportions drew one deep breath, it could probably drain every trace of immortal energy from Eastern Emperor City.

The Sky Devouring Divine Cauldron was already terrifying, yet it still paled in comparison to a primordial giant. However, the cauldron remained in its growth phase. Once it reached its pinnacle, it would possess the power to devour heaven and earth.

The fissure was barely more than a foot wide, far too narrow for anyone to pass through.

Numerous cultivators drew their weapons and began widening the fissures, hoping to descend and search for divine metal force. The swordsmen were especially eager, as absorbing that power could greatly strengthen their sword techniques.

As the Desolate World pulsed with growing urgency, Liu Wuxie stomped his right foot against the ground, forcing the fissure open. Only then did he realize that the cracks were actually meridians extending throughout the lungs.

Descending through them would not lead into an underground world. Instead, the cultivators would be entering the enormous network of meridians running through the lungs.

Liu Wuxie plunged into the fissure and began navigating a sprawling web of branching meridians. Cultivators had entered from countless different locations, and no one knew where the twisting passages would ultimately lead.

The width of each passage changed constantly, expanding in certain places before narrowing sharply in others. Whenever a meridian constricted, crushing pressure closed in from every direction, creating a suffocating weight across their chests.

Liu Wuxie abruptly stopped when a colossal Metalline Stone appeared before him, as large as a washbasin.

"What an enormous Metalline Stone," Liu Wuxie exclaimed, a smile spreading across his face as he swiftly collected it.

Other meridians also contained Metalline Stones. Many cultivators were already fighting over them, and the violent collisions sent powerful tremors through the surrounding passages. Because numerous meridians were connected, the disturbance from one battle rapidly spread into the others.

The passage ahead forked into two paths. Guided by the Desolate World, Liu Wuxie selected the left branch. The meridian narrowed considerably, leaving barely enough space for one person to pass.

Metalline Stones appeared before him from time to time. Within only two hours, Liu Wuxie collected five. He immediately tossed each one into the Sky Devouring Divine Cauldron, where it dissolved into metal-attribute energy, nourishing the Desolate World.

Just as Liu Wuxie had anticipated, the influx of metal-attribute energy caused the Metal Realm to expand at an astonishing rate. The Heavenly Crest Divine Blade Art strengthened alongside it and became increasingly formidable. The more metal-attributed energy Liu Wuxie accumulated, the greater the destructive force behind his attacks became.

As the metal-attribute energy continued strengthening the Desolate World, the realm slowly evolved. Golden sword runes gradually appeared across its sky.

Without warning, a violent current tore through the passage and slammed into Liu Wuxie. It had originated from the other two meridians and unmistakably carried the aftermath of a battle between Profound Immortals.

The violent collision sent cracks racing across the surrounding passages. Numerous smaller meridians ruptured under the impact, trapping and immobilizing the cultivators within. They could only call for help from those farther away.

As Liu Wuxie approached the source, another shockwave struck him head-on, hurling him into a neighboring passage.

"What a terrifying impact," Liu Wuxie exclaimed.

Only a clash between cultivators at the pinnacle of the Profound Immortal Realm could release such devastating force.

"I found this Metalline Stone first! You dare try to take it from me?!" an enraged voice thundered from the depths, reverberating through the winding passages.

"What a joke! I was the one who discovered it first," another booming voice answered. The reply rolled through the meridians like thunder, overwhelming the first speaker.

If cultivators at the pinnacle of the Profound Immortal Realm were willing to fight over a Metalline Stone, it could not possibly be ordinary. At the very least, it had to be as large as a washbasin.

Liu Wuxie had no intention of getting involved in their conflict. Unless he obtained a vast number of sword runes, he possessed little chance of defeating a cultivator at the pinnacle of the Profound Immortal Realm.

He had already consumed most of his sword runes when he had killed Wen Qiong and the others. Even then, he had only succeeded because Ye Linghan had assisted him.

Liu Wuxie circled the battlefield, selected a broader meridian, and continued deeper into the network.

The farther he ventured, the more Metalline Stones appeared. Before long, he discovered several that each measured roughly the size of two washbasins.

Liu Wuxie's eyes lit up, and he immediately rushed toward them. Just as he reached out to collect them, a powerful sword ray erupted from his right and slashed down from above.

The meridians formed an interconnected network. If Liu Wuxie could see the Metalline Stones, other cultivators traveling through the nearby passages could see them as well.

"You're courting death!" Liu Wuxie snapped, fury flashing across his face.

He had discovered the Metalline Stones first, yet someone had launched a sneak attack at the exact moment he was about to collect them. Liu Wuxie countered with the Bloodthirst Blade, unleashing a powerful blade ray that blasted the incoming sword ray aside.
