Deviant Kings: Claimed by The Four Lycan Kings
Chapter 23: They Wanted Her DeadAuthor’s pov~
"My Lord, we are at the arena—"
"Shut up and listen to me," Zyran snarled into the receiver, his voice dropping into a guttural, terrifying Lycan growl. "The three rogue omegas Raven locked in the lower cells this morning. Do not touch them. Do not transfer them. Hold them under maximum lockdown."
There was a brief, stunned pause on the other end. "Sir, the High Council enforcers are already scheduling their interrogation—"
"I don’t care about the Council!" Zyran roared, his eyes flashing dangerously in the shadows. He gripped the edge of a wooden desk, the ancient wood splintering instantly under his fingers.
"If anyone so much as breathes near their cells before I get down there, I will have your head on a pike. Double the guard. Block all communication. Nobody goes in or out."
He slammed the phone shut, his breathing heavy and ragged.
Adeline thought he was the monster who had ordered her violation.
She was bleeding, broken, and terrified, and she blamed him. The thought made his blood run boiling hot.
Zyran turned on his heel, his heavy boots slamming against the marble floor as he stormed out of the classroom. The lazy, mocking prince was gone.
A lethal predator had just taken his place, and he was going to tear the academy apart until he found out who had put their hands on his target.

The damp air of the lower cells smelled of rust, mould and dark. Down here, far beneath the academic halls, the distant cheers from the combat arena died out entirely, replaced by the heavy, rhythmic clicking of Zyran’s boots.
He didn’t just walk into the cell block. He tore the heavy iron door off its hinges with a sickening screech of metal, tossing it aside like scrap paper.
Inside, the three rogue omegas were chained securely to the stone wall, their arms hoisted high by heavy silver-infused cuffs that kept their healing factors suppressed and their wolves locked away.
They were already bruised from when Raven had dragged them in, but the moment they saw Zyran’s face, the slight hope on their face vanished.
Zyran’s dark eyes weren’t just glowing; they were bleeding into a pitch-black, feral void. His Lycan aura flooded the small stone room, so thick and suffocating that it forced the breath right out of the prisoners’ lungs.
"Who gave the order?" Zyran asked. His voice wasn’t a roar. It was a low, freezing whisper that promised death.
He stepped up to the first omega, a burly wolf with a jagged scar across his throat. "Tell me right now, or I will tear your fucking throat out with my bare teeth."
The three omegas exchanged tense glances.
"What the fuck are you getting mad at us for, Prince?" the scarred omega growled, his voice straining against the heavy silver chains. "You sent the word down through the network. You asked us to scare the bitch. You wanted her out of the Lord Protector’s way. We did exactly what you wanted."
"I didn’t fucking tell you to touch her, you goddamn pieces of shit!" Zyran roared, his restraint snapping like a dry twig.
He drove his fist straight into the omega’s stomach. Because the man was chained, his body couldn’t absorb the impact; the sheer force of the blow shattered his lower ribs, the sound echoing like cracking gunshots in the small room. The omega vomited blood, his head hanging limp as he gasped for air.
The other two omegas winced, their chains rattling violently as they tried to pull away from the monster standing before them. They couldn’t fight back. They couldn’t shift into their wolves to protect themselves.
"Talk!" Zyran snarled, grabbing the second omega by the hair and yanking his head back until his neck cracked. "Who told you to put your fucking hands on her face? Who told you to break her? I fucking remember exactly ordering you to warn her, to scare her away so she would drop out."
"We got two orders, you dense royal bastard!" the third omega yelled out in a panic, his voice cracking as he saw the absolute madness in Zyran’s eyes.
"Your network told us to scare her away from the academy. But someone else—someone with a lot more fucking money—wanted her dead. They wanted her body left in the woods. We just took both offers because the payout was fucking massive! We figured we’d give her a verbal warning first to satisfy your little warning, then finish the job!"
Zyran’s heart stopped.
They wanted her dead.
Who? Why?
If Adeline hadn’t found a way and escaped from these fucking pieces of shits then Adeline would be a corpse right now.
So, there is someone who is plotting against Adeline to completely destroy her and make her gone as if she never existed without any evidence.
"Who?" Zyran whispered, his fingers digging so deeply into the second omega’s scalp that dark blood began to ooze from the skin. "Give me a name. Who paid you to kill her? You fucking assholes, who paid you?"
The omegas went dead silent. The third one clenched his jaw, staring at the floor. "We don’t get names for those kinds of hits. We just get the gold and the coordinates. We don’t fucking know."
"Wrong answer," Zyran growled.
He let go of the second omega’s hair and stepped toward the first one, the one whose ribs he had just crushed. Zyran gripped the man’s chin, forcing him to look up. "I’m going to ask one last time. Who put the hit out on Adeline? Think very carefully before you keep your mouth shut."
The scarred omega just gritted his bloody teeth and glared. But no one spoke.
Zyran completely lost it.
The beast took over.
With a guttural, terrifying roar, Zyran drove his bare hand straight into the scarred omega’s chest, his claws tearing through flesh, muscle, and bone like paper.
The man’s eyes widened in absolute, paralysed horror as Zyran’s fingers wrapped around his ribs and violently ripped them outward, exposing the pulsing heart beneath.
Before the omega could even scream, Zyran grabbed his throat with his other hand and wrenched it sideways, tearing the entire windpipe completely out of the neck in one swift, bloody jerk.
