’Devils?!’ Max’s expression also turned dark. He hadn’t forgotten what had happened to his world just because of a drop of blood from a being called True Origin Devil.

Even the four sacred ancestors had lost their calm.

The Valerius Ancestor’s sacred light erupted around him. "Impossible. Every devil in the Divine Realm was killed during the final war. The surviving remnants were driven out of the universe and sealed away. How could they possibly show up here?"

The Ravenhart Ancestor’s eyes narrowed sharply. "Unless the ancient records were wrong."

"No," the Ashbourne Ancestor said coldly, though a trace of shock slipped into his voice. "The records weren’t wrong. I personally saw the remnants of the devil army get destroyed."

The Evercrest Ancestor’s spatial roots twisted violently around him. "Then how did they get into our universe?"

The messenger forced himself to keep talking.

"They attacked several planets in a small star realm out near the outer regions. Local forces intercepted them, but the damage has already spread across multiple worlds. We got urgent reports through the sacred warning network. The aura’s been confirmed."

He swallowed hard.

"They’re not corrupted beasts. They’re not abyssal cultivators. They’re not some disguised race."

His voice trembled even more.

"They’re devils."

The arena fell into an even deeper uproar.

"Impossible!"

"Devils can’t exist in the Divine Realm!"

"They were all killed!"

"How could they have survived this long?"

"Were they hiding somewhere in the universe?"

"Could they have come from another universe?"

"Is there a passage connecting our universe to the outside?"

The shock was so massive that even the dispute between Max and the Voidwalker Clan got pushed aside for the moment. This wasn’t an internal conflict, an old historical dispute, or a bloodline accusation you could argue through ancestors and legacy tests. This was something that should have been impossible.

Devils had appeared in their Divine Realm. In their universe.

The younger descendants, already shaken by the Voidwalker truth, now turned pale for an entirely different reason. Many of them had only ever heard about devils in old war scriptures and ancestral warnings.

They’d been taught the devil race was exterminated from the Divine Realm long ago, that the final devil army had been destroyed, and that no devil could ever come back.

Yet now a messenger stood in front of them claiming devils had attacked their planets.

The clan heads’ expressions shifted sharply.

The Valerius head stared at the messenger. "You’re certain of this?"

"Yes!" the messenger replied urgently. "The aura was verified through the ancient devil-suppression formations. There’s no mistake. They’re genuine devils."

The Ashbourne head’s face turned grim. "How many?"

"The exact number’s unknown. The first report says only a vanguard showed up, but their power was strange. Some were weak, but a few were strong enough to destroy planetary defense formations. Local star realm forces are holding them off for now, but they’ve asked for immediate reinforcement."

The Ravenhart head’s gaze darkened. "Were there any warning signs before the attack?"

The messenger shook his head. "None that we detected. They just appeared suddenly, like a crack opened out of nowhere."

Max’s heart stirred.

A crack opened out of nowhere.

The First Progenitor’s unfinished warning echoed in his mind again.

’Watch out for Anover.’

His eyes narrowed slightly. He didn’t know if this devil attack was connected, but the timing felt far too strange to ignore.

The Evercrest head looked toward the four ancestors. "Ancestors, how is this even possible? If all the devils were killed in the Divine Realm long ago, where did these come from?"

The four sacred ancestors didn’t answer right away. Their expressions had turned extremely grave. Even the Voidwalker Ancestor frowned deeply. The old man had lived through the ancient era and understood better than anyone just how terrifying the devil race had once been. If devils had truly come back to the Divine Realm, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Freya’s face changed slightly too, and the thousands of Voidwalker descendants in the sky shifted their formation, their earlier hostility toward the Four Sacred Clans momentarily pushed aside by the sudden news.

The Valerius Ancestor looked at the messenger. "Which star realm?"

The messenger answered quickly. "The Veyrith Star Realm. It’s a small star realm under the protection route of the eastern Divine Realm forces."

The Ashbourne Ancestor’s eyes turned fierce. "How long ago did this start?"

"The first attack began less than an hour ago," the messenger said. "The report reached us through emergency channels only moments ago."

The Ravenhart Ancestor’s shadow feathers trembled faintly. "Less than an hour, and they’ve already hit several planets."

The Evercrest Ancestor’s spatial roots coiled tight. "This isn’t some random breach."

The Valerius Ancestor’s expression turned terrifyingly cold.

"If the devils were truly wiped out of the Divine Realm, then their appearance means someone opened a passage into our universe."

His gaze swept across the arena.

"Or something from outside the universe found a way in."

A heavy pressure spread across the arena. The Bloodline Legacy Battle had already collapsed into chaos, but now even that chaos felt beside the point.

The dispute between the Four Sacred Clans and the Voidwalker Clan was still unresolved.

Max still stood at the center of a mystery tangled up with the Dimensional Keeper Legacy, the sacred legacy, and the First Progenitor. The Voidwalker Clan was still sealed, and the four sacred ancestors hadn’t agreed to release them.

But the universe had moved before any of that could get settled.

Devils had appeared. Not in some distant, forgotten realm. Not on an ancient battlefield. They’d appeared right in the Divine Realm, inside their own universe. The entire Divine Realm might be about to get shaken to its core.

Max slowly looked up at Freya. Freya looked back down at him. Neither of them said anything. But both understood this was no ordinary interruption.

The Four Sacred Clans had just been forced to face their buried past. And at that exact moment, an ancient enemy that should have gone extinct had returned to their universe.

The head of the Valerius Clan looked at Max, then at the Voidwalker Ancestor, then at the messenger. His expression was ugly, but even he understood the situation had changed.

The argument over the Voidwalker Clan wouldn’t end here. But for now, the whole arena had been hit with news carrying the weight of war.

The messenger lowered his head and said in a shaking voice, "Masters, the forces of the Veyrith Star Realm are asking for immediate aid. If reinforcements don’t arrive soon, the devils might break through their defense line and spread into nearby star realms."

The arena sank into a grim silence. No one dared treat the devils as some distant legend anymore. They’d entered their universe. They’d attacked their planets. And no one knew how they’d come back.

The four sacred ancestors traded grave glances. The Voidwalker Ancestor looked toward the glowing statue of the First Progenitor.

Max’s hand slowly curled into a fist. And in his mind, one name echoed again.

Anover.
