Divine Emperor of Death

Davis’s avatar returned to the hidden obsidian flying palace along with Jaiyan.

The two of them laughed all the way as they repeatedly exchanged knowledge about the treasures they had collected. The central zone had about eight treasures. They managed to grab about six World Hegemon Grade Treasures while the rest of the two already belonged to a few powers and were contested by more powers.

Davis felt it was best if they didn’t interfere and decided to leave those to them.

Of the six they harvested, four were the Boundless Sea Dragon Marrow, Nine Mountains Cloud Essence, Myriad Poison Sovereign Vine, and the Voidheart Astral Orchid. The other two were still unknown, but they could tell the attributes, so they theorized.

Regardless, their speed was unmatched; they both knew Space Laws to traverse while the flying boat they used had the capacity to warp long distances in an instant. They shortly arrived at the obsidian flying palace after the day ended.

All of the treasures were kept stored tightly to keep in the Temporal Voidplane Ring later.

However, Davis wasn’t aware of Laphria Rinmei’s abilities, so he had tripped a trap, but he didn’t think anything of it since it wasn’t harmful.

When he made it back to the flying palace along with Jaiyan, the two of them were greeted by aghast ladies.

"Jaiyan!"

"Master...!"

Laphria pounced on Jaiyan while Lereza also did the same.

Jaiyan and Davis were confused about what happened while Evelynn sighed lightly in relief. She didn’t have a connection to his avatar, so she wasn’t able to tell it was him who was outside. But sure enough, it was his avatar. She felt that people could forget about possessing Davis in this layer since he had even gone toe to toe with two Supreme Rulers.

She let Lereza hug him.

’That poor child must have been scared since I told her how she died...’ Evelynn pursed her lips.

Evelynn then stepped forward to explain, and the confusion was cleared.

Jaiyan and Davis’s expressions were solemn.

"We’ll quickly leave to some safe place then." Davis said, "These kinds of dreams can’t be taken lightly. I’m not a believer of superstition, but karma and ghosts are real, and so is the Karmic Dimension that is also called the Dream Dimension. This could very well be a premonition granted by the strange connection between the Evilbane Hexweaver Arachnid that was affected by the Hell Poison Gem’s replica, and the replica that was nearly taken hold of by the Hell Hydra Monarch."

Evelynn couldn’t help but recall that scene where he went and kicked a Supreme Ruler of all people to their face because of her.

After all, the Hell Hydra Monarch was an apex being in the universe in terms of both bloodline and strength. Offending him was tantamount to suicide, and furthermore, they had the thought of gifting the Hell Hydra Monarch his Hell Poison Gem back so that they could let him invade the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy so that they could live peacefully for some time, but it was not chosen by Davis.

Managing to earn the favor, or even if it was the slightest bit, was one thing, but earning the complete ire?

That was beyond foolish, but it made her know how important she was to him yet again. Even offending a Supreme Ruler can’t compare to keeping the first wife safe and dignified?

A rare blush colored her cheeks as it spread to her ears.

"I wouldn’t know what I would do without you..."

Davis froze.

He had Heart Intent active to check if any dangerous souls were hidden here, yet it fully caught Evelynn’s overwhelming emotions of desire and unquenchable love, nearly making him twitch in nirvana. He hurriedly deactivated his Heart Intent to not get overwhelmed since he always craved her love and affection, secretly holding his breath as he smilingly looked away and laughed.

"Let’s quickly leave. We can flirt later."

"That won’t do. You must take care of Illumina or..."

Evelynn sent a soul transmission as she slightly looked back at the relieved expressions of Ophirya Kaelis and Jillian Hayden.

Davis blinked.

There she went, recommending some woman to keep him happier like she did during this trip. But this was a reward given with her full heart behind it without any ulterior motives.

He laughed inside jubilantly since he felt accepting of it for what he achieved yesterday, bringing the Golden Era and even hitting a Supreme Ruler’s face with complete disrespect.

He walked past Evelynn and appeared before Ophirya Kaelis.

"Say, do you sense anything dangerous with your karmic arts? I also need to personally check all your clan members to see if there are any spies. It’s okay if there are spies. I won’t blame you, but the current situation demands that I check stringently. They might have some items that could’ve gotten karmically entangled with the Hydra Galaxy."

Ophirya Kaelis held her hands over her bosoms, looking worried the entire time before she finally relaxed, seeing that it was Davis and another Divergent.

But now that Davis asked her, doubting her clan, her heart sank.

However, she quickly nodded, "Please check. We have nothing to hide. However, I don’t think I sense any danger through my bloodline, and I don’t dare use my divination arts. Both of these are useless when it comes to detecting threats from the Hell Hydra Monarch and similar powerful beasts and cultivators."

"Don’t use divination arts to uncover the movements of half-step divinities. You will die a cruel death." Davis warned softly before adding, "But you don’t need to use divination arts. Just use ocular or soul sense karmic arts to discover if there is someone kind of gaze looking at us from a long distance or even a dimension."

Seeing the hesitance in Ophirya Kaelis’s gaze, he added again, "I don’t want to trouble you, but I don’t know such a technique, and I don’t have time to learn from you too. I’ll temporarily bring your clan members somewhere else while we take some other route. You can hold this against me if you want to and go somewhere else. I’ll consider it even for saving you."
